The Blue Bicycle
Creative cuisine in the North Georgia mountains! The trout was amazing and tasty. The steak au poivre; perfect!
We were visiting the area from North Carolina and wanted a place nearby to eat. Ran across the restaurant and the menu sounded intriguing.
Excellent menu and service. Not at all what you’d expect, especially the menu with a broad range of food. Has a definite French influence. Prices are reasonable. The location is very unassuming. Dress code was casual.
We’d go back again. Excellent!
Went with friends to celebrate selling our home! Our second time there and they did NOT disappoint!! Everyone’s meal was delicious.
Food was extremely salty, both entrees. Hostess was NOT nice.
Always good, this visit was even better. Terrific service, food and ambiance makes this our favorite spot in the area by far. Six of us—six clean plates. Steaks, fish and Osso Bucco were all fabulous. Somehow we made room for desserts. Apple crisp, creme brûlée and chocolate mousse were awesome caps on the evening.
Having lived in the area the last 15 years, we have happened across this place before. It was a weeknight, and we just finished our taxes and needed to celebrate. We made reservations and were quickly seated when we arrived. After a cocktail and an incredible salad, we had our entrees. My wife's steak was perfect, but the veal scallopini was fabulous! I carried that taste into the next day. Then the hazelnut mouse! We almost needed CPR! The service was perfect for the event. Always at our disposal but not hovering.
Cozy restaurant located near Dawsonville outlet mall. A hidden gem that never disappoints! Crab cake app is one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The drinks are always top notch. One of our favorite restaurants.
We love the Bike! The food is always consistently very good and they always have new items and farm to table stuff; we just love it!
They had a new app this week--hummus! It was yummy and presentation was elegant. We thoroughly enjoyed it along with our favs pork shank and the steak frites.
Our server, Doreet (sp), was a dream and we were well taken care of.
Rock on Blue Bicycle!
Good service. Food was good, but slightly undercooked and temperature could be warmer. I like my food sizzling hot, not just warm. Selection was very good. The overall experience just undershot “excellent”.
This is an excellent little restaurant tucked into a strip shopping center. I live in another state so this is my first visit in over two years but it was as good as the last time. The halibut special was flavorful and cooked to perfection. It has a cozy quiet atmosphere and I'll definitely be back next time I'm visiting the area.
My only complaint was that I had indicated on Open Table and mentioned it three times to server that we had a person who was celebrating her 90th birthday and they did not comp a dessert or anything for her as is often done in so many restaurants. Very disappointing!
Fabulous as always. I had the pork shank. Delish as always. Hubby had steak frites. Scrumptious. Friend had the steak au poivre, her alltime fav. The drinks were fantastic. Service was the best, Chris, he's the best!
It is one of our favorite places to dine. Every time we dine we are reminder why we return.
American cuisine with French and Southern influences! Great atmosphere!
Reservations are a must unless you get lucky!
This place is tucked away in an office park of sorts. Step inside to a different world. We had a group of 6 ladies. The restaurant was full at lunch and we had reservations. Our server Chris was great. Between the 6 of us we covered everything from appetizers (crab cakes!), salads and full entrees. I had the Penne Porcini. It was fabulous, as good or better than any Italian restaurant. It had the perfect amount of sauce, not stingy, not overwhelming. Pasta to mushrooms ratio was just right too. It was also a nice portion for lunch. With a bigger appetite, I could have added a side salad and maybe had enough pasta for a to-go box. The only downside is the 18% gratuity added for parties of 6 or more. If I'm told what I'm going to tip, that's what I'll tip...and, I would have normally tipped more.
