Sunday afternoon lunch for two .....it was very nice, albeit under the current restrictions .
Both of us opted for pork roast dinner, very tasty.

I had the black rice and butternut squash salad as a starter which was so good, very gingery and fresh, I could have eaten a lot more of it. I had the jackfruit burger as my main, cheese was nicely melted, interesting texture of the burger - quite dense but not dry at all. Would suggest swapping the thin fries for chunky ones.
Overall as a vegan I had a delightful meal as did my meat eating boyfriend who had the venison terrine, fish and chips aka sticky toffee pudding (unsurprisingly he was very full).
Will definitely visit again once lockdown is over!

Food was very disappointing. Gone downhill hugely since we last came here.

All was good, but as was with a previous visit, we waited a long time, maybe 10 minutes or more before a waitress introduced herself at our table, and took our drinks order. On our previous visit, our drinks arrived after our meal !!

But the ambience is good, the food is good, and when the service eventually arrives is pleasant.

Good food we had the Sunday lunch and it was lovely not too big like some places but plenty.
For dessert we had the banoffey cheesecake which was light and fluffy. I have marked down on service as they forgot one of the coffees but they did bring it when asked again and didn't took it off the bill. I would definitely visit again as it is a lovely venue on the river. This was a wedding anniversary dinner and not that I expected anything as they were advised it was a special event that they acknowledged it as such.

Slightly offhand waitress who told us that despite a good selection of cocktails, the barman was unable to make a basic dry martini! Nonetheless a good lunch with a great table overlooking the river.

Lovely atmosphere and excellent food. The servers were very efficient and unobtrusive.
The position of the table by the window overlooking the river was beautiful but the only caveat I have is that it was very noisy from other diners and because the ceilings are very high in that part of the room very echoey and my husband who suffers from tinnitus found it difficult. We will certainly come again especially as live 3 minutes walk away but will request a table in a corner on the slightly higher level where the bar is situated where it is likely to be more comfortable for my husband. My comments are strictly personal and in no way represent criticism of the restaurant which was excellent.

Lovely location, but make sure you Google the local car park before you go as you can't park directly on the island.

Staff welcoming and friendly and COVID controls well implemented with good separation between tables and policing of masks when not at the table.

Amazing view out on the river with panoramic views through the glass.

Food was delicious and beautifully presented.

Wife treated me and the kids to my 40th Belated Birthday celebration weekender, really excellent place to dine.

Absolutely a amazing venue, service and staff were just as amazing also. Food was incredible, highly highly recommended but you will need to book accordingly to get the slot you desire.

Great meal, very reasonably priced, friendly staff. We had scallops, game terrine, Camembert and duck croquettes to start. Veggie and meat burger, chicken supreme and beef&ale pie. All delicious. Crisp white wine and an Espresso Martini. Beautiful views. COVID secure.

Been back again, after the last visit i can report that all is back to normal, the food was very good and tasty, good service and a great location all add up to a very pleasant evening out.

Fantastic food, amazing beef Wellington, and the very best customer service from both Abby and Orlaith. The Boathouse has now become my favourite restaurant anywhere in the world and I am fussy so this place is good!

Lovely riverside setting. Interesting menu choices, but vegetable curry very bland with bullet like chickpeas and roast pork sandwich dry with very tough pork slices and not enough apple sauce.

went a few weeks ago and it was excellent so decided to go back, still very nice and a great setting ,but the food just seemed a bit pre packed and bought in, some things were to wet with water in and the pudding was just dry and very indifferent. still a great setting and will give it another try.

We were looking for somewhere to meet friends and stumbled across this place on the Open Table app. Booked it and we are so pleased we did! Service was incredible as was the food. We travel and lot and can honestly say we experienced some of the best service and food we’ve ever had. Great choice of food, beautifully presented and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. This will definitely be our new meeting place.

Stunning setting overlooking the river, brilliant service and excellent food and drink. Stayed for hours as first time catching up with friends since March (plus a surprise birthday ambush!) and no pressure to vacate table. Top notch, highly recommend and will definitely go back.

The service staff and food was pretty good and overall atmosphere was lively. Though the decor was well designed, the (flood) lighting in the lower dining room could be bought down just a little to create a better ambiance. The menu had consisted of pretty simple pub staples, however, the fish items are the ones you should order.

Greeted at door in a very friendly and Covid secure way. The restaurant was full with a great atmosphere. Staff were all very attentive and well informed. A good team. Food was excellent.

There are many space available but just let us seat in inside the bar area can't enjoy it and feel not that special is same like eat in the pub and paid for expensive price for the food is not worth it and the food is not that nice at all .

We had starters and mains from the specials and the food was exceptional. The staff were very attentive and you have got a marvellous setting for a score out of 10 you would score 15 - way above the norm. Can’t wait to come back

Ordered steak not cooked as requested, poorly presented with no seasoning . Scallops presented on over spiced beans and not pleasant. Constant pressure to buy drinks when our glasses were more than half full.
