It never happened!! They closed at 5:00pm, the same time as my reservation so was turned away and had to find another restaurant to have a special birthday dinner.

We had a good time service food cost view awesome reservation easy parking good access .

Went with a friend for beer an apps. Service was fast, server was super nice.

The restaurant's food was very average like a Kelsey's. The view was great as was the service. Would only visit again for drinks on the patio. It's impressive that the steak sandwich uses prime rib, but it's not sliced so the fat pockets make it impossible to chew.

Food was great but was still very much hungry upon finishing our $25 meal.

Beautiful spot on the water overlooking Georgian Bay! Great server! Very good with Covid precautions.

We are from Midland and our friends chose The Boathouse again! We had taken them last year. Very pleased once again.

Beautiful location, looks like they have a great patio so probably a good place to meet for drinks. The food was pretty disappointing. We ordered the calamari to start which was actually really good. But the mains were not great. We ordered the fish sandwich and the BBQ chicken pizza. The fries that came with the fish sandwich were good but the sandwich was not enjoyable. My husband is usually a fan of fish sandwiches but he did not like this one. The BBQ chicken pizza had tomato sauce as a base, which would be ok if it was just a thin layer, but it was a lot of tomato sauce and then there was so a lot of BBQ sauce poured on top. The staff were friendly but kept their distance which we appreciated. We will likely go back and give it another try but the kitchen was pretty disappointing. Such a shame because it could be so epic!

We had an 8:00 reservation for Valentines. Arrived maybe 7 min early and were taken to our table right away. Our server (Jennifer???) was friendly, gave great advice when I asked for her opinion trying to decide between a few options. The food was great! We’ve been before on the patio in the summer, and we’ll be back! Thanks for a quiet, casual, yet well serviced Valentines dinner :)

Food and service were great. The live entertainment and long stem rose for my wife on valentine's day was a very nice touch. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Came here for New Year’s Eve with a group. We had a terrible experience. The drinks we ordered never came. We had to ask for things multiple times. Our pregnant guest didn’t receive her meal. Some items never came, the items that did come had things missing. Awful overall experience with food and service.

This was my second time eating at the Boathouse Eatery. The food and atmosphere was great. My only complaint is that it took a very long time for us to get served once we were seated at our table.

This is a pricey place. But sitting next to the window was too cold and also there where kids running around. Calamari was really good but the ketchup you can tell they open a can of no name and put it into Heinz bottles as the ketchup was grainy and sugary

Disappointed that band did not show up as we enjoyed them so much last year. Everything else was great.

Enjoy the water view. Food has always been excellent and helpful with accommodating a vegan.

A great spot right on the water to take in a beautiful sunset and meal with loved ones. We really enjoyed the ribs and boathouse salad. We’ll be back next time we’re in Midland!

We have been here three times this month and really have no negatives to report. The food is really good, fresh and promptly served with great service. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The weather outside was gusty but who really cares. Going again on Wednesday... we like it

We were a party of five and had made reservations earlier. Our table was ready when we arrived. We ordered our drinks which were promptly brought to the table by one of the servers with a smile which in itself is refreshing in our local restaurants. Each of us ordered different plates and they were exceptional... ample sized, fresh vegetables and outstanding taste. We were not rushed and really enjoyed our lunch. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect as well.

This was our first time in Midland and we really enjoyed the Boathouse food, the Jambalaya and chicken avacaco club, the ambiance and nice view of the harbour. We would definitely go again.

The kitchen needs some direction. The food was obviously all frozen, not fresh. Disappointed. The crispy fish tacos were soggy and tasteless. The fries tasteless - poor quality product. Would not recommend if you are looking for good fresh food.

We opted to sit inside so we could chat - nice place and a good selection of menu choices.

We had reserved a table on the patio. The food was good and there was live music. I thought the bad was quite good also. It was a nice casual outing.

little to no options for vegetarians. We were four with 3 separate orders. we ordered a vegetarian wrap which was recevied wtih bacon bits. When corrected, the wrong side dish was included. the second order of poutine, had huge chunks of cold cheese. By the time, it was heated, the plate was searing hot and appetite gone because of the long wait. A second glass of wine was ordered when the vegetarian dish was returned but arrived after everyone finished eating. Really disappointing for my young grandsons who were really hungry when we arrived. otherwise- great band an fabulous wings. need to step up attention to detail and expand vegetarian options.

Poor service...long wait time. Had fish and chips fish was awful and soggy chips good cold slew awful.

Our server was absent most of the night. Burger was good but the fish tacos were horrible. There was a house band that sounded depressed.

Love the place, but find it weird the rib and wing meal doesn’t come with a side.

We had a reservation for inside with the thought that there would be air conditioning which there wasn't. We were seated and waited 15 minutes and noone came to our table while we were getting hot sitting in the sun by the window. I stepped onto the patio to see how the temp was outside. We immediately grabbed a table on the patio and was served right away. The jambalaya was too spicey and didn't have much meat. The philly cheese sandwich didn't taste like beef at all. It was really crispy. The only meal that looked good was the wing/rib combo and the burgers. It was overpriced for what we got.
