The Buffet at River Rock Casino Resort

Joseph are server was kind, attentive and helpful.
The food was good. I will not ever book a table again. There was a charge on my bill that I was NOT informed about. The plates were cleaned quite quickly and efficiently. Could not get a servers attention at all to get a drink menu. Only ended up ordering 2 beverages at the table and there was a LOT more potential for alcohol sales. Poor service combined with feeling like a thief as we were walking out towards the cashier because one hostess was waving her hands at another saying do they have their bill.
Cashier had no idea how to operate the register and the other lady who probably did just stood there and watched.
Overall everything was tasty but the pleasurable experience ended there. Probably wont go back anytime soon
Been to the buffet 2 times before. We don’t eat meat so we went on Fridays just because they serve seafood on Fridays. This last visit was horrible would never go back again. Only seafood was baked selmon and we paid over $40 par person.
Hi there,
I just want to say that I am utterly disappointed in the food selection this year and the price was definitely not worth the food we had. My family and I come every year for Holiday dinners and we used to love it but this year was different our family had more complains then actually eating the food.
The food was way too salty, the selection of the food was not great (you guys used to have sashimi every year).
I usually do not write reviews because I simply do not care but I feel like I've eaten at River Rock for more than 10 yrs and instead of getting better, it gets worst every year. I am not here to put the buffet down or anything, I just hope you will take this review into consideration for the holiday buffets to come i the future.
Had a great time at the riverrock buffet....always great food and ambiance....will return in the future....great friendly staff....Thanks HCS
For the lunch price($28) including gratuities the food variety was ok. Very little seafood and meat. The place was clean service was fine.
Was much better 3 plus years ago, when it was held downstairs in the theatre, now it’s just a regular buffet with a fantastic magician and a warm & welcoming Santa.
The quality of this place has definitely gone down from the last time we were here.
The line up outside made it unclear for parties with reservations could proceed to the desk or to wait in line to be checked in.
The noise level was just astounding! We could barely hear each other from across the table.
The food choices were few and most were very salty. The prime rib was mostly over done or had stayed under the warmer for so long it had gone overdone. The replenishment of the sushi as well as the crab salad took too long and people milled about the area waiting causing traffic and delay.
Really, the only positive thing about this experience for me was the kind, courteous and friendly staff that assisted us from the time we arrived until we left. Our server also attended to our table quite frequently and that was much appreciated.
I’m not sure that I want to come back to this buffet after this experience.
Your host and waitress made our party very uncomfortable. We usually come regularly when we stay at the river rock. It was one our favourite place to dine but will not be coming back after your host and waitress made us very uncomfortable. Left everyone in the party pretty upset! This is such a shame - my wife and I have been coming here for over 10 years!
It was quite expensive - we were seniors and probably did not get our money’s worth.
Was not much of food collecting, and i felt a little sick afterwards.
Not worth it. Food was not good.
It was too expensive. Crab wasn’t fresh. Doesn’t look appetizing.
There is no something special about the buffet to make it to the value of the price. We rarely get a waiter's attention for coffee or water or drinks. It became like a regular food chain getting your own drinks from the corners. It does not look like a fine dining anymore. Nothing special to look forward to on your next visit.
The food are much better now compared to before...
Just noticed that there was no Artichoke salad :(
We booked a time online that did not exist in the restaurant (10:30 am) and were not told until 2 hours before the reservation. We had to wait 1 hour extra and then were charged twice as much for the later time. The manager was very helpful along with our server but the hostesses were rude and not understanding - they seemed to blame me for booking the wrong time. The website and Open Table need to be adjusted for this restaurant.
We were the one who are first in line before the restaurant open. The receptionist the guy was very rude, he keeps telling us that once we get in we just should only to stay for 1.5hrs and it was not even busy. We understand that there is limit stay but really the way he talked to us not very polite and doesn’t know how to Listen and understand well to the customers. They should put atleast english speaker in the receptionist and have customer service skills to talk to customers. My parents in law not pleased the way he talked to us.
When I arrived and paid for my table of 8. They charged over 15% gratitude without asking. It's a self service dining. Tip shouldn't be so high. Than they rushed us out saying they close at 10 when people still getting food. We just finishing our coffee and talking cause family member leaving back to australia.
The place had less than 10 table the whole night. Not worth the price at all. Variety of food not there. Quality of meat cuts not there.. best to go to the keg for same amount of food with better service. It was an embarrassing experience to treat people for dinner.
Excellent service from start to finish. Food selection has variety.
Awesome service, will come with families again, thanks.
