TGI FRIDAYS - Minneapolis (St. Louis Park)
The person who seated me did not know what Open Table was, as I wanted to make sure it showed I showed up for my reservation. The waiter didn't know what Open Table was. A manager came and started telling me that I wasn't registered in their rewards program. I, again, told them I was talking about Open Table. It appears that they did finally get me checked in. Food was highly mediocre. Service was slow. I haven't been to a TGIF's in years, and won't be going back unless no other options available.
Very very slow service. Midway through my meal, wanted to ask for water. I didn’t because I knew I would not get it before I left.
What is going on with Fridays?!!! They used to be so good, now I'm not sure if or when I'll try again. Last time I went to the Maple Grove location, it took forever to get our food. The restaurant wasn't even busy, but they said they had alot of to go orders. When I finally got my burger, it wasn't even cooked! Cold and deep red all throughout. So this time we chose St Louis Park hoping for better. I ordered the French Dip. Service was terribly slow, and there couldn't have been more then 6 parties in the whole restaurant! I tried getting the servers attention after he dropped the food off because of the horrible smell coming from my plate, but no luck. My husband was just about done with his ribs by the time the server came back to check on us and I had given the plate to him. The meat was bad! I did taste just a small piece to see if my nose was deceiving me, but no. It was bad. The server told me the other table had said theirs was bad as well... Why then were they still serving it? Not crazy about the new menu, service, or going back unless they make some changes. Theres too many good restaurants in the area to consistently be disappointed by one.
. The hostess was great. The flatbread was awful. Tiny specks of chicken over the bread. It was dry and flavorless. I was very disappointed as I have been here a few times before.
Waitperson Abby was super in all aspects-suggestions, tech help, and overall competence.
Byron, our server, was excellent as he always is. We have lunch and dinner twice a month at TGIF.
Always good food and excellent drinks!
Waited 1 hour for food to arrive. Long time also for bill.
The restaurant was busy and they had a party of 40 that slowed the kitchen down. But the food was good as usual and the service was good considering a large party was ahead of us.
We had planned an outdoor party for my mom's 80th birthday. The night before the party it was apparent the weather was not going to cooperate. I made a reservation at Friday's for the next day at lunch and was so happy with their service. Super attentive and our waitress was fabulous. She kept all of our orders straight and handled our bills efficiently. Everyone enjoyed their food and we had a great time!
Unfortunately, our server was new and not up to the job.
Wish there was better Gluten Free options.
They are running a special on their ribs. They are great and the price can not be beat. You also get two sides. We took half the slab home and enjoyed it the next night, Highly recommend the ribs I had the BBQ sauce on the side and there are 3 choices of sauce. Go for it !!
Good food good environment
We had a group of 10 and Alan was attentive but knew how to read the table and left us alone when we needed it. I'd go here again.
When we arrived, it took at least ten minutes to see a host. When we did, I informed them we had a reservation. They made me right my name on a list in blue crayon, and walked away. We were eventually seated. I understand they were busy, but we had to ask for menu items more than once. One of our friends asked for water at least four times before being asked by the same waiter if he wanted water! I was very disappointed. The food was not warm when we finally got it. The best part was the drinks. We won’t be going to this location again.
The kitchen was low on staff, so wait time was long but when we did recieve our meals they were hot and delicious.
This group of friends goes to Friday's for Endless Apps every few months. It appears Friday's doesn't want anyone to do this any longer. They only have four choices now, they practically doubled the price, and the server said there is no sharing. Ridiculous. We won't be back.
We had a nice lunch. The food was good and our waitress was wonderful.
We have gone here several times because of ribs special, that’s over, but we have coupons sent to us good for 3 months. BOGO! Plus your call ahead open table app has worked out great. Friday night is date night for my wife and I, and restaurants are so crowded. We are going to try it on a regular basis
Casual dinner with a close friend. Ribs were terrible, sent back and got a burger instead. Way better choice by far. Definitely keep it simple here. Mozzarella sticks are crazy overpriced. Skip those.
Food and the waitress was good. However, it took a long while to wait to get our food.
Food was awful. Mozzarella sticks were soggy and flavorless and the Jack Daniel's sliders were like charred hockey pucks. They said oh we have a new cook, um don't they have to cook something up in their interview in order to be hired on? I won't be back.
Very disappointed. We ordered the $10 endless apps and NEVER received the 2nd apps we ordered even after we mentioned it 2 time and the waitress said she would get them. Service was very slow and they were not busy. Waitress was unfriendly and was hardly seen at our table we had to get up and search for the manager to talk about our apps we never got. The chicken flatbread we got was good but both burgers we got were so pink it was raw and not edible again waitress never came over to ask how how food was so we could tell her. Over all it was a terrible experience. We have had better service and food at McDonalds.
The food was awesome, but the service was slow due to the endless appetizers others were ordering. After being seated at a table we waited 5-7 minutes for a server just to take our drinks. We waited over 25 minutes for our drinks. Then waited another 25 minutes for our dinner(we didn't order the endless apps), and another 40 minutes for our dessert. To be fair the staff was running back and forth from the kitchen with appetizers. Also, the waiter was very friendly, but not attentive even after dinner was dropped off he never checked back in. We had to waive him down to order dessert and get refils. I'd love to go back, but maybe after the endless appetizers.
Wanted a good burger and fries both small on portions cheese melted off burger was not impressed with size of burger and amount of fries the rest of our food was good but portions on small side. wont be rushing back any time soon.
Normally I don't bother with writing reviews but this particular TGIFridays was a definate disappointment. The service was friendly but they must be understaffed. It was difficult to get the waiter's attention, it was hard to have a conversation due to the noise level, my order got messed up, and the bathrooms were in terrible condition. You could only use one of the three toilets. They really need to renovate. I will not go back to that location unless I hear that things have changed bigtime.
Server was great--kitchen took a long time to get the entrees out.
