Excellent all round - great food and great service

Enjoyed the experience..we sat inside but the outside part looked very xmassy and cosy with heaters.
Food was brilliantly presented and tasted very good.

Fantastic food and service as ever. This is our favourite local pub and we have visited many times and will continue to do so. The standard of the food is equivalent to a very high quality restaurant and yet the price is great value. The staff really make the place welcoming and it’s nice to see the same staff at each visit. Highly recommend.

As always, the Snipe was fantastic. Brilliant food. We ate out with friends in the 'garden' and it was perfect.

But what makes the Drumming Snipe a star is the staff> Maddie and her team are absolutely brilliant...can't do enough to make your visit perfect.

We were scheduled to return for our anniversary in January (but Tier 3 Lockdown may make that difficult.) Regardless, this is our favourite pub in Surrey and we'll always be back.

Was very disappointed with the Menu and food was luke warm. Restaurant was cold where we were sitting. This was a lunch for My Mums Birthday and My Daughters 21st and wish I hadn't booked it. Would not go there again

There was a good and different choice on the menu. The Drumming Snipe is an excellent place to eat. Fine dining and something this area really needed. We all chose something different. I chose Celeriac soup followed by Cauliflower steak and Sticky Toffee Pudding with Mince ice cream.
Highly recommended.

We had a very nice lunch with friends they had not been to the drumming snipe. They said that the food was the best they had tasted in a while

Excellent, as always. The set price 3 course menu for £19 is very good quality and very good value. Our socially-distanced meal outside in the tent was warm thanks to very effective heaters.

Most wonderful experience. Absolutely delicious Sunday roast. Food and service exceptional, the staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough for my husband and I. They have certainly set their restaurant and outside dining up to comply with the rules. They have done really well. I won’t hesitate to go back time and time again.

As we said to our waiter at the time none of the roast dinner on any of our plates was piping hot. Really it was little more than tepid. It was difficult to raise it at the time as we were with my elderly mum (in our bubble) who would have found a complaint a stressful situation and we didn’t want to upset her. Additionally we didn’t really fancy having a meal warmed in the microwave which is what we imagined would have happened.

Overall a very satisfying experience to eat at the Drumming Snipe. The menu is very interesting with none of the usual (boring) pub fare here. Not sure I know what all of it is, but it’s really great to see a chef willing to step out of the norm and make an effort to be inventive.

The welcome was genuine and staff all seemed happy to help. Very little choice for non alcoholic drinks (except for usual fruit juice etc) but they did offer to make a mocktail which was ok, but given the effort on the menu front I think they could maybe offer a better selection of non alcoholic drinks, given what’s out on the market these days.

I went straight in, no starter for the Irish potato cake, which was delicious! Looked good, was well balanced and the flavours blended together brilliantly - I couldn’t stop eating it! And, it wasn’t seasoned to death with a handful of salt that seems to be the norm in pubs these days - well done chef.

The only complaint I can make is that the food was Luke warm (one piece of broccoli was fully cold). Now, had it been usual pub grub I deffo would have returned it. However, it just didn’t matter. Once I took that first bite I didn’t want to stop and wait to sort it out. It made no difference to my enjoyment of the food whatsoever. Strange but true. But, I had to knock a star off for that as I’m sure it would have been even better hot and, well it just should be hot really!

Dark choc delice for pudding was scrummy, but I wouldn’t call it dark choc, nor very chocolatey either in fact. Would have ordered it anyway, so didn’t really matter.

Value for money? Food was significantly better than any other local pubs I’ve been in recently, but over £75 for 2 people, 2 courses each with only 1 pint cider, a mocktail and tap water.... seems pricey to me but then I guess you do need to pay a bit more for something a bit better. I don’t begrudge it as the meal was great, just won’t be going back too regularly.

Wonderful decor and dining experience. Attentive staff all very covid conscious. Felt very safe eating here. Food menu was interesting and contemporary. Our dinner was excellent and the wine was also very good. Wine selection is quite pricey but luckily it was a special occasion. We will be back.

I don't know how many times I've been there and never been disappointed. All the food is amazing. I'll be back for sure.

This was our second visit. The staff are lovely and very attentive. The food is well cooked and varied. It will definitely become a regular for us. Recommend!

Lovely pub with excellent food. Went for lunch and although quiet due to current restrictions it was great.

On the front door on each side, you have a Green King placard, We booked the table because we had an AA card providing a 20% discount when I phone I was told that was correct, upon payment the AA card was rejected and we were told it was not Green King.
There was little choice of food, all overpriced for what was served.

Had an early Christmas lunch with mum food was fantastic and the service and warm welcome lovely.
When they heard we were having our Christmas as due to COVID we cannot be together on the 25 th they brought us some crackers what a nice thought.
We can recommend the plaice ,scallops and river test trout highly.

My third trip to The Drumming Snipe.
The Sunday Lunch is great. I recommend the King scallops, roast beef and especially the sticky toffee pudding.
Oh and the beer shin croquettes!

Fantastic beef roast, potato's to die for, and a lovely Merlot too.

Food and service were excellent as ever. Noisy table next to us kept this from being 5 stars. Waiter was lovely asking them to keep the noise down but they were clearly out for the day!!

Fantastic food. Great quality and good portion sizes. Not too big and not too small. On the expensive side of reasonable but by no means overpriced. Lovely ambience and very well presented. Staff attentive and personable. One of our favourite places locally now!

Fantastic food, great atmosphere and wonderful service

We had such a lovely meal. This place is way above the rest locally. Our meals were absolutely delicious! Our bill was higher than we would normally pay so it’s a special occasion type restaurant but I could not fault the food or staff at all. Well worth the premium!

Exceptional food and service again and this is why we keep coming back.

We loved this restaurant. So much more than a local pub. In the summer we went for Sunday lunch with our children. It’s was fantastic if a little too much food. This time we went on our own for dinner. Loved it. I want to support this restaurant and make sure it sticks around, despite the horrible year, as it’s just what we need in the area. It’s a little too expensive to go all the time but is a lovely treat.

This was our first visit to the Drumming Snipe. My partner and I had a lovely time and felt very safe regarding the Covid environment. Everything was handled accordingly and all staff were adhering very well.

I thought the service was impeccable and we both voiced this to each other, mine was also a last minute booking and we managed to get seated comfortably. It really is worth 5 stars+. The food was amazing, we both had a burger as we wanted something we both would like, but when we come back (and we will!), I will be venturing out for something different on the delicious menu!

On arrival at The Drumming Snipe, the co-vid procedures to keep people safe were good, tables with plenty of space between, the service was attentive without being to much, the menu is a bit different from the normal offerings at many eateries, but something for everyone, food arrived fairly quickly and was very good as was the bottle of wine, would recommend and will be back with friends to try out the outdoor eating area which looked really good

This was our 3rd visit, but on this occasion the sun wasn't shining and it was very cold inside. The radiators were only luke warm and the open fire wasn't lit, which would have made all the difference.
