Chiswick dwellers know the Crown and Anchor as their stylish local on the High Street, but those from further afield will love the part industrial-chic, part Cape Cod interior along with the unfussy modern Euro menu. The Crown and Anchor with its tiled exterior and flower boxes has become a fixture on the Chiswick dining scene, and the interior is dressed up with warehouse-style pendant lamps, chi-chi candelabras, duck-egg blue walls and over-sized silver-framed mirrors. The kitchen is open-plan, and signature dishes include the slow-roasted pork belly with braised red cabbage, honey and a sweet chilli sauce; the mussels in a Tom Kha Thai sauce; and the char-grilled beef burger with red onion jam, cheddar, bacon and hand-cut chips.

The Crown & Anchor, Chiswick - went here last Saturday night where we had a lovely meal and a bottle of house red which was really good. There was a really nice atmosphere and we would definitely eat there again.

My husband and I visited Opium at Nottingham. We tried the all you can eat for £15 offer. The food was very nice, not to salty. The menu was varied and had lots of dishes on it that you could try and all were of a good size. The wine list was not too expensive starting at £13 onwards.The staff were helpful and pleasant ,the restaurant clean, the toilets fantastic. Really enjoyed the evening the only minus was the service charge on the bill, I like to tip myself and dont like to be forced.

The Crown and Anchor on Chiswick High Road is a delightful little gastropub with friendly staff and a hearty menu. Food was pretty good, (I had the fajitas) and I'd certainly go back there but I think next time I'll try to remember that it is still a gastropub, so I'll stick to the traditional pub food.

From the description on their website I had expected the food to be rather more adventurous than other restaurants but it wasn't. t was OK but not outstanding. Reasonable value with the TT 50% off food - would have been poor value without.

Another top notch meal at Opium Nottingham. Friendly service and excellent food. The try as much as yu like deal on a Friday is amaing value, and I can heartily recommend the tempura fish with prawn sauce. Satay lamb, lemon chicken and beef in black bean sauce all very good. Combined with a tasty platter of starters, this is too good to miss.

Lively pub..good for after work drinks. Good food - not a gastro experience, however is good for the usual pub food. Would visit again.

Went to Opium in Nottingham's Lace Market on Saturday and had a lovely meal. The bar downstairs was perfect to relax with a drink before-hand, while the restaurant upstairs was busy enough to have a good atmosphere but not to crammed to be claustrophobic. Highly recommended, especially with the deals available. I'd also recommend the crspy duck spring rolls for starter.
