   First time visit .Ate from the A La Carte menu , food was really tasty and well presented. Service was excellent and waiter friendly and helpful . Will definitely be coming back for more.

    Service was a little slow at first but once our order was taken the service was good. Food was lovely and the portions were huge. Great value on the special menu.

    Prices are now quite high compared to other places. The meat portion for the pork was also pretty dire. Again, the service continues to be below par.

    Overall positive experience. Food was great, and service was quick, but we ordered a dessert that never arrived which was disappointing considering we were one of only two tables in the restaurant. It was really quiet for a Friday evening so I fear that the staff may struggle to keep up when it’s busy. We would give it another try but I wouldn’t have super high expectations for anything above average.

    If we go to the Utilita Arena we always book in the restaurant for food and drinks. A beautiful restaurant and staff always fabulous. Food was great but soft drinks very expensive, draught beer was lovely and not that much more expensive than a coke which is hard if you have kids with you! Overall though it’s a great place and we will continue to visit.

    The food and the setting were excellent. The service was excellent though it felt a little slow. A large part of that was that the system was not updated to reduce the expected numbers even though I had found. Also a requested spoon was never brought. Having said that the food quality was excellent. My guests said they would happily return, as would I. The Yorkshire puddings were perfect, the veg was excellent and the meat was beautifully tender. The children's menu, provision of a high chair, and the colouring sheet and crayons were very much appreciated. Very good value for money.

    The staff are so lovely here very nice service and positive. Made sure we were well looked after and request for a little note on my friends cake plate for her birthday Staff are a credit to the hudson..food was very tasty and just the right amount will definitely be coming back with more friends.

    The burgers and chips were greasy but this was made up by great service. Amazed that the bar did not have any blended scotch whisky !!!

    Food was great good value for money the only down side was the service we had to keep re asking for silly things like salt and pepper very young waiting staff that just seemed to want to stand and chat with each other

    Awful. The seats were stained and ripped. The food was very poor. My mother couldnt eat any of her meal. It was cold and stale. They didnt charge for that meal and offered to take off the service charge which is automatically added. But a really bad experience. Every other meal in Newcastle that week was superb. But that was a waste of an evening.

    We dined on a busy Saturday lunchtime. The service was very good ,considering there were a couple of large groups. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We had a very enjoyable afternoon, and we look forward to returning .

    Ordered a Cheddar Burger and Vegetarian Burger plus a portion of onion rings. All items were clearly shop bought, certainly not made from scratch. The rustic fries were frozen chips, the burgers were tasteless. On the plus side, the service staff were friendly. I would have usually left them a tip but didn’t because of the 10% Discretionary Service Charge. Definitely wouldn’t return.

    Originally went in to enquire if any tables were available. We're told none until after 8.30. We sat down for a drink in the bar and checked the open table app and found a table for 6.15. Went into restaurant couple of empty tables which was surprising since we were told there was no availability. We were seated and I spoke with a lovely waiter called Thomas who when I asked regarding the booking, explained to us sometimes this happens with open table. We were apologised to and 10 minutes later moved to a more comfortable booth style table. We were given a complimentary round of drinks but still have no idea why we were moved tables as no one else was seated at our original table. Restaurant week menu good selection and great price. The food was outstanding and not too long of a wait despite it being busy. Can't fault the food at all! Thank you to Thomas who's customer service was exceptionally good.

    Overall an excellent evening out, staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. Food choice was a little limited but was great value for money as well as being delicious. Only glitch was the waiter spilling a dink on our table but it was dealt with quickly and the price of a round of drinks was deducted from the bill in compensation.

    Nice restaurant, good atmosphere. Food ok, good value due to restaurant month promotion (2 courses £15), probably priced about right (not worth more). Very poor service even though loads of staff! Had to wait for table, got our order wrong, never once asked if we wanted another drink (had to go to bar ourselves), gave up waiting for bill after asking and paid on way out. Shame.

    I booked the bottomless brunch on the Saturday 21st Jan which my fiancé had, he asked for a different but was told he had to stick to his original choice - Every other place we have been to for bottomless brunch, we could change drink choice.

    Wow what absolutely amazing food we had last night for my partners birthday! Considering it was restaurant week and cheap as chips the quality of the food was to die for! We will definitely be coming back! We even got a nice little surprise for my partner’s birthday!
