   We had a great experience at Butcher & Barrel! We shared a short rib empanada, which had great flavor. We both had the chorizo clam chowder which is amazing! It is spicy and has substantial potato & clam chunks. My husband had the short rib & gnocchi dinner which is delicious. I had a side order of the gnocchi which just melts in your mouth! Great wine & drink choices and our server was attentive & friendly!

   Staff and ambiance were above excellent. The grilled romaine hearts caesar salad was the most delicious I've ever had. We ordered the Argentine experience for 4. Only liked half of it: the NY strip and skirt steak. The short ribs had no flavor or seasoning and too fatty to stomach. The sausages just weren't our thing-no comments. The accompanying sauces were great. Next time, we will order entrees from the menu instead.

   I’ve been to Butcher and Barrel twice, and both times, the manager had to come out and comp some of our order. I am no Karen, believe me. The first time, our loaf of bread was extremely moldy. So much so that I thought it was pesto-infused or something. Nope. Mold. Manager came out and comped our bread. Last night, I ordered a steak cooked medium and they had to send it back three times (they’d send it back, bring it back out and stand there while I cut in to it, then say “so sorry, let us try again.” I found MYSELF apologizing like, “you guys, never mind…it’s really ok. I’ll just eat these sides.” But they insisted. The steak did come out (finally) cooked to perfection and they took it off our check (and bought me a drink, which was very nice)…but I’d have rather just had it right from the start and paid for it. We will still go back, and I would recommend them, but man. Get it together you guys!

   Our server Ethan was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was top notch! I highly recommend the chorizo meatballs and the skirt steak with mushrooms. Chefs kiss! We will return!

   We had an excellent server and everything from the appetizers to dessert was wonderful. Our family always shares so I tasted all the entrees and it was exceptional. I highly recommend Butcher and Barrel. It was worth every dollar!!!!

   The environment is very casual and welcoming. There is a large selection from which to choose, including small dishes for people with lighter appetites, and there are more hearty choices. There is also a nice selection of alcoholic drinks. I prefer not having loud music playing but we were in a more remote area of the room and the music did not bother us. When we left, it appeared other diners liked the volume of the music. The service is very good and I love that many of the table seat 6 people!! I recommend this restaurant for its food and service. I'm also very comfortable with the casual atmosphere.

    It's very close to being a cool place. It's not sure if it wants to be a sports bar or a more sophisticated pub. I would lose the mirrors promoting various beers and the TVs (other than the one directly over the bar perhaps). Organize the framed photos better and add a bit more lighting so it's less dingy. The food we tried was very good but a few more options of lighter fare would have been nice.

    We did the experience for two. Overall, the food was good, service was good, and the ambiance is good. Only reason for 4* for the food was it was a bit saltier than I would prefer, but definitely good taste.

    The food and service were excellent. We tried each of the empanadas they were all excellent, but the chicken salsa verde was our favorite. The Argentine Parrillada Experience for 2 was great! We got to try a little of everything and will definitely be back. Next time we will save room for dessert…they have an apple pie empanada a la mode that sounded fantastic.

    First time for our group of 6. We all enjoyed the food. The filet mignon was quite good and the brussels tasty. The cheese and heirloom tomato appetizer was all cheese not much tomato. The 6 empanadas were delicious. My fish was cooked perfectly.

    Great service. Parrillada was a good value but kitchen was out of chorizo (we were first diners on Sunday) so subbed chicken. We ordered rare to medium and NY strip was well done. But server brought us free dessert to compensate. The skirt steak was delicious and so was the grilled Caesar salad. Good location, great option for Aronoff theater.

    Overall good food and atmosphere. Feedback for management, Get new barstools. What you have now is so uncomfortable to sit in for more than 15 min. We would have stayed longer and ordered more drinks, but the chairs were so uncomfortable, we wanted to leave sooner than later.

    As much as I would like to give a raving review....I just can't. This is the second visit where we have had issues with service and with the food. Our server was VERY slow. Slow to take orders, slow to fill up empty water glasses, slow to bring checks, slow to bring silverware after meals arrived. 4 of us ordered from the Restaurant Week menu. Our first and second course came out together. There was barely room on the table to put all the food dishes. I would have loved to have a clean plate to cut my Chorizo Meatballs, but there was no room. Chorizo Meatballs were fantastic! Cacci Pepe salad was inedible. It was so salty. I wanted to ask for a different salad, but our server wasn't to be found until he brought out the entrees. Steak Frites was ok. I ordered Medium Rare and it was much closer to med/well. But, the flavor was very good. I spoke to friends at the table next to us, they had a different server and didn't have any of the issues we did. Courses came out spaced well, water and drinks refilled quickly.

    Tried to seat us in the "back room". That room is fine for parties/events but not for dining. Plain cafeteria tables, cold and musty, no ambience at all. Sat at the bar instead which is fine B&B has one of the finer bars to eat at. However if he bartenders are busy, service will be slow as we experienced. The Food however was impeccable as it always is at B&B. Everything on the menu is a winner and flavorful. Will be back.
