    Second time there and very disappointed, service wasn’t great as the first time , we choose a table in the terrace as it was sunny . We made our order of food and drinks , the place don’t have license to sell beer, fair enough but first time we went there wasn’t a problem for the waiter order it from the pub beside for us, a this time he just said my partner have to get it from the pub himself. We also ordered water but it didn’t came to the table until we finish our stater and I asked the waiter where was the water, it came with no ice in the jar, in a warm day wasn’t great to drink . The main courses took so long to arrive, around 40 minutes after we finish our starters and the waiter said that the oven was broken. We finished and have to go inside to ask for the bill because no one came to check if we needed anything else.

    Food was really delicious we got a large portion of hot wings to share (think their hot sauce is made in house 10/10) and I got a green curry with prawns which was also so yummy! Himself got the beef burger and said it was one of the best he’s had! Only thing I would say is staff took a while to check on us and I had to go up to the till myself to pay as we were waiting a while, other than that definitely recommend a visit!

    Lovely restaurant. Staff very friendly. Vegetarian options poor. There was only one vegetarian dish which luckily suited me. The food tasted fresh and made with quality ingredients. My partner got the house burger which looked homemade and he said was delicious. The menu was small but this means what they do they do well. The place was spotless and seating comfortable. The only negative was our table was very small and felt crowded when our dishes and drinks when on the table. All in all a great find and we will 100% be back.

    Food was lovely but a number of items on the mains menu were unavailable leaving a limited choice. Room was slightly cold and music a bit beaty for my liking

    Lovely small restaurant. We’d only ever come for breakfast/brunch so this was our first time for dinner. It was very nice. The staff a so lovely and you feel very relaxed throughout. Would highly recommend.

    Very disappointed. Had an online reservation for Sunday 5.30pm for 5 on the terrace. Arrived and there was no staff to greet us. Waited and got someone's attention and got our table. I don't think our reservation even mattered as the table was not set up, and when I said I had a reservation, I got a suprised look. Seated and waited for menus. Eventually menus came and we had a longer wait to order food - 2 burger, 2 wings and pulled brisket salad( which came and looked nothing like the online photos)and fries. Bottle of wine ordered, wine glasses were slid across the table and wine was spilt when poured. It was over hour after we arrived before we got our food and the restaurant was not busy. Our table was not checked once after we were served. We stacked our plates after we finished just to clear some space as no-one was coming out to clear them. Adjoining table had an empty mains plate on it for over half and hour. Wings were served in a small bowl with the dip sitting on top of them and we weren't given wipes or a spare plate for the bones so it was a messy affair with the wings, sauce, bones in one small bowl. As no-one had come out to check on us, we had couldn't ask for wipes or bowls etc, or even drinks and I didn't want to have to leave the table and go inside and go looking for a staff member to get these. Very disappointed after reading good online reviews about this restaurant and seeing nice photos, but our experience was completely the opposite.

    We arrived at 1.30 but the lunch menu doesn't begin until 2pm so we had Brynch. Mediteranean open sandwich was delicious, Brass Onion Breakfast was very nice also but one pancake for €8 was very disappointing. French toast not good value either. The waitress was lovely, very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was bery pleasant.

    Excellent service. We were sitting on the terrace outside and it was a little bit breezy because there was a gap under the door. However, the restaurant did have good heaters and lovely blankets to use. The food was lovely. The Thai curry was a bit bland but packed full of vegetables and nice chicken. One of our guests had the burger which was gorgeous and another had the fish which was also gorgeous. We will definitely be returning.

    Ordered the burger with chicken which states on the menu grill chicken breast - it arrived as a patty which when I asked the staff they advised they ground all the chicken up. Didn’t taste like chicken at all, which was disappointing. Overall good is grand, nothing amazing. Service can be quite slow at times.

    First time there , nice place nice food . Service could be abit better .plenty of staff but noticed when asked for milk for our coffee we were forgotin about . And when we asked for menus they were just plopped on the table and walked away . But will be back as enjoyed food and atmosphere.

    Lovely evening for valentines, live music very relaxed atmosphere, great staff and service. My steak was a bit dissapointing, nothing wrong with the cooking it was just a bad cut of meat, very grisly and tough. Wouldn't put me off going back though. 💜

    This is a fabulous place for breakfast and lunch. Haven’t tried dinner yet but I will. The surroundings are beautiful, and the staff are amazingly friendly, a family-friendly establishment which is great to see. Bravo! Brass Onion. We will be back again and again
