This place is unbelievable!
We went for dinner then again for brunch the next morning. Everything we ate or drank was spectacular.
I can't recommend this place enough!

This has been our go to restaurant in the past year during this strange time. We usually dined in Toronto for special occasions. We have found in The Common Stove is excellent food, exceptional service and a great atmosphere in the safety of our own town.

Wonderful spot and we will be back! The cocktails were not to be missed either.

I’m was very impressed with absolutely everything at this restaurant (I have high standards and haven’t found anything I like in Orillia yet, until now!). Our server was exceptional, the food was beyond delicious, the ambiance and the way it was spaced out and decorated for the holidays, the comfortable seating, just everything made for a perfect dining experience, especially for 2 moms who never get to go out and enjoy a night for ourselves ;)

What a gem the Common Stove is! Never disappointed, always consistent in serving the most delicious and amazing food. The service is quick, staff are all amazing - friendly and with awesome attitudes. The little “Alley” outside is so cool and wonderfully inviting for those times you want to be outside. Great bar options. It’s our “go to” in Orillia!

Much like my first experience dining at the Common Stove, our food was outstanding. Perhaps the best steaks i've ever had in my life.
The fact that the owners help out and will come to your table is just next level!

We all had a wonderful evening. The 3 of us who has the ribeye all said it was the best steak we ever had . We could cut it with a fork and it melted in our mouth. I had a taste of the trout ( not a fan ) I will order next time . And the BRUSSEL SPROUTS . I can’t ever remember raving about sprouts. What I would do to get that recipe . I have already recommended the Common Stove to everyone I have talked to.

Only had appetizers but they were very good. Wasn’t in the mood for beef and that is most of main menu

Atmosphere was nice and service was attentive. Aside from 4 or 5 choices of steak there are limited other non vegetarian entrée options. So, hoping post COVID there is a fuller menu and we'll give it another try. Also, not comfortable with an entrée not including a veggie and a starch. You can order these but they are extra.

Fantastic food. Incredible service! Been twice and each time has been an incredible experience. Steaks are perfectly cooked, and the staff is fastastic. You'd be missing out if you don't eat here!

The Common Stove restaurant is Orillia's finest and serves the most delicious, well-prepared food north of Toronto.

Great dining experience. Good wine selection and large selection.

Fabulous dinner, great staff. I had the Ontario Trout with carrots, and shared the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All was seriously the best I’ve ever had :-)

Orillia needed a place like this, great all round , we will be back !!!!!

We had an amazing dinner out with my sister and brother-in-law celebrating their 40th anniversary!! Everything about our evening at The Common Stove was perfect - our meal was excellent, just the right amount of attention from our server, and that sticky toffee pudding is to die for!!
We’ll all be back for sure!!

The outdoor dining space will remind you of Europe, complete with cozy blankets and heaters to keep you warm while you enjoy your evening.

I went here for my Birthday dinner and felt like a queen. The food was so good and the service was amazing. The ambiance gave the whole evening a cozy classy vibe. Loved every minute of our outting!

I had the best rib eye steak I've ever had. My partner had the trout and liked it very much. James, our server was excellent. If you like BBQ, the Common Stove will be your culinary heaven.

We had a great meal. Lots of information from the server (Angela) and the host when we had a question. Angela was terrific and took great care of us.
I had the bone marrow and trout both delicious with extra attention and little touches that made the difference. My husband had steak tartar and filet, both met expectations, which are quite high for this meat eater guy!
We will return - can't wait to try the charcuterie board - and recommend this spot for a casual meal or special night out.

I will sing Angela's praises every time!!! We love her to bits and her professional service is incredible! We love everything on the menu and sitting outside was a dream!!!
My only criticism is to get real ketchup for the sauce lovers like me and add grilled bread to your charcuterie board-2 crackers is not enough.

Our dinner date for a wee jaunt into a COVID Green zone. What a fantastic modern concept. The food concept reminds me of The Woodlot from T.O.s Little Italy before they closed. Angela's service was expert and enjoyable. The bone in pork chop from the Wood fired grill came together amazingly with its pairing of pureed turnip and smoked cabbage. The sticky toffee pudding was elevated to an ethereal level with the addition of house-made Earl Gray ice cream and sponge toffee which was devoured the second it was put before us. Literally, the best I've ever had. Book a reservation now. Do it!
