TGI FRIDAYS - Buffalo (Downtown)
The food was good, however service was slow and took a long time for food. Restaurant was not busy, seemed to be short staffed considering the amount of time to get a clean table and food. Also floors where extremely dirty.
This TGI Friday's was great. The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. I would definitely come again.
Staff was extremely short handed and the service we received, showed it. Our server took drink order immediately but took 20 min to get our drinks! Food was barely acceptable; most arrived cold (found out the managers had to cook that night). Server never came back to our table at any point to check on whether or not we needed anything, etc.
Normally TGIF can be depended upon for good service and food; thus why we booked here to begin with. We will never return here. Our server told us when paying our bill that the night before she was the ONLY server on staff and that most customers were not happy that evening..
Great variety on the menu. There is something to suit everyone’s tastes. Loved the Carolina Reaper wing sauce! The ribs had great bbq sauce but the quality and preparation of the ribs wasn’t great. Service was excellent and overall good experience. Thanks!
The food and service was very good, but the restaurant was freezing.
The service was terrible. We had to wait forever for drinks and any other requests (ketchup, enough cutlery for the table) we had to ask several times. We waited 20 minutes for our bill. On our way out we went to use the ladies room and decided to skip it because it was absolutely disgusting. We were there at 12:00 right as they opened so how the restroom was in such a disgusting state is beyond me.
We go to Friday’s before the theater.
Waitress was great! Food came cold, also overcooked shrimp. Then was made fresh. The wi-fi wasnt working.
Waited over an hour for food. Got the wrong appetizers. Ran out of our drinks
We had to ask for silverware and place mats, the space was dingy and pot smoke wafted in every time the door opened. Food was about what you'd expect. I wouldn't return.
Service is extremely slow..and overall poor. When food arrived it was not what was ordered...even took awhile to pay.
Food was mediocre. Wait staff were awesome. Hubby had steak and shrimp. Steak was overdone and shrimp breaded and fried - menu said grilled. Couldn't find the onions in my onion rings. My hamburger was ok.
We went to TGIFriday’s fir dinner before a show at Shea’s. The service was excellent and we had plenty of time to get to our seats before the performance began.
Very slow lunch service and out of menu items after we ordered them. Very ghostly vibe also--no one in there, no music playing and very awkwardly quiet. Doors to the kitchen were also open and it just seemed very dirty. Maybe if they sped up their lunch service for business people who only have an hour to eat, they would have more business.
The server was very friendly and knew the menu, well. The food was exception but satisfactory.
Came here before a show. Sat for 15 minutes without seeing a server. The place was empty, so no excuse. We left and went somewhere else on Chippewa.
Everything was great food was amazing only thing was the bathroom was nasty asf need to be clean better made me sick to my stomach
Took over 20 minutes to get drinks, food came out about ten minutes after that and all we ordered were wings. An overall bad experience
Slow service, over cooked ribs very dry, wrong drink order
Made reservations on line and when we got there they did not have them on their list. Would not seat two of the four party, was going to get a drink and look at the menu while waiting . There answer to me well go to the Bar. I will never go here again
Restaurant was dirty; floors were sticky; napkins on the floor.
Slow service - Over worked Waitress - food took forever - dinner was almost two hours!
Soup cold and food was not like our last visit will not go back especially when we go to Sheas
Had reservation at 5:15 arrived at 10 after was seated right away but no one came to take drink order nor did we have silverware. Another party we were meeting came and we're seat at the table next to use so we just joined them and still took another 20 mins before drinks were ordered. Didn't have any lemon for our water. Tea was never served but was on the bill. Took and hour before we got our food it was cold and not good but ate cause I was hungry. Only had 3 types of salad dressings. Overall just a horrible experience.
Fridays isn't what it used to be, but my experience this past weekend was much better than other recent visits. The food has changed and the prices have become unreasonable- some basic dishes cost more than the nicer places nearby like Bijou. In the past year, several visits took twice as long as necessary, almost causing us to be late to our show at Sheas, and often leaving us feeling ignored. However, this past Saturday when we dined there before Cats, the service was fast and we had plenty of time to spare before the show. I hope this becomes the trend!
Excellent service .... friendly delicious food fast serv
Serice was slow. Waited an hour for our food. However, food was good.
Had tickets for Sheas, made reservations for 4:45 so we would have plenty of time before the 7pm show... we weren’t seated for 10 minutes with a reservation, waited 15 minutes for our drinks to be served, 45 minutes for appetizers to arrive and another 45 for the entree which was burned beyond being edible, the surrounding tables we having the same issues except their food was cold not burnt. Poor waitress was very apologetic, said they just had 4 employees quit, and the fact that the restaurant was too busy cooking for the hotel and the 4 Uber/skip the dishes companies that they serve also but the manager was too busy cooking the food to come out and apologize . I will never go to Friday’s on Main Street again.
