We had a great time. Food was good as was the service.
Very accommodating for our party of 10 which included 2 - 2 y/o. I called and moved the reservation forward without issue. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I felt the bill was very reasonable.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner! Highly recommend eating dinner here!
Service horrible. Food wasn’t worth the money. Were very slow at restocking food. A lot was empty for a long time.
Nice overall but expected better because of the wonderful company that owns this place. Would have been great dinner if the food was HOT! Being a buffet, the serving pans should have been covered or even have those half lids! Only issue was the warm food, not hot.
They were very good and I did not feel rushed at all. The chocolate moose almost had me missing the other desserts were lovely. And very nice to spend time with my father !!! with it's outdoor door right from the so: The Dock on Wallenpaupack HAD MANY INTERESTING ROOMS/PLACES TO VISIT.
I had a Caesar salad . There were brown spots on the lettuce but tasted good. I had stuffed shrimp and they were tasty, but the risotto served with it was not good. It wasn’t creamy just all stuck together. The cauliflower was almost raw and had no flavor whatsoever. I have had better dishes there previously, so was disappointed.
When we arrived on a Sunday at 6 pm, there was only one other table occupied. The four of us ordered cocktails, which came more than 10 min later. They were good but expensive. I then had lobster bisque, which was also good. The entrees were BAD. My special was chicken breast with champagne cream sauce. The worst chicken I have ever had at a restaurant. The chicken was so dry that it must have been cooked hours ago. Two persons had the scallop entre. There were 3 scallops on a small bed of spinach. They tasted ok but for $18, they should have been an appetizer. We asked for mixed vegetables but they ran out, which is odd considering the fact that we were the only patrons present for over an hour. One of us ordered a glass of pinot noir which was ice-cold. I asked whether any of the red wines were available at room temperature. The answer was none. The service was also bad. Literally none of the plates or glasses were removed after they were finished.
On 11/13/21 My wife and I went to the Dock for diner.
There was a birthday party with a lot of people going on in the next room and
between the party and the volume of people in the dining room they were terribly short staffed.
We both ordered the lobster bisque bowl as there was no choice for a cup.
My wife had salmon at $24 and I had the 16oz sirloin at $34.
We both shared a large Caesar Salad at $14.
There was no bread put out for our dinner.
Every restaurant Iv'e ever eaten at has always had bread at dinner.
The "lobster" bisque at $9 per was in a cup not a bowl and had no lobster at all just specks of something seemed like tiny crab bits.
There was no Lobster on the menu just crab cakes, so I believe that the specks were
I told the waitress about it, and she said "oh really!" Thats all.
We had one drink each and one dessert each.
The 2 cups of coffee came out in paper cups luke warm and I asked the waitress
to please bring us out hot coffee.
The waitress brought out two more cups of coffee in regular cups
that was still luke warm.
The total bill was $173.00
I did leave a tip for her.
The Dock was great, wonderful service and great food.
As always, our latest dinner at the Dock was excellent! I had the NY strip steak which was cooked perfectly and it was served with a garlic butter which added to the flavor. My wife had the popcorn shrimp which she really enjoyed! We’ll be back again soon!
Great meal and great service. My favorite restaurant in Lake Wallenpaupack!
Husband ordered coconut shrimp and it was so over-fried that you could barely tell there was shrimp
Inside the batter. My fish of the day was over cooked- very dry.
Food and drinks were delicious! My recommendation would be for the servers to know the dishes better. I work in hospitality, and it's an important part for services.
Made reservations at 7:15 didn't get seated until 8:20. The waitress was great and very nice even though I was very cranky. The food was ok. The outside area was warm and cozy with a fireplace and heaters. But I would have gone anywhere else if I knew I would have to wait that long.
The restaurant was quite cold when we arrived, but it did warm up when they put the heat on. I think the prices here are a bit high, but the views are wonderful from every seat in the main dining room. I have been coming to my parents house on the lake for 40 years and The Dock has the best views of any restaurant in the area. Excellent lobster bisque!
Good was delicious and staff were very nice and accommodating !
Lights kept going out so food was slow to come and when appetizers came we were not given plates. Food was mediocre.
