The Dining Room - Park Hyatt Sydney
We were one of two parties in the restaurant due to corona virus as such, we expected a higher level of service and attentiveness.
I am clearly pregnant and had pre-requested a suitable alternative to some high tea menu options. I noted this with the waitress and she proceeded to ask if I wanted the champagne or classic high tea.
When the food arrived (it took some time) I was presented with quiche (cold and contained cold meat) as well as a sushi roll with cold chicken.
The tea is not refilled and the pot used is tiny ( 1 1/2 cups) which is quite poor given the cost of the classic high tea $68. For guests who had the champagne equivalent they were served a half flute of Veuve Rose which was flat.
Whilst the view is stunning, the service and food was below expectations.
Amazing view, meal and service! Would recommend to anyone interested in fine dining.
Delicious afternoon tea and impeccable service. A little overpriced but the food was excellent. Thank you.
Georga was quick attentive and great to deal with. Thank you for all your help on the night 👍🏻
It was a great night! Got looked after particularly well. Great setting, and great views out over Circular Quay. Wine list is a bit overwhelming, but I guess that is to be expected. Fortunately a good sommelier to help us through it.
70 for a very average steak... wasn’t overly impressed
It was nice with great service and location but the food with under par I felt. I could have cooked the same. Not bad but not exquisite
Certainly not worth the effort nor expense. Food bland and service non existent
The service was great, the waiter even asked what our plans were after and recommended a nice bar to us after dinner. They were very accomodating and polite. The view was amazing and the interior too. The food was also wonderful.
Quality food, extremely attentive service and wonderful ambience. But asking us to pay $8 a head for bread is scummy. Thumbs down for that.
Extra charges appeared on our bill.
When pointed out to waitress there was no apologies only excuses
The extremely loud noise in dining room was inappropriate and when we asked to move was made to feel that it was the staff's inconvenience. The only suggestion was to go into the casual bar.
A long black espresso was ordered, yet a filtered coffee arrived
Food great. Service so so. We were forgotten about for large portions of the lunch
We enjoyed a special Birthday lunch at the Park Hyatt The Rocks and were most impressed by the service and attention to detail.
Just off a very long flight and looking to unwind over a great dinner with a good bottle of wine - this ticked all the boxes; friendly staff, excellent fish, very knowledgeable sommelier, very relaxed.
We order fish for main but it wasn't a pleasure to eat was cold and chew, we left the fish and refer to waiters and management and the sill charge as for it..
The service and views were remarkable!
We dined at The Dining Room to celebrate my husbands birthday - we had an absolutely stunning table looking out at the Opera House. The service from the staff was supreme, and the food was incredible, the bartender made us outstanding cocktails and made this special night even more so! We would definitely recommend and look forward to returning next time we are in Sydney!!
It was our anniversary celebration lunch. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and classy. When we arrived, they put us at a very nice table by the window. The view of the opera house and activities on the Sydney harbor is unbelievable from where we sat. They food and the wine were both fantastic. After lunch, they presented us a piece of chocolate cake with a "happy anniversary" banner. I wanted to go back the next day, but our schedule didn't allow it. I highly recommend this place. Lunch set menu is not very expensive. we both ordered the 2 course set menu. I had two glasses of wine, i believe it was around 150 Australian dollars, so approximately 100 USD

The service was first rate, attentive, but no overly. Celebrated a birthday and they kindly provided a small cake with a candle. Nice unexpected touches make all the difference. Exceeding expectations is what sets apart a venue like this.
Great service from all staff. Great surprise from kitchen when celebrating our special occasion.
We really like the special attention we got for our anniversary.
The service was very good and the food as well
Awesome as always! Missed the window seat but everything else was perfect! Thank you team
Went for afternoons tea on a visit with my son and daughter in law. The staff were very professional but friendly, and the level of attention was just right. Lovely spot with a view out to the harbour. The menu was very modern and used different mixes of foods and flavours to excellent effect. My only niggle was that we went for the champagne option, but when it was poured we only got half a glass which at the price of an extra $20 we thought was a bit mean.
Overall I remain a big fan of this place, I think it’s at least as good as some others close by who get more accolades. That said, I was hoping for the old chefs choice menu(not the deg) that used to be provided, or the 3 courses for $X dollars that used to be (maybe that’s just lunch). Still a very nice place for date night, and that view is epic... but just felt a little under previous visits...
I've dined at The Dining Room on quite a few occassions now, but unfortunately my last visit wasn't quite on par with my previous experiences. There were minor variations made to the dishes which we were not made aware of at the time of placing our order. Service staff was friendly but rather inattentive at times - on a couple of occassions it took some time to gauge their attention despite the fact that it was not a busy night. This having said, we had a lovely time at The Dining Room; we enjoyed our meal and the ambiance of the restaurant.
A third visit to The Dining Room to celebrate a significant occasion and it was outstanding as always.

My travel partner and I made reservations several months ago for this dinner experience. It was to celebrate the final day of two weeks of vacation in Australia. We thought this would be a great place and in fact it was so amazingly wonderful. The food was incredible we did the chef‘s tasting menu and the wine expert was outstanding. The sharing of service was flawless. It turned out to be one of the greatest dining experiences of my life. The view was in fact perfect as well.
The view from the dining room of the iconic opera house and harbour was exceptional.
Sadly the food did not complement the setting; it was uninteresting and mediocre in presentation. We had much much better dining experiences on Celebrity and Holland America cruise ships.
The quality of the food was just acceptable for the venue and price. However the presentation was so ordinary and lacklustre. The baby snapper I ordered was a very ordinary fillet, which was a little dry; while the chocolate tart and pavlova desserts were presented as just that, with no attempt to visually excite the palate. I sincerely feel I can do better, even though I am not a trained chef.
The food presentations really need to invoke a little “wow”.
We have been coming to celebrate our wedding anniversaries for at least the last four to five years but unfortunately feel that we will not come again for the above reasons. For the record the menus in the past had not been particularly interesting either, but we were drawn by the location. Sadly not anymore.
The Sydney Park Hyatt is my favourite city restaurant, and has been for quite some time. The view from The Dining Room has spectacular Sydney Harbour and Opera House views. The restaurant provides a relaxed dining experience, whilst providing professional and attentive service to their customers. The food is always of a high quality and presentation is great. The menu is moderately priced for a fine dining experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family, and who I am constantly inviting to join me.
Overall a very enjoyable experience. Food was great and the views stunning!
My only concerns was that the air conditioning could of been a little cooler and there was a little wait when ordering a drink.
Fantastic service and the best High tea I had.
Savoury and sweet all very delicate and delicious . Great view and ambience
We went for lunch and we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary we were given a great table by the window and a special celebration dessert. All Hyatt's have a fabulous reputation but this is exemplary thankyou.
Beautiful setting and nice food but extremely disappointing service
Wonderful service and food. Very accommodating and was a wonderful afternoon.
Outstanding food, service and venue. Can’t wait to go back again!!
Anniversary lunch that was set in a beautiful setting with excellent food and service and to top it off an Anniversary desert was brought to the table. Thank you.
Disappointing at every level except the view.
Food average. Expensive. Service poor.
Lamb backstrap very salty.
Sirloin excellent, cooked to order without seasoning
I would definitely come back for a really nice dinner out. it was lovely that you gave my friend a little treat for her bday as well. My only comment would be that the GF bread i was served was just the usual supermarket one and had not been toasted which made it impossible to spread butter on. Plus the butter was not soft.
Other than that small thing, the evening was really lovely and our waiter Alessandro was fabulous :)
Beautiful view of Opera House relaxing ambiance well decorated thoughtful menu
