Really good value for the voucher. I had plenty cocktails options, the food was delicious and the environment is cool. I recommended this place.

Really nice dinner, very quiet and relaxed as it was a Wednesday. The staff were very friendly and attentive, engaging and polite. The food was really delicious and the cocktails were brilliant as always. Really brilliant for a date night or relaxed and sophisticated evening with friends.

Great food and lovely staff, although a little expensive it is well worth it.

This place was great! I did not know what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. The sale selection was an experience in itself. The menu was simple which made it a quick read and easy to make a choice. There was excellent wait staff that assisted our table as a team. Great experience overall. It’s worth a try if you are considering a visit.

Nice place , good choice of cocktails! Would Highly recommend this place! Definitely will come back!

Last night in Portugal

We were actually offer to move to the restaurant if we would like to have move food than just drink which we think it was a good idea as it was a girl night out and we haven’t met for quite a while.
We were at the “Taste at rustic” the food was great the chef is nice and friendly.
However issue we had was “the waiter” they were quite rude and rush. They made us feel like we were cheap he instead of offered us like chef special or signature dishes, they were hardcore selling only most expensive dishes on the menu ( we found that really uncomfortable)

The gentleman who served us ask if we would like still or sparkling water. One of my friend said “Tap water please” for about 3 times but he completely ignored her. So we had to order still water because we thought they might not serve tap water here (but found out later they do have tap water in bottles in the fridge just behind our table)

After we finished our meal we ask for bill and it was almost €500 between 8 of us which was reasonable for dinner at fine dining restaurant. But we took quite some time to split the bill as some of us ordered some thing more expensive than others ,some just had water and some had cocktails.

A few of us paying in card and some pay in cash but we did not get the change back. It was a small amount of money but since we paid 12.5% service charge, the change should be given without enquiring about it. (And if we want to tip more for the service shouldn’t that be our decision? )

Unfortunately we won’t be returning ;(

Good value in the meal deal. Brilliant staff, we had a guy looking after us who was very engaging, attentive and funny. Food was good and cocktails were tasty and inventive

Courgette main was overpriced for what it was, music didn’t suit the vibe in the bar - too cheesy. Excellent service & the food was delicious. Very comfortable & aesthetically pleasing.

36e using a taste.ie voucher, that included the bonsai box with delicious cocktail and finished off with a glass of sake. Can't go wrong

The cocktails are a little over-priced but the Japanese food served in the bar area is amazing!

Excellent cocktails and food. Asian fusion cuisines are very creative and very delicious.
Strongly recommend the ice cream sandwich and the mayo with crisps. Cocktails are full of surprises! You never know how to combine wasabi into a cocktail until you try BONSAI bar!
Recommend to all the foodies!

Fantastic flavour in both food and drink, good value but not cheap.

From start to finish the service was absolutely incredible. Ewelina, talked through the whole menu and pushed going for the small bites menu so we could experience multiple dishes as it wa or first time.

Cocktails were right up there with the best in Ireland for flavour and balance.
Would like to see more of them being made with Japanese based alcohols instead of the bought out rail but creativity and presentation is the best I’ve seen.

Visited the Bonsai Bar for a birthday date, and had a gorgeous night. The service was really exceptional, our hostess made great recommendations and was very attentive. The food was delicious and as we were there before 8pm, the value was very good.

The staff was very accommodating as we booked a table at the bar instead of the restaurant upstairs. They managed to finds us a table while we were having drinks at the bar. I'm not a fan of Japanese food but our customer wanted to try some for the evening. We had a terrific waitress who was helping us with the dishes of choice and she was spot on, such great taste and variety. Can wait to come back for a special occasion and definitely will have more business related meals there!

Really great service here. Really enjoyed the drinks.

Despite making a booking via open table, we were told on arrival we only had a ‘drinks reservation’ which wasn’t the case. Very little done in an effort to correct the situation and resulted in us leaving as we had no other option.

Booked this lovey bar on Opentable with the intent to have a light tapas meal and cocktails with my wife one Friday night after work. Having ordered our first cocktails, we asked for the food menu. When the waitress returned she explained that they on Friday and Saturday nights they only serve food till 7pm. I did not complain, thinking that I stupidly must have missed that notice when booking. Once home I checked but can still not see any advice about this. I would be interested to know if anyone else is able to easily spot this. It is either very unclear or this place is misleadingly inviting bookings on the basis of food being available. Beware......