Good service and wine was terrific!
We were disappointed to find that only a few tables could see the water. The host was very indifferent to all the small parties that saw a table close to the water, but were not seated there. The table he said was reserved never saw a party. The food was good, but nothing special. Our servers were very nice and attentive.
Table for 6 .. food slides off the table because of the extensions being put up. Todd was expensive for what you got not worth it. Also waitresses hair not back and tied .. daughter had hair in her burger.
Great food, outdoor eating space is comfortable and cozy
Worst experience of my life.
-We were celebrating our anniversary and made reservations for the outside dining area. At first they lied to us and said they were clearing the table, then they ignored us for 20 minutes and finally admitted they didnt have a table for us. They overbooked so we had to sit inside.
-before you go, ask if they have a wedding happening during your visit. The DJ was so loud it was impossible to focus on anything or even consider having a conversation. They should not serve dinner to regular customers while they have a wedding happening.
- chicken was overcooked and dry, it was obvious they dumped extra cream sauce on the chicken to hide how bad it was.
Stay away from this place…..
For foodies, food was about a 5 out of 10. The chicken of the champagne chicken was tough as leather. Needed to be marinated or slow cooked to be palatable… and way too pricey for what we got. The fried fish basket was OK, but no delicate flaked cod. The shrimp appetizer was raw in the middle. Not cooked properly. Obviously, still frozen when it went in the oil. More thought and care needs to go into BOH. As for the FOH, only one heater had propane in the outside seating, and we were a bit chilly. The best part of the meal was the cocktails. They were creative and delicious.
Food and service was good but my table was broken and shaky very annoying took away from the experience
Beautiful view, delicious food, great service and ambiance! These NY’ers will be back !
Very helpful server. Good food but a bit pricy. Nice variety of menu options. Pretty views of lake.
Server was good...... table had a serious wobble, requested to move was told tables were reserved (as was ours) and was told the manager would tuck napkins under to stop it from rocking...... that did not happen. Food was good, a bit pricey
Great view from the outside patio, nice ambience while eating at sunset. The food was very good.
The restaurant is lovely and clean, a beautiful view of the lake. The staff are wonderful- excellent host , who seated us and our waitress, Catherine was absolutely the best!!
She was very attentive, helpful and extremely pleasant- we will definitely request her next time we go.
Excellent food and service...as usual. When we are in the area we always dine and stay at one of Settlers Hospitality fabulous locations. Always constant and wonderful. Highly recommend.
visited Sun 9/26/21. Server was the best and that was pretty much the thing that made dinner almost acceptable. Calamari appetizer was obviously taken out of a frozen food bag. My steak was good but way overpriced. Presentation of food on plate was uninspired. room itself had no ambiance. Then at end of night we asked for check. We were told systems were down and we had to pay cash . Manager/owner was obviously afraid to come out and explain, so put burden on waitress. We worked out deal with waitress to pay bill.
Nothing place. Pretty view, ugly interior, lousy food.
The food was so delicious, especially the crabcakes. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Place is nice and clean and great views of the lake.
Very bad overall experience. Only visited twice this year and for the 2nd time in a row, when we set down at an outdoor table, it was very wobbly and extremely unstable. The first time we were able to somewhat stabilize with many napkins. In this case it was so bad nothing worked. When we asked the waitress to move us she started that all the tables where like that and everyone complains. After hearing this we walked out. What a terribly managed business! We will never go there again.
It was our 29th wedding anniversary and we recently moved to the Poconos and wanted a casual place with a view of the lake I found this restaurant online. The food was delicious and our waitress was wonderful! The staff was very friendly. I asked for outdoor seating because I thought we would have a view of the lake but there was no view of the lake from outside unless you are sitting closer to the back. Seating inside along the windows would have provided a better view.
Great service and food/drinks. The deck is terrific to sit on with perfect summer weather.
Disappointing. Prices are high for average food. Nothing is included. No bread, salad is extra. Only two desserts offered. There are other similarly priced restaurants that provide better food and service.
Waitress was friendly and had a great sense of humor.
Food was glorious, waitstaff was so-so. Views were amazing.