For the amount of money $33/person. The service was not as expected. We had to pile our dishes on to the table beside us because they were not being collected fast enough. As well the selection of the food was not worthy of $33/person. The sushi selection wss limited to 2/3 varieties and the hot food selection was just basic..pasta, ribs, rice/noodles...nothing extraordinary for th price. We have gone to cheaper buffets that have had 2 rows of hot food selections including crab/lobster and our kids who are 13/14 were only charged for their age not full adult prices. Very disappointed
$33 per person is way too high for a Dinner Buffet on what they offer. Very little selection and only mediocre quality. Prime Rib was tough and Pork runs tough as well. Sushi very basic. I will not come here for dinner again.
Terrible service host at front was really rude demanding a tip her name was luvidia i believe
For $20 I have gone to buffets that offer wayyy more variety/options. Taste was alright, nothing too "wow".
Also, almost every single person got sick except for me --maybe it was the roast beef? Not sure but even the one who ate just salad with a little bit of meat got sick.
I really liked the two guys who charged us, the service and overall the atmosphere. The view I didnt like so much.
We love the buffet, very good vslue, Great place for a big group as well.
quality of food was terrible. Spent around $50 for food I can easily get for way cheaper. Definitely overhyped.
Food quality was very poor as was the selection. Buffet used to be much better. Huge decline of quality with increase of price. Many desserts were not good
Definitely not worth going.
The food has gone downhill since when it was open, and at that price point I'd rather be spending my money somewhere else. It's not worth the value of food, and the choices that you're getting. Even the salad bar was lacking. Roast beef didn't have any fixings other then mashed potatoes, and the seafood bar tasted like the fish was about to go bad. Don't waste your money.
Took the whole family there for a birthday celebration. There was something for everyone. The food wasn't of the highest quality but still better than what I generally make so who am I to complain? 9 people for dinner and everyone had a great tine.
No seafood, no sashimi. Never refill sashimi. Don't even has any salmon sushi. No ice cream for dessert
Great value for a breakfast buffet! Highly recommended, especially if you have small children.
The Japanese food section is missing. I am looking forward to see it back when I come back again.
We had our 25th Anniversary dinner with family and friends and it was wonderful. They even created a three tier Anniversary cake for us. Everything was perfect, the food, the staff and the private room. Will definitely be going there again.

I spent $350 to have nine people sit at the buffet - so far so good - but then we wanted my 30 year old nephew to experience just ten minutes inside a Canadian casino - but he was turned away because he didnt bring his ID - a 30 year old - ask yourself - would you want to return to this place in your lifetime ?
We celebrated my son's birthday here recently. The view is lovely from the dining room and good choice of dishes to please everyone. The location is so convenient and handy to public transit. We had a really memorable evening and will come back soon!
Hello,
Your guest service was good. The team was friendly and accommodating.
The food was below average. The salad bar was okay, other than a smell coming from the ham that smelt sour. The hot food was over cooked, none of the cook food tasted fresh. It tasted like left overs. The sushi was okay and the dessert bar was also okay. We have come several times over the years to the buffet and noticed a constant decline in the taste and presentation of the food. Being in the food industry, I would recommend to your Chefs to go back to local and fresh cooking. I do not want to be rude, but I really just want to give you my feedback and hopefully your Chefs will look at what they are serving. I would rather go to White Spot where I have better quality and fresh ingredients, and a lot less expensive.
Spending over 800. dollars and having a 100. gratuity added, was surely not worth the full dinning experience.
Birthday party. It was great, food was good except the prawns tasted frozen not fresh so a bit of a strange taste but overall it was fun
for a buffet, there was not a big selection of food. the theme was Thai and Pasta. but I did not see any thai food. all pasta was precooked and in a warmer. I felt like I was dinning in a school cafeteria
More food needed. Pls add more hot food and hot soups.
It was upsetting! They cancelled my reservation 30minutes before our dinner. We went crazy looking for restaurants for my son's birthday.
This is a very nice place for group lunch or dinner or just a family dinner. The dining room is nice and bright with a good view outside. Last Wednesday, we had a buffet lunch to celebrate a friend's retirement. The waiter was able to set up a plate of cakes with candle for the occasion. I came here several times in the last few weeks. Every time, I felt this place is so nice for all occasions so I organized the lunch for a group of l8. Food is good in general but I would like to see more variety at lunch. At lunch, I like their seafood congee, stir fry beef and deserts. Roast beef is good most of the time. My 1st serving was tough but the 2nd serving was good. Pawns was hard to peel (may be not as fresh?) I also like the weekend dinner with snow crab legs and the tender, juicy roast ham. Overall, I think the quality has improved over the last few years. Our friends were so impressed and requested for our get together again at River Rock Buffet (date TBD). We would come again on weekdays since there is no reservation for weekends. It would be hard for group to come if there is no guarantee of tables. It is hard to change venue if this restaurant is full on weekend when we come.
