Always good for breakfast, service is efficient without being rushed

The Grounds of the City is one of my favourite places to go. The food is always great as are the cocktails.

Triage style service. Staff very nice but undermanned.

I had booked a table and informed of such when I arrived, for a blind date. My date was told I hadn’t arrived and seated at a different table. Little unorganised from my perspective.

Worst experience we have ever had. The waiter was extremely rude and snobby. I have celiac disease and ordered eggs on toast with gluten free bread. And was given sourdough. WHICH STILL CONTAINS GLUTEN.

and my husband ordered eggs on toast on rye bread, and received 1 slice of plain rye toast and butter. When we told the waiter who took our order it was wrong he said “I didn’t hear you order eggs on toast to my husband” what type of customer service is that. What happend to repeating the order back to the customers to check it’s correct. Especially if in my case I can get VERY sick from having a tiny bit of gluten. I have never been so disappointed in a venue before I was so excited to come and came all the way from kellyville to come to your cafe. I will be telling everyone I know to NEVER visit you guys ever.

Requires more vegan/vegetarian options, often is too expensive

A lovely place to have brunch with friends. Good food served promptly but did have to ask a waitress to take our coffee order.

A very nice space with good coffee. Lunch food was okay, nothing too crazy. Price was fair, with good service from the waitstaff.

I do not think Covid guidelines per square metre were being observed. - tables were too close!

Love this place but service was terrible. COVID is not an excuse to be rude.

Won’t be coming back

We enjoyed lunch here on Saturday. Staff were super attentive and friendly. We had the steak sandwich, butterflied prawns, broccolini and snow pea salad. All was yummy and fresh. Would highly recommend!

First time and will definitely be back
Great decor and ambience. Good food choices an£ excellent service however it doesn't come cheap and therefore a special occasion or treat rathe4 than everyday location

The Menu variety is quite restricted. Can we have more options? Also the sand witch bread was also burnt. It could be better

Had a great meal and service was good! Even left a tip which I don’t normally do!

The service, ambience and decor very nice and we had a very nice meal.

It was expensive for a kids meal and three burgers, however with city rents this is the normal now days.

Would I go back? Yes, but not in a hurry.

Slow service. We ordered toast without butter, but we got oily toast. It took a long time for them to get dry toast back. We had to keep trying to get attention from staff if we needed anything.

Perfect place for a date with your partner or friends. The inside is very pretty and cosy

Was great ambience. Service could have been better

It was sufficient overall. Nothing special, I think the price comes from the interior design.

We came here for my Dad’s birthday lunch. Staff were extra helpful when working with us to coordinate a surprise cake for him. They also went above and beyond singing Happy Birthday, he didn’t expect it at all and was touched! Great place, great staff and great food.

Staff very friendly and polite. Interesting style and decor. Could do with a couple more menu options - no vegan and vegetarian extremely limited. Overall a pleasant lunch.

It has a traditional 20s style feel to it, it's unique to Sydney. Can be quite loud at times, difficult to have a conversation.

Great experience. Wouldn't be somewhere I would go regularly. Food was acceptable. Noise level was extreme !

Had lunch, was disappointed at 1 of the pasta, was not cooked through (ordered 2), the steak was chewy and was not good value at that price. Not enough staff on the floor. Experience was not as expected, and it was a weekday. My last and first experience was a lot different.

Steak sandy is full of bread not enough sliced meat over priced to me for what I got

Food a little overrated although service was attentive

The aesthetics were wonderful and the customer service was brilliant! Both the main course and desserts were delicious, though they were a little pricey. It is a great environment and it seems like a welcoming place. Thank you for your services. :)

The greeter was quite rude and disinterested, but the wait staff were good. It was loud (not 'energetic'!), and the squid rings, which we all ordered, were chewy. This is my third visit, but I won't recommend or return.

If you like an eclectic decor, efficient service & good food then book now x
(Only small thing is that when busy it is a tad noisy for small talk!)

The gent at the door was very helpful as we encountered some reservation issues, and the service by the team was wonderful. Missed out on chiffon cake though :(

Service was really really poor. Had to ask fro water 3 times. I had also asked the hostess to NOT let my friend pay for the meal. The Hostess went to inform the section waiter, and the next thing I know, my meal was paid for by my friend. What was the purpose of giving instructions, if they are not going to be followed through or get executed properly.

They sold out off Pastrimi at 930 am, which was pretty disappointing as it was still an early time for service, considering they open their doors at 8am?

There was no dessert menu, so was suggested to walk out the door to the cake section, and have a look at it ourselves. How was that for service?

I thought I could show my friend how good the place was, but was really disappointed and embarrassed to my friend at the end.

I would definitely not go back, and would not recommend this place.

Such beautiful decor at this cafe, delicious coffee and cakes however unfortunately the service is sub par.. it is difficult to get a hold of your table attendant for water refills, extra menu ordering etc. This dampened the overall experience.
