The Fox and Hounds is a gastro pub and restaurant, nestling in the heart of the beautiful village of Whittlebury, South Northamptonshire. We’re just a stone’s throw from the home of motor sport – Silverstone – and close to the market towns of Towcester, Brackley and Buckingham.

Inside, the team have created a comfortable and welcoming environment, perfect for you to relax, socialise, eat and unwind. Open to the whole family.

Our Head Chef has created a menu for all tastes and occasions. From a light bite or traditional pub food in the bar, to modern brasserie dishes served in one of our dining rooms, we cater for every occasion.

The Pub is basic at best and is in need of a decorative overhaul including taps on the wc sinks that were barely attached. The whitebait starter was frozen breaded fish not Gastro quality. The Sunday roast was lovely eventually we must have waited for 30mins. The blackberry claufoutis tasted like soggy yorkshire pudding.

We have been here before and had a lovely meal but sadly this was not the case this time. The food was overcooked (my onion bhajis tasted and looked burnt or they had been over fried). I had the pasta for a main and lots of the pasta was stuck together again like it had been reheated or sat around for a while. A 10% service charge had been added on for our table of 4 and it cost £150 with no desserts. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be going back.
