We have been to elm tree inn a few times. And food and environment never fails. Food is always 20/10 never fails. We went sunday and services was quiet slow but all the staff was lovely. And they wasnt busy we was the only table at one point but we had to ask to order our food they didn't come round automatically, same with desserts. Only half our desserts come out not the kids but they did give us the kids free when we told them. Overall I would definitely continue coming yo elm tree inn.

Food was good, but high In price. Also for the price you would expect sauces to be in dish’s or small pot in potions not plastic sachet Service was a little slow, but staff very helpful and lovely.

The service really let this experience down. We had booked a table for 4 for sunday lunch, my partner and I arrived first so we got a drink at the bar. I ordered a gin and tonic and when it was given to me my partner asked for a slice to go in it- this was met with the waitress actually rolling her eyes in front of us before proceeding to cut a lemon and pick up the slice with her fingers and literally drop it into my drink. The poor service continued when we waited nearly 40 minutes for our mains (we didn't order starters). After our mains we asked for dessert menus and after waiting another 30 minutes we still hadn't been given them so gave up and asked for the bill instead. The same waitress from the bar told us she could bring us the bill to our table but we'd need to pay at the bar to which we said fine so she repeated about whether we wanted a copy of the bill at the table, when we said yes she rolled her eyes yet again in front of all of us!

we came for a family meal 17.30 on the 22/08, a party of 7, all in all very nice meal, (there could however been slight more options), staff & service brilliant, pub very nice, my only negative comment is that at no point did someone ask if there where allergies, as it turns out 2 of the party have, 1 is nut & the other strawberries, which my wife was able to remove from my dessert. Apart from that very nice.
