Having been to the Savoy many times to eat in the restaurants we thought we would try the afternoon tea. Very disappointed the sandwiches dried out, the tea was cold, no water on arrival the service was not good. It was our wedding anniversary we had been looking forward to the Savoy re opening after lock down but we wish we hadn't bothered. It cost so much money for really a poor afternoon out. I know we are in a pandemic the atmosphere was terrible we felt like everything was an inconvenience. Sorry savoy you need to sort things out.

Everything about our visit was special. We were celebrating our mothers 80th birthday. The staff treated her like royalty. The food was tasty. The atmosphere perfect. In fact we were all treated like queens.

Not much can be done right now to improve the situation as this was down to the emptiness of the restaurant due to Covid. Its all very sad but the experience was very personal and the staff were lovely.

Service was brilliant. As soon as we arrived the gentleman on the door helped our 91 year old mother out of the car by getting a step for her. She was made to feel special for the afternoon and loved it.

The most sensational Afternoon Tea experience. Service was impeccable, staff were so friendly and so happy to go above and beyond for anything we asked for. The room is stunning and the live pianist just tops the icing on the cake . His music made me so emotional. It was Spectacular!!

A lovely experience at the Savoy. The staff really do make you feel special and are very personable.
The food was delicious with the brown shrimp on charcoal bread and mont blanc pastry to die for.
Had an amazing time and the staff were wonderful! Managed to forget about all things COVID-19 for a few hours
I found the service to be outstanding and the food also. I wound have liked the scones to have been bigger.

Very poor. The Savoy afternoon tea turned out to be the best advert for the Ritz afternoon tea which is vastly superior. Have come away feeling ripped off.
Waited an eternity for the tea to be brought to the table, and the teapot was leaking. Then took forever to replace this and waiter telling us he scalded his hand over and over wasn’t right! Yes we felt sorry for him but this was supposed to be a special day for us at £85 a head it’s not good!
The sandwiches were average and not topped up.
Definitely won’t be recommending this to anyone.
Had also informed that it was mother’s birthday in advance and a miserly slice of cake was finally brought up after the bill was settled and as we were leaving the table. I am generally pretty easily pleased but this was not a pleasing experience. We won’t be back!

Excellent service. The waiters were very friendly. They knew your name before you arrived and were very attentive without being intrusive. I was a little disappointed that there were not unlimited finger sandwiches however as I would have like a few more.

Looking to thank my loved one who has given so much caring for those with COVID-19 to show her that she is so special and appreciated; so it had to be the Savoy as prompted by recent TV viewing. Afternoon tea with bubbles and so well looked after by the kindly service team; no snobbery just made to feel at home with friends. For all connoisseurs of the most English activity of taking afternoon tea you will not be disappointed as the selection of fair will delight your pallet; light quality finger sandwiches and pastries and scones that melt in the mouth with a selection of refreshments to suit young and not so young. Do not hesitate treat yourself soon. Excellent sanitising and social distancing practice evidenced so book with confidence for that special occasion or just a treat.

A superb experience over all! We ordered high tea with exquisite sandwiches to start and a beautiful selection of sweets and scones to finish.
The salmon dish, an additional second course added on top of the afternoon tea standards, left something to be desired. It was adequate but lacking the 'wow' factor expected for this venue and this price.
With a stronger second course I would find it hard to fault high tea at the Savoy!

Absolutely stunning traditional afternoon tea to cheer us up in this miserable pandemic. We’ve done a few afternoon teas in various top London hotels but the Savoy did not disappoint. The service and attention was wonderful, not too much but just enough to make you feel really valued as a customer. Our host was Michelli (apologies if I’ve spelt that wrong) but he was delightful and so engaging. Nothing was too much trouble and he explained each part of the tea in great detail. The sandwiches were a good selection and he offered us a swap if there was something we didn’t fancy. These were followed by beautiful pastries and scones. The hotel was very COVID safe and they were meticulous with cleanliness around the tables after each guest. The experience was lovely and we’d highly recommend The Savoy.

The ambiance was the usual, they didn't do their festive decorations as yet. The live music was lovely, a sax player, pianist and singer. The food was ok, some sandwiches were good, some were bad and the scones got hard very quickly. It was my mate's birthday and we got a happy birthday dessert. What made it wonderful day was the server, he was new to afternoon tea, as he previously worked at the bar, think it was Mikhail from Italy! Wonderful service from start to end! He even helped us chose some wonderful cocktails!

Found value for money poor
Not enough jam and cream with scones sandwiches were a little disappointing in flavour desserts in impressive with little imagination and finish of this quality of hotel.
