The Curlew could not accommodate our table reservation through opentable.

Too many fly's in the restaurant to the point of annoyance. Booked as a special meal for my 60 birthday I was very disappointed having eaten in the curlew for many years.

Furniture is getting tired / no cushions / all needs a good clean and staff seem overstretched but good for a lunch at the price

Lovely place, friendly staff but a disappointed with the lamb shank as not much meat on the bone albeit maybe I was just unlucky. The flip side was the kids portions were ‘American’ sized which we equally felt was wrong since we wasted so much.

Otherwise it was fantastic as usual.

Myself, husband and grandson enjoyed our visit but two things.......firstly our grandson had mushy peas instead of the ordered garden peas and secondly........despite telling the waitress that we were in a hurry we had to wait half an hour after finishing mains before our dessert orders were taken and this was after trying consistently to attract the attention of the waitress. On coffee was ordered and arrived and drunk before the desserts arrived.....should be served after desserts or with!

Food really needs to come up in standards, there is a vegan menu, but its nothing exciting and very safe and does not change. They always seem to have a problem with their draft bitters too, either they don't have any on, or very limited choice, was excited to see London Pride arrive, but never actually managed to get 1 pint before it was gone again!

Had to sit a table of 8 over three tables because the OpenTable app doesn’t work with their system and didn’t have our booking.. take yourself off the app?

Excellent service and food, meal was also nice and hot when served. Waitress also made sure that vegan options were made available in order for the set menu offer to be taken advantage of.

Kelly the waitress was fab. Food was good, perhaps one of our steaks was a little small but still well cooked. As always, excellent food service and ambience.

Great new weekend menu. Service by Tom and rest of the team was exceptional.

We booked for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. Whenever we come from Oxford to visit my sister who lives in Christchurch we always have at least one meal in The Curlew and we always enjoy our meals.

We are regular visitors to The Curlew, given its proximity to home and work. Always find the food of a consistently high standard and the service is not only prompt, courteous and professional, but always highly entertaining! Great place.

We had a very nice evening with my friends. There was something for us all to eat. I am vegetarian and had the veggie burger. The service was very good. We did not have to wait long. My friends would like to go there again when they are next down.

From the moment we walked in to leaving we were made to feel very welcome by professional staff who were happy cheerful and engaged well with their customers. Waiting staff knew the menu and made recommendations if needed. From ordering to table was relativly quick. The food was well presented hot fresh and very tasty. The whole ambience of this establishment was spot on. Would recommend booking as usually busy. A great place for a great meal.

Food was perfection, pricey but you get what you pay for!

We were a party of seven four adults and three children. The children were very well treated and made very welcome. The menu offered a good choice both adult and children, and we all had a good meal all in all a good day I can recommend The Curlew.

Always guaranteed of having a hot meal worth waiting for. Excellent service and very tentative staff.

Mediocre food, lovely staff. Sunday afternoon get together with friends. Service was great and drinks fine. Roast beef okay but roast pork awful - it was more like cured gammon and an odd pink colour. Really all fairly standard pub food - not bad but not brilliant.

A great place to stop for a meal before flying out from Bournemouth airport. A chilled start to the holiday . Very attentive waiting staff varied menu.
