This restaurant was highly recommended to us being new to Jacksonville. We typically visit Morton’s or Ruth Chris but decided to try this out. The restaurant was very nice great ambiance. However, our waiter was not as attentive as you think one would be when you’re paying $400 for dinner. We had to ask for bread and it took forever for our waiter to come and check on us and clean up between courses. Our lamb chops were slightly over cooked and Caesar salad was tasteless. We will not be returning!

Delicious and a fabulous atmosphere. Not somewhere we would go often due to the price, but it was awesome for a special occasion and will go back for sure.

Food and service, as always, were outstanding.

However we started our meal with a disappointment, that we would have to sit in the bar area not upstairs in the real dining room. Somehow when you spend 200 to 300 for a meal, it should be a dining experience not sitting n a bar area. Many high end restaurants give you a choice when making a reservation and we were disappointed.

Excellent staff and service. Both the Tuna and Beef tartar were fabulous, with the tuna in larger pieces and the meat version prepared along a caper oil. We shared a bottle of the 2010 Bodegas Ochoa Reserva together with the risotto, and that was heavenly.

WOW. Best steaks, best ambiance. Masculine, trendy, above average service. New favorite “fancy” place to eat by far!

Outstanding food and service. Know going into it that you will pay for it, but just sit back and enjoy.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! I never thought I’d say it, but it was better than Ruth’s Chris. The steaks were out of this world. We were very impressed with the cocktails, cornbread appetizer and the fabulous service.

Giovani Roman make this place what it is...... as manager he has made every experience here worth while.... if you are looking for great food priced reasonably with the best service imaginable then this is your place!!!

Half of our tables food was amazing and the other half subpar. Dirty plates sat on the table for at least15 minutes after we were finished. We waited a very long tone for drinks, multiple times. Our main server was great, but he didn’t seam to have the assistance he needed to provide the service expected at a high end establishment.

Wonderful service and delicious dinner! Only concern was that we couldn’t get a better time for dinner as if wasn’t available only to get to restaurant and find it completely empty.

We arrived early and enjoyed a few cocktails on the rooftop. The bartender was great managing the orders and still having a fun convo with us! His espresso martini version was so nice. Our table was in the first floor dining room. Such an incredible space. High ceilings. Beautiful restored old bank. Everything was great. Our server was polite and timely. We had the filet and the grouper. Both fantastic but the Austin Hope Granache stole the show! Great wine especially at its price. Next time in Jax we want to see the second floor dining area!

My sister and brother-in-law were in town from Iowa so we took them to Cowford because they are Midwestern farmers and they love a good steakhouse. Coincidentally, it was also my partner’s and my first time at Cowford, too. And we will be back, over and over again. Our experience was first-class the entire way. From the host stand to the back-waiters to the servers, everything was impeccable. Cowford is easily the classiest restaurant in Jax and we can’t wait to return.

We had appetizer, soup, main course, side vegetable and desert. All were excellent. Top 10 meals ever. Service while prompt was not well ordered. We received bread, appetizer and soup all at same time. We had been here previously and received a well ordered meal.

This was my first experience and I will be back! The service was impeccable. The food was extraordinary. The drinks were tasty. The atmosphere was perfect.

Another great dinner at Cowford. Wagyu steak/chicken/filet/porterhouse were all cooked perfect. Only suggestion would be to spread tables out more. We sat upstairs in a crowded area and downstairs didn't have many diners at all.

I tried the A-5 WAGYU and it was amazing. One of the best steaks I've ever eaten.

I did not care for the wood grilled lobster tail. The smokiness flavor was overwhelming and I could not eat it. I guess that will teach me to order seafood at a steakhouse. The other 3 people all liked their steaks.
