Our meals were very tasty. The portion size was perfect. Service was impeccable. I would recommend the Florentine to everyone. I definately plan on eating there again soon.

Staff was rude and condescending. I asked to switch tables and was met with the condescending attitude of the staff telling me I should be happy with the table that was given to me and that I am beginning to sound ungrateful. I thought this manner of speaking to me was completely unnecessary and wrong. It seemed everything was a problem--by the end I couldn't wait to get out of there. Totally unpleasant and the staff did an excellent job at making my girlfriend and me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

We were looking for someplace to go on a Sunday early evening downtown. Very few venues were open at the time. We were happy to find Florentine's in the Marriott Hotel on Adams. There were very few people there. We enjoyed the salmon and ice cream. The service was spot on.

The Brussel Sprout Salad was a little bland and the sausage pasta dish was a little salty. Cocktails were generous . Ambience ok .

Very inattentive waiter. At the heart of the lunch rush—perhaps they were understaffed? Another staff member resolved the issue quickly, but then we also had issues getting our check in a timely manner. Food was great, as usual, though.

My meal was extremely salty and not very good.

We were seated with no menus. Waiter took more than 20 mins to come to our table and introduce himself and get our drinks. waiter kept disappearing.

Valentines Day

The Florentine is the best Italian restaurant in the Loop. It’s perfect for business lunches, romantic dinners and everyday dining. The service is outstanding.

Great spot for lunch and business meetings. I'd rate the restaurant 5 stars except when you check-in they will not seat you until your entire party has arrived. Seems unnecessary for a place with a big business lunch crowd.

We went on Xmas- reservation at 2 pm. We were a little disappointed that the full menu was not available. Instead it was the brunch menu until 4 pm. This left little non- brunch choices. Although the food was terrific- my husband had a hamburger. Not special for Xmas and we would have preferred a larger choice. Service is wonderful.

Honestly a hidden gem. Fantastic food and beautiful view! Don’t be turned off by it being a hotel restaurant!

The Branzino was excellent, well worth the price! Would dine here again.

Horrible. We arrived at our reservation time at 5:30. We ordered apps and dinner at 5:45. Our apps came out about 30 minutes later. But...By 7:45 we still had not received our food! 2 hours!

We finally had to leave for an even we had, without dinner. It never came!

I had been to The Florentine before Goodman Theatre, but it was always on a Saturday evening. This visit was on a Thursday evening, and what a difference in noise levels. The noise, primarily from the after work bar crowd was so loud, we could not carry on a normal table conversation. The meal was quite good. I do wish the filet was not served on a bed of mashed potatoes. Next time I order it, I will request the kitchen to substitue a green such as the broccolini. Service was personable and the pastas were delicious.

Our server was very personable and was always ahead of our needs. The food was very good. I recommend this restaurant.

The food was amazing. Try the squash rings. I was skeptical but they were amazing. If you are going on a night the pre-theater menu is available, it offers an amazing bargain. The food was amazing and the service was even better. Highly recommend.

We stopped in at Florentine before going to the theater. The prefix menu is outstanding! Three sumptuous courses all served fairly quickly with the idea of getting you in and out in plenty of time to make it to the show. I enjoyed the Caesar salad, the beef fillet (+ $10) and ice cream for dessert. My daughter enjoyed the same salad, the Scottish salmon which was outstanding and mango sorbet for dessert. Both of us were in gastronomic heaven! Keep doing what you do at the Florentine.

My daughter and I wanted a non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner and we had a delicious meal at Florentine. The waitstaff were very attentive and the atmosphere was quiet and elegant.

Food is typically excellent. But this visit food was really over salted. It won’t stop me from going back again, as this seemed like maybe just a one-off.
