The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.

We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

The Hawthorn is always very busy which gives a clue to its food and looks Menu bit shorter than once but understandable Peter was very helpful with food intolerances & assorted likes & dislikes & food was adjusted successfully to these. Service was quite slow but again understandable due to the number of dinners ( got through a bottle of wine so didn’t matter too much) All in all a very good evening

We ate here for Sunday lunch for my friends birthday and I can honestly say it was perfect! The staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The pub itself was lovely very cute and traditional, with fairy lights on the beams, really pretty. The food was delicious- we had booked well in advance as had struggled to get in previously due to it’s popularity but it was definitely worth the wait. I had the roast lamb, and it was beautifully tender with amazing flavour, plenty of vegetables and I can honestly say the best cauliflower cheese I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend a visit, but you definitely need to book and it was 100% worth the wait for our booking - 5⭐️

Amazing food!! Had the chicken chasseur and pork loin. Both dishes were delicious!!! Very tasty. Compliments to the amazing chef !! Chicken was tender and moist, just like chicken should taste. Pork was beautiful. The flavours were lovely. The veg was perfect. All in all a lovely experience. Highly recommend! Not the cheapest but the best in Haworth.

An outstanding restaurant that we very highly recommend! The restaurant is relaxing, comfortable and extremely well furnished. The food is always superbly cooked and great value. The staff are friendly, efficient and always attentive and helpful.

Wonderful 3 course meal! So delicious. Can not wait to return 👏🏼 Cosy atmosphere. Not rushed at all.

Hawthorn had good reviews which is why we chose to dine there. The starter of merguez sausages could have been better described as well, I was not expecting a dish of 6 sausages and a small dip. Then, unfortunately the steak I ordered was fatty and there was a lot of gristle. It was supposed to come with a salad, this consisted of a small pickled onion, pickled gherkins and sun dried tomatoes on a few lettuce leaves. I don't like pickles and would have declined had I known what their idea of a salad was. The pepper sauce was also a bit thin. Service was not smooth with delays between serving my main and my wife's and then further delays before receiving the vegetables. The setting was beautiful and had a good ambience.

We had our anniversary meal here, we received a card and a drink to congratulate us, which was a lovely touch. The food was incredible as always and we always enjoy the ambience and setting of the restaurant. The host was incredibly amenable and friendly but the waitresses were a little short with us. Perhaps it was just an off day but it wasn’t the super friendly service we usually have. We’ll be back and would always recommend!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Hawthorn. The staff are very friendly and looked after us with a smile. The food was delicious, the desserts were lovely. We did feel that the meal lacked any decent amount of gravy, it was more like a drop of jus and so we felt that we needed to add extra gravy at a cost of £2 per portion. The music could have done with being a bit quieter and more like slower background music rather than loud 'pop' music. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and would recommend a visit.

Excellent service , the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I can recommend the mackerel pate and the chicken supreme with the mash and peppercorn sauce.
