Amazing food, drinks and service was perfect and quick

We were so happy to enjoy our dinner at the Gage even under Covid19 restrictions. Our server was very friendly and efficient. Food amazing, as always.

The food was amazing, the restaurant was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend it to everyone.

Nothing is better than the welcoming atmosphere and amazing menu than the Gage. More than ever, when few of us are dining out as often, the Gage is the right choice for a special evening.

All the dishes we ordered came out great. Friendly staff.

The Gage never disappoints. Great job at extending the outdoor season with their rented area shared with Acanto. Appreciate that we could choose some of the best items from both restaurants. Perfect day for the burger and beer.

The waiter wasnt friendly. he was very cold .. but the food was good, and the bus boy and host were a really nice persons.

The Gage was great as usual. It is the perfect spot to visit with friends right before and after the holidays. Our food was delicious as usual. This time I got to take home some cinnamon rolls, and I consider that a Christmas gift.

Our server: Wes was very personable and knowledgeable of the menu. It was always available when we needed him and he was patient for my party members who were undecided. We sat outdoors in the tent setup and it still felt like we were part of the bustle of Michigan Ave. sans any noise or disturbances. The Gage easily became a return visit promise for the newcomers I brought along.

Visited for brunch but that menu didn’t have any gluten free options so we ordered off the lunch section of the menu. Food was very tasty and the service just right, our wait person took care of us but was not intrusive. Dined in the heated outside section which was nice and warm when we arrived though we started to get a little chilly towards the end of our meal.

Loved the set up for the outdoor seating. It was nice and warm and COVID friendly.

Perfect post engagement dinner!

Came here December 2020 after dinner for a couple drinks. Drinks were okay. Service was good. Due to COVID, it was outdoor seating and the heat lamps were a plus. We were required to order food with our drinks, so we ordered desert; keep this in mind when planning to come here. Overall, good experience and will be back.

The Gage is doing a fantastic job with outdoor (COVID) dining. They have plenty of heaters, and though it was in the 30's, we weren't cold at all. Our waiter was prompt, friendly, efficient. And our food was served piping hot, which helps in winter temperatures.

Best place to eat across from Millennium Park...such good food and they need our support!

dined outdoors along Michigan ave, the use of a privacy hedge and plenty of patio heaters kept the whole experience positive and enjoyable. The efforts of Mgt and the service team were exemplary. The Gage is a quality run establishment who followed all safety protocols

The Gage has a great outdoor patio with lots of warming towers. A great place for a delightful meal or a couple of drinks — or both. Awesome Millennium Park views, too.

One of the best venison burgers I have had - with a bit of spice. The service was very attentive. The weather was nice and they had a nice outdoor seating area along Michigan Ave.

I am a long time fan of The Gage. It was great to enjoy lunch outside on a glorious day in Chicago. As always, the food and service were terrific.

We really like the Gage and live nearby. However, the service on our most recent visit was extremely rushed to the point of being asked if we wanted dessert while my husband was still eating his entree. We felt that was bad form and didn’t enjoy the rushed vibe on a pricier meal.

Always great food and service. They have outside seating for the pandemic. Tables were well spaced and sanitized before seating. Nicely landscaped seating area with lots of heaters. Scanned menu or paper option. I had the roasted chicken Coq au vin style. Just delicious! It was the nicest way to celebrate fall and forget ( for a moment) all the craziness.
