The Culver Hotel

Outside area was pretty full. I’m sure my table was added. Even though we made a reservation we were told this was the only table available. Really the only downside was the service. Took too long for our server to take our order. If it wasn’t for the water guy we wouldn’t have had a drink for a good 20 min.

Great place to enjoy the food, music and the ambiance. However they have limited options for vegetarians food.

Dinner was exquisite. I love the ambiance. The staff, top notch.

The food was bland and not up to par, especially for the prices. The risotto was very under-cooked and not creamy; the patas bravas were dry and bland without enough aioli, the salmon was underwhelming and the octopus was so charred that it left a bitter flavor on the palate (although luckily not chewy).

Nice ambiance considering the times we are living. Inside is much better because it has that San Francisco beauty of hotels. The dining room inside is absolutely gorgeous.

The Brunch menu was not flavorful - although on paper it seems to be great - the ingredients were lackluster for the $20/meal price tag. I plan on going for Dinner to also evaluate. Personally, I would recommend it as a place to sit down and listen to music over cocktails.

Great outside dining and outstanding live music by Lyndsay and the All Nighters made it almost feel normal again.

The outdoor setting is spectacular behind the hotel. Chilly evening with heat units nicely spread throughout. The maitre de was incredible - set us up with a perfect table to have a romantic dinner. Didn't enforce the 90 minute rule with us, thankfully. The service was outstanding, food excellent, quick from order to table. Not inexpensive after adding a few cocktails - which were definitely not watered down. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the service, food, environment. Not a big fan of the musical performance on this day. Glad we were allowed some leeway on our 90 min time limit while we finished dining. Will be back.

Service was a little slow and there was a lot of fat in my taco. Drinks was excellent.

This was an incredible birthday brunch and the staff did an amazing job. The ambiance is amazing and as always the food was impeccable. Thank you to management and staff for being the best in town.

Service was great. Brunch Food was not good nor plentiful. The Lobster Avocado toast was disappointing - small piece of toast with two small lobster pieces for $24. Not a good value at all. My guest had chicken and waffles- chicken was very dry and hard,coated with lots of batter She did not enjoy. Will try the Happy Hour next time, perhaps appetizers may be better.

The outside dining area "Le Jardin" has been done very tastefully --- it's a garden/patio setting, and safe distancing between tables has been put in place. Very much enjoyed dining there.

And awesome place yo meet with friends. The food are great....service is absolutely the BEST. Live Jazz music was playing... super plus in a nice lazy morning. Book another brunch In 2 weeks. I live 25 miles away but this place is surely worth the drive.

This was my first time at the Culver Hotel and I expected a bit more from the reviews. First, the service was a strange. They seemed to have to many bussers and not enough waiters. The bussers were constantly walking back and forth to the point that it seemed a little intrusive, but the service still ended up being slow. The food was also a little strange and not at all impressive or worth the price. I've made better tasting risotto than the one I ordered. The salmon was also average and it looked like they threw some flowers on top to hide it. I would come back for drinks but not to eat.

We went for a special celebration and the entire staff was amazing, especially our server, Thomas. I had requested champagne to be placed on the table before we arrived and it was there waiting for us. The music was wonderful and it was a perfect festive atmosphere. We will be back again soon. Thank you for everything!

A real throwback in an airy atmosphere with live music in a early 20th century setting. Cultured and historic with a straightforward menu in a setting where gentlemen can be gentlemen and ladies can be ladies. Great cocktails, great service, great people watching...as long as you can look past the terrible GM/Host.

So glad they’re open again! The menu was delicious and the drinks were absolutely amazing. So perfect for a date night. Can’t wait to come back!

Decent atmosphere, good service, food not bad but could be better

We live down the street and decided to try their brunch menu. It’s a beautiful outdoor space with good food. We had salmon Benedict, lemon ricotta pancakes and huevos rancheros. The pancakes were amazingly fluffy and the rancheros so flavorful. There was a slight misunderstanding about who would assist us so we ended up having to flag someone after a long wait, but it was kindly remedied by some complementary drinks, which we so appreciated. It’s a hotel, so the food is a tad pricey, but I would definitely return for the beautiful space.

Stopped in for brunch this past Sunday. The food was excellent as were the mimosas. Love the ambience they have managed to create in the outdoor space here. We will return.

I went there for drinks with friends. The ambience is excellent. However, the drinks are abysmal. Every drink we ordered tasted as though it has been watered down to such a degree that there was almost no flavor aside from a faint sourness or faint bitterness. So bland. Culver Hotel please bring in a mixologist to correct your drink menu and train the bartenders! Your drinks used to be so good.

The service was excellent! The food was delicious and the ambience was relaxing and peaceful! I will be returning soon with many of my coworkers! I shared with all of the nurses and doctors I work with Le Jardin!

The food is very good. Our Server Nicholas Suggested the concept and it was fun to mix small plates among guests to make a meal. I wish they had a wine list. Wines were offered and explained, but I for one prefer a list to contemplate as I am selecting dishes.

Tables too close together

The expanded patio is very nice. The distance between tables is very comforting. The new chef is a treasure. Everything we had was good from the cocktails to dessert. The only only downside was having to wait 21 minutes to get our check and we only got it then because I went and found someone to make it happen. Which was really odd because the service up until then had been excellent.

Well I must say I was pleasantly surprised I honestly did not know what to expect considering all the covid regulations but the Culver Hotel pulled it off in a spectacular way. The live music was amazing and there was even a plexy glass to protect all their guest the servers all had mask and gloves which made me feel safe and comfortable; the service was amazing they really explained the menu in detail. Now to the drinks we had one of their signature cocktails the ruby sliper which was just amazing, the food was spectacular everything from the torched salmon belly to the foie gras torchon was incredible i couldn't stop eating. It's safe to say that I will definitely be back and be a full time regular at this historic location.
