The Courthouse Restaurant & Bar

We made the booking on 24th December and it was confirmed by miracle. We was so excited, when we arrive there the door was closed and it was so disappointing. We all know about covid and lockdown but I wonder how much time you need to send email to the customer and say we can't confirm your reservation. It is very sad and disturbing for all our family

Food was absolutely beautiful!! The steak was done to perfection, we both enjoyed our tasty starters too. Service was good, had to ask for the bill twice though, staff were friendly but not entirely attentive. The quality of food made up for it though! Nice place to eat, stylish decor & great drinks menu. Would recommend & we’d definitely come back.

The young girls that served us think called karis and Kelly was brillaint made us feel like the only table in there kept us served even tho the restrictions.

Everything was great about our experience at The Courthouse, other than other customers constantly walking around/to the toilets without wearing masks. An obvious disregard from some towards other customers!

Lovely lunch out with my family. The waitresses were so attentive and helpful. The food was amazing! I was recommended the loaded steak fries and they were insane! Will definitely be ordering them to my house over lockdown.

the menu had changed and was limited and the prices have been hiked up , had to order burgers mine was ok but my wifes was a load of slop with a overcooked chicken in. i have never heard her complain before to staff and all we got was a sorry and here is your bill

Food portions were a tad small for the price but tasted nice. The 2 for 1 cocktails were a bonus and the staff were very polite and friendly.

Was a little cold at the door and the music level in the background was a little loud at times but the food and service was outstanding ! One of the best steaks I’ve tried and the teriyaki chicken was amazing ! Great value.

I wouldn’t recommend for a special anniversary or something but for a casual meal definitely!

Ordered salt and pepper chicken wings, there was literally no seasoning on them. Just full of batter and salad.
My pepperoni pizza had 2 slices of pepperoni on top.
Apart from that the service was really quick due to there only being 2 other couples in at the same time.

We turned up for everything to be in darkness this should not of been allowed a waste of time and petrol

We had the 3 starters deal which was lovely. Large portions too. Aldo had pizza and garlic ciabatta and cheese which was lovely and fresh too. The steak and cheese baguette was absolutely delicious. Very clean and social distancing rules apply. Table service for drinks too.

This is a lovely restaraunt and bar , lovely decor , excellent service, great food and drink. The staff are fab and are very efficient. They have a one way system for social distancing and the tables are widespread. The cocktails are delicious and the cocktail trees are great value for money. Definately worth a visit and we will be returning. Thankyou Courthouse.

The seating was a little close together especially in this current climate, they sat us behind a pillar which wasn’t ideal because to get service you had a card which you needed to put on your table on the green side but no one could see us and didn’t check for 10 mins. Had to complain twice as it took 45 minutes for our cocktails after asking twice about them and they weren’t even nice unfortunately. We ended up getting a different waitress in the end.

As for the food it was extremely good and I can’t really fault it but the service is the reason I won’t be going back as it spoiled our night.

We pre booked for when the restaurant opened and were seated after a short wait. The waitress was likeable and explained all of the covid precautions fully before ordering. We chose two steak meals and cocktails. They were beautiful! Even though there was a delay with the food arriving due to getting busy very quickly, we were reassured throughout and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food is really lovely and well worth the money at full price. We will be returning!

Booked for lunch , Had a real warm welcome on arrival .
The food was amazing we had the salmon burger and fries and the lamb burger.
The service was superb considering how busy it was we didn't have to to wait, the staff were extremely professional polite and friendly , the restaurant is impeccably and i would highly recommend it for both food and drinks.

Food was amazing, fab time had! The cocktails were gorgeous and my friend said it was the best sticky toffee pudding she'd ever had.

TERRIBLE SERVICE ..... AVOID!!!
I purchased a groupon voucher for afternoon tea only to find that after booking and travelling to the venue they were no longer honouring the vouchers and were not serving afternoon teas.
They had no alternative in place and the fact I had paid in advance had absolutely no relevance to them.
I spoke to several members of staff but they were not at all helpful and had a very matter of fact attitude. They no longer served afternoon teas (even though the voucher is still available to purchase) and that was that!
I asked to speak to the manager but he shared the same appalling attitude and was more concerned about the percentage groupon take from each sale than offering a substitute. He began to lecture us on cost and profits informing us that it was not cost effective to honour the voucher or offer a substitute. His customer service skills were some what lacking and very disappointing. His main advice was for us to contact groupon for a refund.
No attempt was made to compensate us for making a special trip and being greatly disappointed.
When we expressed our disappointment and requested an alternative he was very reluctant to offer anything. After a painful wait while he was ifing and buting he basically offered us the eat out to help out discount.
We then decided to purchase a two steak offer rather than leave with absolutely nothing but when we tried to place our order he refused to give us the 50% discount on the steak offer and informed us that we would have to pay the full price stated on the menu.
At this point we decided to leave. As we got up to leave he followed us out of the restaurant continuing to lecture us of cost effectiveness.
I have been to the restaurant several times before but I will not be returning.
They are using a major site such as Groupon to advertise and drive custom to their restaurant with absolutely no intention to honour the voucher. This is false advertising and terrible service!
