The Fat Lamb
Excellent dinner. High quality food.
Not much to choice from. No lettuce for hamburger or onions. The pasta I had was not worth the money.
I'm sorry that you think we didn't have enough to choose from. We have duck, lamb, beef, chicken, salmon, seabass, shrimp, pasta, and vegetarian dishes on our menu and that's just entrees. Our menu is online. I'm also sorry that you feel your pasta "wasn't worth the money". I'm 100% certain you couldn't buy the ingredients we use to make it to do it at home. We use local mushrooms, local spinach, imported italian cheese, etc. Also, our burger is exactly how I want it to be.
The food was outstanding and different from other places. Lamb meatballs, baked goat cheese appetizers were on point. The lamp chop entry was outstanding. came with couscous - some of the best we have ever had. Dessert was a blonde brownie with ice cream, just a great finishing touch. had the specialty margarita which was outstanding.
Every meal is amazing and this was no exception. We love that Dallas takes safety so seriously and the food is sooooooooo wonderful.
Food was excellent, waitress was a bit pushy. We wanted to sit, relax, drink wine, and chat. We were asked several times if we were ready to order after we politely stated we were fine and not ready. I think the restaurant looked clean. I like the open kitchen. I don’t love the plants and fake shrubs. I think it makes the atmosphere appear messy. Overall, we would return. The food was absolutely delicious.
First time there and will be going back. Food and service was excellent. Highly recommend the duck breast and shrimp and lamb risotto
Great experience and excellent food.
Food and service was outstanding!
The Fat Lamb never fails to please. Especially notable, in these times when restaurants are having trouble getting staff, the experience, the attention to detail and the excellent service stand out.
Consistently great - we are "regulars" - food, drinks and service are always on point. Highly recommend.
Our first time at the Fat Lamb last week and we were seated right by the door so every time the door opened we got a big gust of wind at our table. Our server was attentive and friendly, but the bar was extremely slow so it took some time to get our drinks. Our second round of drinks finally came when we just about finished our meals.
We ordered several appetizers, but the baked goat cheese and pita was by far the star of the show. So good! The kimchi arancini was our second favorite of the apps we tried.
We ordered the duck and the sea bass which were both disappointing to say the least. The duck was undercooked. So much so that the layer of fat under the skin made it almost impossible to cut. It was honestly inedible.
The sea bass had a very strong fish odor to it which made it obvious that it was not fresh. Also inedible. In addition to the strong fish smell, the broccolini was so over seasoned with salt they were also inedible.
The server was kind enough to take the duck off our our check but not the sea bass. We were also told that the chef was unable to come over to our table because he was too busy. We didn't ask for him to come to our table, but we thought it was strange that our server mentioned this to us.
Needless to say this dining experience was extremely disappointing for us and we probably won't return.
Food is outstanding and the service was exceptional! Not a huge restaurant so reservations are recommended. Loved it and will definitely be back!
Another great meal at The Fat Lamb! I shall start by saying with a smile that each time I write a review of this restaurant I worry that it will become "popular" and I won't be able to get a reservation. But then I realize that the owner, chef and staff are all trying to make a living, and are doing a wonderful job, so I write another five star review, which they deserve. My wife and I had yet another highly enjoyable meal at The Fat Lamb this past weekend. We first ordered a bottle of Twomey Merlot, a very good wine not usually available in Louisville. Feeling frivolous, we ordered the truffle fries as our appetizer. Pure carbo loading, but they arrived hot, well seasoned, and delicious. For my entree, I had the special - shrimp and lamb sausage on a bed of risotto. Delicious! My wife enjoyed the Sea Bass, served over whipped potatoes, with garlic broccoli. We then split a Giant Cream Puff for our dessert - light & flavorful. Our server was attentive and prompt. The bill was very reasonable. If you're looking for a locally owned restaurant with very good food, this is the place.
Overall this place was very okay. The food was delicious but definitely overpriced for what it was. I could have lived with that if the service was any better, the waitress was very friendly but not very attentive and a little slow(which is common due to labor shortage) I would never recommend or discourage anyone to try this restaurant.
Great food and cocktails. Had an amazing bartender (we sat & ate at the bar) named David and the hostess Lindsey was fun and made it an awesome time. This place is now a must for us every time we come to town! You won’t be disappointed with their food, drinks or customer service!
We were visiting Louisville this weekend and had dinner at The Fat Lamb. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. My husband and I shared the Greek salad and lamb gnocchi and it was so good!
Food was great! Had a good time. Will visit again.
Food and service was great! Love this place.
Food. Great. Server (Allie) great.
Absolutely incredible experience. My wife had the duck breast. She has eaten many incredible meals around the world, and felt that this meal was one of her best. I had the veal chop. It was cooked perfectly and all of the food was served hot.
Do not miss the Nutella mousse. I would not have given it a thought had It not been for our server. It was incredible.
The food was amazing. We had the chop and ricotta gnocchi, both were prepared perfectly. Service was excellent!
Great lamb meatballs and the chops met my expectations. Canolli were outstanding… yet a bit overpriced
We love this place, the food is so creative and good. It’s pricey, but on the food side, worth it. The bourbon prices are some of the highest we have seen in Louisville for the same brand, and the pour is certainly not generous. Noise level is high. Neither of those concerns will keep us from returning however.
I ordered a cheese burger, bun was stale, food was cold. French fries was oreida.
AMAZING! The service was fantastic! Our server Allie was perfect! The food was some of the best I’ve ever had! Definitely coming back!!
From drinks to appetizers and main meals, all delicious. Generous fish portion cooked just right.
GREAT as always. We are regulars - FL never disappoints. Best Margarita and best cheeseburger in town in my opinion. But everything is very good including service.
We felt a little rushed but food was great. This was our third time and we will be back.
Our waitress was absolutely awesome! We loved the food and will be going back again and again. Great place for dining.
This was a return trip with friends to whom we introduced the restaurant to.
Everyone enjoyed their meal!
Good food. Duck was great. Enjoyed the visit
Fantastic lunch! Best cheeseburgers in town!
Incredible food . We had a late lunch, almost at closing time . Arugula salad was a wonderful combination of flavors that worked so well together between peppery greens and feta cheese crumbles and complimented by buttery pistachios in a balsamic vinaigrette base . Tasted very healthy abs refreshing . For an entree, we ordered duck . Perfectly cooked on a base of mashed potatoes with young broccoli side that was just perfectly cooked to remain crisp. Great combination of flavors . Chocolate hazelnut mousse with dark chocolate shavings and cherry sausage was incredible . It was so rich that My husband and I split it. Decor is modern and clean , and service was attentive and perfect . All in all , incredibly satisfying lunch .
Great selection of wines and spirits.
The staff was awesome and I don’t think our food could of come out faster or better.
One of our favorites
Service was extremely slow. Realize they didn’t have many servers so it want servers fault but they just need more people to work
Delicious and inventive food and a really superlative staff. Our party had the chicken, the black bean falafel, the duck and the salmon. We were all extremely happy with our meals. Wonderful seasoning and presentation for each one. We also had the hummus appetizer which was a big hit. Congratulations, The Fat Lamb on your awesome place.
We had the goat cheese dip which was outstanding. For dinner the duck and lamb ragu, also amazing. The Fat Lamb never disappoints!
Our group was small (3) and we were going out to eat prior to the World Championship Horse Show. That dictated we eat early and leave early in order to get to the show at the KY Expo Center, park, walk in and get to our seats. They accommodated this easily. The food was good, beautifully presented and the service was timely. They did everything we needed.
