The Den Cape Cod
Great place if you're looking to get a drink and quick place to eat a basic lunch or dinner. Food and service weren't great but not the worst.
Mediocre experience! We had made reservations, but couldn't be accommodated inside. Seems like they're still getting into the swing of post summer COVID regulations.
Took a while to get our drinks, had to flag down server to pay.
The host/server was super friendly- but they were definitely understaffed. Burgers were good though!
Great spot for some apps and drinks with friends.
We loved our first dinner here. Two complaints #1 We really wanted to sit outside, we saw heating lamps, great, this will be our dinner place. When we sat down we were told neither of two or three worked. So we were cold, this should be certainly improved especially when COVID cases are increasing and people will seek outdoor seating more again. #2 We had really good view to the kitchen and the chef didnt have his face covered, he had sleeve on his neck but not on his face. It's a state regulation and you guys can get in trouble if we reported it (we wont do it!!).
Over all, delicious food, waitress was the best we had in months!
This was our second time within a week visiting The Den. The first time we went it was spectacular - the food, the drinks, the service, the ambiance, etc. This last time we went, my husband was served burnt pizza, it took about 15 minutes to get a drink, and the waiter ignored us for the majority of the time we were there. That being said, when he did tend to us, he was a pleasure. They did take the pizza off the bill for us, so we will def go back again sometime.
My only problem was that the staff was not wearing their masks over their noses , mostly wearing them just under their chin. Our waitress did but other staff members who handled our food did not. I would not go back for that reason.
Good was good, service was questionable as there were lost unruly guests taking the attention of waiter and management. Outside dining is in the parking lot
Amazing place! Great food and even better service! A+ We are definitely going to the Den again!
Great food and amazing service!
Great food and drink. Great service. Great outdoor seating and decor.
This was our second visit to the den. Must have new help. Had to send back one of our meals twice because it was not cooked properly. The second time it was the wrong one. Third time was much better. Drinks were a ok, but not the exact amounts of mixers. Will try a third time for dinner in a few weeks. Overall, a cute funky place to eat.
The best thing about our dining experience here was the service - Chris was very friendly, accommodating & did a great job timing out our courses. Our food, from the crab cakes, bacon wrapped scallops, a salmon dish, & pork tacos were just ok. We opted for outdoor dining & the "patio" was situated alongside a parking lot, had no decor/ambiance & had techno-beat music dominating the air space. With so many dining options in the area, we won't be rushing back to the den.
Great menu, very much appreciate that they take reservations. Server was very good. Kitchen was a little slow. But we enjoyed our experience and will be back!
Waiter Chris was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent
Chowder was very salty, truffle mash flatbread was good, fish, steak, and pork tacos were great. Thai chicken had no flavor. Good mojitos and cold draft beer. Good place for a beer and an app, not so much for an entree.
Everything was delicious we arrived when they just opened we were seated promptly and the server did an excellent job!
Amazing food! We were accommodated with two tables of six and we ordered just about everything on the menu! I can’t say a bad thing about the food we got. We ordered pork tacos fish tacos steak tips pizza scallops and bacon crab cakes and wings!
We will be back!
Staff was amazing, Food was incredible!! Will definitely go back when I’m down the cape.
Attractive, comfortable space with outdoor seating. Excellent food at moderate prices. My salmon with broccoli, green beans and bok choy on a bed of jasmine rice was delicious. Servers efficient and very pleasant. A hidden gem!
Service was good but the food was not impressive. Cute decor but overlooking a parking lot, where one car was parked with music blasting inside. Not a very pleasant background
Food was great and they had a fun menu. Outdoor seating area is awesome. We had the lounge couches and it was so comfy. Service was friendly and efficient. Lighting was great. Would love to go back!
Very under staffed and unorganized. Food was good and there is potential
My sister and I brought my Dad to the Den for Father's day and we had a great time! The food was amazing and the service, impeccable! Chris was our waiter and we we're extremely pleased with his professionalism! If you haven't eaten here, it is a must! Thanks to all for making our day perfect!
When we went on open table to look for a place, this place had all the time slots open. We both said it must be awful it since we’re at the Cape and need a place let’s try it out.
In one word “Awesome” from the staff to the amazing food, we were floored. The Ahi wantons are amazing...start with that and enjoy.
Our seating was outdoors due to Covid rules, overlooking the parking lot which isn't ideal but it's what's available if you want to dine out right now. Our server was very attentive, wore a mask although sometimes it didn't cover her nose. Food was great and hot. I noticed that tables and chairs were wiped down well after guests left.
Some patrons did not put their masks back on when they left their table either to go to the bathroom or to leave, not the restaurants fault but we thought it should be enforced for everyone's safety.
Overall, a very good experience for our first "night out" after 90 days of lock down.
Looks great, nice big bar, OK seating. But, the service was horrible, and when we spoke about our displeasure, politely, the response was that of an owner that did not care in the least. Such a disappointment. The night was saved by going to the Red Nun. Skip the Den, head to the Nun. (I have no affiliation with either place).
Surprisingly, the apps were good but not one person in the dining area! Our server was nice.
The food was delicious. The service was not good. Our waitress seemed very distracted even though there were only 3 tables. She forgot to even enter my sister in laws meal into the system (even though she wrote it down...) Didn't offer any compensation. By that point my sister didn't even want her meal because we would have had to wait at least 15 minutes for it to come out....Took forever to bring our check and she said "Sorry I was experimenting with drinks at the bar.." (Really??!) I'd go again just for the food (the most important part anyways!) because that was outstanding.
First time going there and was a bit tentative as it was not busy at all for a Friday night. Waitress seemed to be pre-occupied and not very attentive. Two out of three meals were not to the liking of my guests. For a place that advertises a good selection of craft beers a true beer lover would be disappointed.
Arrived with reservation on a Saturday night. The place wasn’t very busy, but soon picked up. Our waitress was new, but multitasked well! She was the only one basically handling both bar and dining hall from what we could see. She took our drink orders - they arrived promptly. Then our food order. That too arrived promptly. My husband’s burger was great and as ordered. My truffle mash pizza was delicious (mash potato, truffle oil, beef tenderloin & caramelized onion)! Yum! 😋 We topped off the night sharing a flourless chocolate cake! Perfect!
The Den Cape Cod was just the right amount of casual! Nothing fancy but very warm and inviting.
Great find the chef even sent over a small sample appetizer for each of us nice surprise can’t wait to go back
Great staff. Food was good but not outstanding. Nice jazz ensemble.
We decided to give this new Dennis Port restaurant a try for a Sunday lunch and we’re glad we did. They feature a “scratch menu” which means the dishes can be varied; an important feature for a vegetarian. Staff was friendly, service was excellent, and they have a decent wine list. We plan to go back for a dinner soon. Please go and support this little gem.
When the service is nearly perfect, followed by great drinks, appetizers and entrees it’s a crime to not five star a Resturant. The Den more then showed out, highly recommend the Portuguese Little Necks and any type of Pizza!
Great food... Pulled Pork Taco and NY Steak were both excellent.
Service was good. TJ too.
From what I gather, its a place in flux/change.
Recommend some better ambiance... but it seems they know.
Keep up good work. Will be back.
We had a little of most things they were all amazing and was very pleased. First we had the lobster arinchini balls and big rock oysters they were both excellent. Then we had Korean pulled pork tacos and asian beef skewers and they were both amazing. Another person in our group got the pilot house burger and it was. Very large and he commented probably one of the best burgers he has ever had. The Den has a real future as a spot for unique food items combined with traditional favorites