Even with a reservation, it took 20 minutes to be seated with numerous tables being open. There was a lack of staffing causing my table to wait an additional 30 minutes before we had anyone come to take our drink order, and that was only due to me getting up and going to the kitchen to inform the staff that our table had not been addressed. We had chosen this location as it was close to the Shea's theater. Our show started at 7, we had a reservation at 5:15 and showed on time. However, due to the slow service we were not able to eat any of our food as it was served about 5 minutes before we had to leave to get to the venue. An order of 4 drinks, wings, turkey burger and a bowl of soup, being over 50.00 and taking almost an hour and 35 minutes to serve. I would not recommend this location to anyone again.
Service terrible, did not have the beer I requested from the menu, then when changed it failed to arrive so I had to fetch it off the bar side myself. The place needs a makeover as looking very tired like the waitress.
Super disappointed this time at this location. Ibhad such a great experience last year that I decided to bring a group of 7 to uave the same experience. Total opposite. Server was great but had to deal with a horrible bartender who messed up drinks and kitchen who messed up 4 of 7 orders.
I would recommend to come back and only sit at the bar.
We went to Friday’s for dinner before the sabers game! Our waiter was awesome, he actually talked and enjoyed talking to his customers. He was very energetic. All the staff there was very nice. The food was amazing, I got the 6 oz. steak and shrimp and it was outstanding! Highly recommend this restaurant
Service was good ,food arrived in about 30 mins, kids meal ok, salmon dinner ( vegetables dried out/old) , salad with chicken ( chicken was so over cooked that could not cut it) sent it back and did not get another since took 30mins for first one to come. Manager did come over and was very nice and took cost of salads off total bill but still paid for other meals and drinks.
Couldn’t even eat. Got there 10 minutes prior to our open table reservation and waited 40 minutes before the hostess recommended we go next door to Expo because the kitchen was so backed up and it was going to be another hour or so. This location doesn’t hold up to reservations.
Never got seated. Had to leave and search for fast food to be able to make it to an 8:00pm theater performance. Reservation was at 6:15pm. Left at 6:40pm.
It was a good meal served in a timely fashion. Got us out in plenty of time for the show at Shea's
We arrived for our reservation, which wasn’t on a list, but were seated promptly anyway. We sat for 10 minutes without anyone coming to acknowledge us and noticed the four (4) tables around us had not been waited on either. Two of the tables received water and were told the waiter would be back - we witnessed that. We overheard patrons at the tables saying that they were extremely understaffed that day... so if fully staffed it may be a great place. We were there for a show at Shea’s and didn’t have time to wait, so we left and grabbed a couple lunch bars from our car and went over to Shea’s and ate them with bottled water before the show. It’s too bad more downtown restaurants are not open on Sundays when a show is at Shea’s - especially Hamilton that was sold out!
We arrived early for our reservation and despite there being over half the tables in the restaurant open, we were asked to wait. We speculated that this may be because they didn’t have enough staff and I think that was the case. We were seated before 5pm and our waitress was very friendly (perhaps overly so - spent a lot of time talking to us). She took our order just after 5pm but came back to tell us one of the items ordered wasn’t available (the spinach quest dip - a favourite at Friday’s). So we ordered quesadillas but asked for them with just cheese (no chicken, onions or peppers). Then we waited. Just before 6pm I we flagged down a n employee passing our table to ask what was going on with our order as we hadn’t seen our server. She said she would check into it. About 5-10 minutes later we got our food, but the quesadilla had everything in it. Our waitress apologized and showed that she had entered out correctly when ordering. She left to talk to the kitchen manager who claimed that they couldn’t make quesadillas without chicken, peppers or onions. So I asked to speak to her. She said our server was from another location and didn’t know how they did things at that location. Even if that’s true, the kitchen should have told her when they saw our order that it couldn’t be done that way, not just gone ahead and made it. The kitchen manager offered to make us another quesadilla with just cheese (even though she’d just said that wasn’t possible). She seemed annoyed by the whole thing. Our server was very apologetic and took off the quesadilla from the bill, as well as an order of mozzarella sticks we’d received. This was appreciated and we tipped her well as the things that had gone wrong didn’t seem to be her fault. Other than the quesadilla, the other food was very good. It just took far too long and was a somewhat frustrating experience.
Ok, short staffed, so long wait to get served
Staff seemed overwhelmed. Took a long time to place order. Food not great
