The Bel Air
We had a fantastic dinner at The Bel Air! Our waiter was attentive, the ambiance was lovely, and the food was fantastic! Every single item was delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely be back.
The service was lovely: friendly, professional and accommodating. The indoor seating is very comfortable; we were there on a Thursday night—there were very few tables occupied so we could easily have a conversation. I imagine that even when it is more crowded the ambience would be lovely. The music was lovely and not so loud that it interfered with talking.
The food (salmon and branzino) was perfectly prepared and presented beautifully in plates that kept the food hot. We share the tuna tartare as a first course and enjoyed it thoroughly.
I reserved a booth for four ladies—a surprise birthday party for one of the ladies who turned 92. The maître d’ allowed us to set up balloons and flowers for our cozy booth prior to our reservation time.
Another friend, who is a regular, recommended the chicken and spinach with potato gnocchi. All four of us ordered that dish and we thought it was the best chicken we had ever tasted, extremely moist and flavorful.
The restaurant served cake, ice cream, and a candle to the birthday lady.
I highly recommend this restaurant. I understand the Bel-Air Bar and Grill is now called the Bel Air restaurant—new name but same delicious food and great atmosphere.
Great server - Toni - wonderful experience. Next time we'll reserve a table further back where it's quiet.
Amazing experience, very relaxing environment
We were very disappointed . Last week my husband lunched there and saw that the menu included filet steak. The online menu also included it. But when we went Fri night the waiter informed us it had been
eliminated 2 or 3 days prior. Why?
And please remove it from your website, very misleading.
The waiter was fine, ambiance, etc., but we will probably not return.
Sad, we live so close, and really loved it before all the changes on the menu.
Too many "fancy" sauces, ingredients. Get back to basics.
Visited The Bel Air for a business lunch today... always a great choice! Their new winter menu has some wonderful choices... really loved the beet salad! Turkey bolognese never disappoints and the chopped salad is perfect. Of course, even just the pretzel bread is worth the trip. Go! Enjoy!
Had an amazing meal, great service and beautiful environment. My idea of a perfect restaurant.
The Bel Air is a lovely place for lunch. The tomato soup with cheese bread is
fantastic. We enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the attentive service.
There are delicious salads and entrees too.
I've been meeting my friends here for many years.
Thank you for your kind works! We wish a happy and healthy 2020!
The food was very mediocre and the service was slow! I have.been to The Bel Air for dinner and it was much better! This lunch was very disappointing! I won’t be going back!
Always consistent food and great service. The ambiance is also good for conversations
Nice ambience. Good food. Very quiet. What could be better?
I was hosting 4 women for lunch for their birthdays. Your surpirse gift of individual birthday cakes with ice cream, candles included, was delightful and delicious. We will all definitely return.
This restaurant never disappoints! Varied menu, interesting menu, delicious menu!
We like it here because it is quiet, the food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent. Their pretzel rolls are also yummy.
Their turkey Bolognese is great, especially for someone who doesn’t eat red meat. But for those who do, meatloaf Monday is really a terrific deal.
Ok, not great. Not as good as the restaurant it replaced.
Great food but awfully pricey. Terrific location for valley and city friends to meet.
Love the Bel Air! Great food!
My wife and I often dine at the Bel Air Grill after one of our visits to the Getty Center. It's a terrific restaurant with a unique and varied menu.
For the appetizers, we shared a delicious autumn squash soup and a plate of calamari which is one of the best we've tasted, and always order when we eat here.
For the entrees, I ordered the roasted Branzino, seasoned with slices of papaya. Very unique and tasty. My wife ordered Fettucine with turkey bolognese sauce, which she has ordered in the past. This time she thought the sauce wasn't cooked long enough and was missing some flavor.
The service was excellent. Our waiter was courteous, professional, never hurried us, always nearby when we needed him.
I’ve been going there over 25 years. Service was worse than ever. No one offered ground pepper for salads until asked. Special and severe dietary requests were made at the time of order and not thought through. Manager deleted meal from bill. After one snafu after another we got a new server. I don’t know that I’ll return again. Very disappointed.
Excellent and intelligent menu selections. Great service. A bit pricey but then again, it's Bel Air.
We had an event to get to and our main course was delivered too late to enjoy. Had to get a to go box
We were thrilled to be introduced to this lovely dining spot. What a marvelous opportunity to have a conversation in a restaurant— I can’t remember the last time that happened!
Food was delicious and service very good. Special attention was paid to allergic components too. We will return!
Always great. They do special requests of one of our favorites that’s not always on menu. How great is that!
The food is outstanding and you can actually have a conversation- it’s not noisy and impossible to hear your companions. And while it’s on the pricier side - the quality is superb and compared to other restaurants in the same price tier - so much better. Healthy options as well as delicious comfort food and innovative dishes, too. It’s a hidden gem and our favorite go-to lunch dinner and special occasion spot. The location is also great for meeting friends who are driving from the valley to the west side. Parking is easy, too. Valet or street readily available.
This was a lovely place to have lunch and catch up. Service was just right - not too much, and not too little. I was happy to have made the choice to somewhere new.
The food was not bad. But it felt like the early bird crowd in Southern Florida was in the house. I am 55 years old and I was ten years younger than the next diner. It was nice and quiet...
The ambiance is lovely, but the food was mediocre to bad, greasy and overpriced. The wedge salad is a joke. It has a sweet dressing and truly lousy. The braised short ribs were terrible. 3 people at the table had them and everyone left them. My fish was ok/ but they refused to takeoff the head or remove the bones. Our waiter on the other hand was outstanding! He couldn’t have been better!!! The place was nearly empty- maybe others have been once and aren’t returning either.
Food is excellent and the tables and booths are situated so that you can have a conversation. The wait staff is attentive and anticipates your needs (more bread without asking).
While the food is good, it's too overpriced. Especially for lunch.
Good food. Creative menu that is always seasonally changing, so it’s fun to discover new dishes. An exception: the seating in some of the booths need refurbishment; way to soft & “pushed down”......should be firmer. Wish you had a patio!
Neighborhood Gem! Lovely to be able to have a conversation with dinner mates without saying what, what, what, I can't hear you.
A great neighborhood restaurant for city City and Valley people to meet for dinner or lunch. Friendly, efficient service. Valet parking or street parking. easy on off the 405. Varied menu, something for everyone.
Restaurant is very convenient off 405. Room is dark so not very inviting. Salmon was delicious
I love the Bel Air, but only wish it stayed open until 10p on weeknights. 9p is early.
Every time I try this restaurant I’m disappointed. The location and ambiance are great yet the food continues to disappoint. Average at best.
We always enjoy the Bel Air. The food is good; there are enough dishes to choose from every time we go. The servers are so nice. It feels like home to us!
