This is our second visit to Volt and it did it disappoint , fantastic service, food was outstanding!
Worth it, as always. Volt keeps my wife happy, and I am the beneficiary.
The service was amazing. The food was very good but not the best I’ve ever had. There was much more focus on unique flavors and Instagram presentation than on taste and having enough to eat. Went home $350 poorer and still hungry.
First time at Volt after hearing rate reviews for years and it lived up to the praise! The service was enthusiastic, helpful and on the mark. Every dish melted in our mouths and elicited groans of contentment. I loved looking around at the art displayed and he enjoyed the original architectural details combined with the cool, modern decor. We can’t wait to become regular diners!
We went for our anniversary. Our only complaint was the maitre’d hovering over one of the employees as he working. It made us uncomfortable.
Volt was outstanding start to finish. The service was excellent. The food was incredible -- w touches like flash frozen crumbled feta in the beet salad that made it an amazing experience. Not to mention the salmon, which was flawless and the unique pear dessert which was lovely to look at and delicious. Would highly recommend.
Well worth every single penny. And I don't make a ton of pennies...
Eclectic and delicious menu. Pricey, but worth it. Food is top notch and service very attentive. Great cocktails and wine selection.
In-laws were visiting and we brought them for the experience. They were impressed.
We had gone for lunch during the Frederick Restaurant week. The menu offered a good variety for each course. Drinks were really enjoyable.
Everything was outstanding. Service was excellent. Food was amazing. Drinks were superb. Need to eat here more often.
Unreasonable noise in this small room for a 5:30pm reservation. It was restaurant week but still. Actually, there is always noise here for dinner when crowded. but as usual, the food was worth it.
We did the 3course menu. It was delicious and stunningly presented. Wait staff was attentive and very pleasant. Would definitely recommend!
Best meal of my life! Staff could not have been more attentive. Told them we had a funeral in an hour and they gave us a fabulous lunch, on time, with coffee without feeling rushed. Can’t wait to go back.
Got there before they were open and were graciously allowed to wait rather than going back out into the cold.

The manager was going to email me but never did...,, on March 5th (4) of us had dinner. I did not know it was restaurant week. We were seated next to a table if 8 that were so noisy we could not have a conversation. I think our table was squeezed in to make extra room for the week. I had to ask 6 times for bread. The menu was abbreviated unfortunately. It wAs my daughter’s birthday and she drove from Potomac. I had made arrangements fir a dessert with a candle. They forgot. Had to remind them after we were finished eating. Very disappointing. We should have been informed that menu was different when making the reservation. We spent nearly $700. I will gladly pay that Amount for a meal but that was a disappointment. Lots of staff but not well informed....must admit was embarrassed to entertain someone else.
A little disappointed this time. The Restaurant Week menu did not have many selections. I got the hanger steak - which I was warned about by someone who ate there Wednesday- and it was very tough. My gf got the salmon and was equally unimpressed. We have eaten at Volt before and had wonderful experiences.... this time not so much. Our waiter was wonderful but we expected better food and selection.
Service was fantastic and food was fun and FULLY flavored. Enjoyed every bit of it.

What an experience! It was just wow! Food was amazing.
Artfully plated, interesting and enjoyable combinations of flavors and textures; with every detail expertly executed by a professional, pleasant, knowledgeable waitstaff who makes one feel comfortable. All this and a lower price for Restaurant Week, what's not to like?
Volt is great. The back room could use a little more decor. ( white walls and a white ceiling ) but the food is great.
Not saying it needs to look like an Applebee’s but it would be a little more stimulating to have a painting or two on the wall.
Good but there were a few issues that I wouldn't expect at a restaurant of this caliber
We had an excellent dinner at VOLT. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and the staff was so kind. He even got a special dessert! Would go back in a heartbeat!
I let the staff know ahead of time that I was mostly vegetarian, but need to be completely dairy free. The waiter read the comments and verified that it would work out, even checking to see if butter is ok with me (it is). The resulting dinner for me was spectacular. My husband also had a delightful meal, with seafood in three of the four courses. Delightful!
As always, Volt delivers an amazing meal, service, and experience. There isn’t anything I can say that I haven’t before. If you love a world class meal, Volt your spot in the Frederick area.
If you want to celebrate a special occasion or just treat yourself, this is the place.
I had the pork chop which was extremely succulent. Sometimes they can be a little dry; not this one. Wow was it great. Colleagues had the filet. They raved how great they were. Everything was extremely good. I can’t wait to go back.
Food was great. My wife tried to be adventurous and order the Foie Gras and didn't enjoy it very much. My steak was a little overcooked but still tasted good. Overall a great experience and we will he returning.
Wonderful food in an incredibly cozy setting with phenomenal service. I commend the chef because everything was incredibly well executed in creative and fun way, love the use of food science, with incredibly knowledgeable staff. The value for the food was great as well, I was surprised in a good way when the bill came.
Everything was great. Our first visit there. We ordered ala carte menu and were not disappointed. We placed our complete order and the food came out as we completed our courses. Very little wait between courses and the staff was excellent in making recommendations. A great place for special occasions.
An excellent dining experience. Service was wonderful -- our water glasses stayed full and our server regularly checked in without being intrusive. All of the food was delicious. I started with the beet appetizer. The beets had great flavor, and I really enjoyed the pumpernickel crumble and goat cheese that accompanied the beets. The pork chop entree was superb. Perfectly cooked meat, and the quince purée reminded me of the classic applesauce pairing. It was a perfect blend texturally and flavor-wise. Dessert was especially whimsical. The "Black Forest" looked like a giant mushroom in soil. It was chocbolate forward without being too sweet. All of the flavors worked well together without tasting muddled.
I truly enjoyed my experience at VOLT and it definitely exceeded my expectations!
Every time we mentioned visiting Frederick, MD, Volt came up. Everyone said we had to eat there. So we did, and they were absolutely right! Amazing food, fantastic service, lovely restaurant. We opted for the nine-course tasting menu, which included three small bites as appetizers, a goat-cheese ravioli that was simply amazing, several small meat courses (squab, rockfish, filet) and a dessert. I know I've missed one course (sorry 'bout that) but each one was just a delight. We do plan to go back because this level of fine dining is such a treat. If you're in Frederick, GO TO VOLT. (But make a reservation -- they are popular!)
Our meal at Volt was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a long time. My spouse and I had the tasting menu, and out of nine dishes, only three were good. Scallop crudo was borderline tastless. Pheasant was dry and chewy. A beet macaroon stuffed with butternut squash was pointless - like eating a wafer with a creamy center. Service was indifferent. We were not asked a single time in the course of our meal how we were enjoying it, which reinforced our overall impression that no one cared to be there or cared about creating a positively memorable experience for diners who are spending way too much for such profound mediocrity. Either we were burned by coming the day after Valentines Day (despite not being there to celebrate that holiday) or the Voltaggios have resorted to riding the coattails of their TV success. Fortunately, our Air BnB and the streets of Frederick offered charms that Volt no longer seems to possess, so we had too good a time to care. The next time we come back however, our "destination" will not be Volt.
High end and very interesting dinner experience. Pricey, but definitely worth the experience.

Food was excellent. The lunch service was a bit lacking. Delayed drink orders (although beer was ultimately comp'd) and overall lack of attention by server.
Also $18 for the ravioli app (three small raviolis) was a bit excessive. The $16 burger and fries was an excellent value and very high quality. Overall a very nice lunch experience.
I always live dining at Volt. Valentines Day dinner was a 10 course tasting menu that was fantastic. Can’t Wait to visit again.
