We had a delicious meal. Servers were very friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent. I gave 4 stars for the food simply because I don’t personally use much salt anymore, so I felt items were a bit over salted.
Love the pit in restaurant - as it provided a cozy and aromatic !
Server was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. The music was fun but did not overwhelm our conversing. My seasonal omelette was delicious. Be sure to try the fingerling potatoes at brunch if you go- umami sauce was yummy!
Good food but pretty noisy. Service was somewhat slow.
Food was outstanding, but the wait staff was terrible. Even the cooks seemed annoyed by them. She never checked on us to see if we needed more drinks, water or to see how we were doing. Ran out of water but she never stopped by for us to ask for more. This is similar to the experience we had at brunch here recently.
Will return soon so we can try more menu items. We had the advacado spread appetizer and marinated chicken and skirt steak for entrees with carrots and Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes all delicious!!
Have tried the restaurant twice- and same experience every time.
Long wait time for cocktails- drank pitcher of water before drinks came, and super hot inside due to open grill.

Great place for a date night. The skirt steak paired well with a glass a Cabernet and the mashed potatoes. I’d recommend the avocado toast for a starter.
Yes, I suppose I'd recommend them for a visit, but I would advise my friends to take a close look at the menu. The food offerings on the Ash menu are not for everyone's taste buds. I wasn't a big fan of the food, mostly because I'm not much of a meat eater anymore.
My husband and I were really impressed by the flavors of Ash. We’ll be back for sure!
I love the vibe at Ash. The open hearth and flamenco music was fabulous. There was a great wine selection and plenty of options for a group with varying taste buds. Our server was extremely knowledgable and helpful. I will be back!
This is not a typical hotel restaurant at. The food was absolutely delicious, service was great (thank you Inga) and the ambience was perfect. Try the Brussel sprouts, you will not be disappointed. Out of five of us no one had a bad thing to say. It was a perfect choice for a business dinner!
Everything was delicious! Ask for Sawyer, he provided exceptional service with great recommendations and was very attentive to all of our needs. Will definitely be back!

Entrees were amazing, but the rest of the food was very average including the appetizers and sides. Mushrooms were very dry and overcooked.
I was absolutely blown away by the food, ambience, and overall experience. The combination of the grill and open flame cooking 15 feet away with an acoustic set of classic rock in the other room only made the head-on shrimp and potato fingerlings taste better. The food was truly phenomonal.
We dined at Ash for Valentine’s Day. It was our first time there - the ambiance was great, the food was good (I will note they were out of two bottles of wine but it was Valentine’s Day). Our server, CJ, definitely made the evening. She was super friendly and helpful with the menu! Definitely recommend for a great date night!

Craft cocktails were outstanding, but the food was too salty! I do not mean a slight preference too salty, but my husband and I almost thought it was a joke. Everything was over salted to an extreme. Both of us ate about 1/3 of our meal and requested the check. I let the waitress know and she didn’t seem very surprised by the complaint. She did comp the food and we paid for the drinks.

When we arrived, the table that I reserved was still busy so they offered to seat us in the lobby. We agreed as long as the wait staff didn't forget about us out there. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened. We felt our waitress forgot we were out there for stretches of the night. The food was great as always but the service this time left much to be desired.

I thought for the price of the mains it was a tad too high for what you get. The sides and apps were all tasty and worth the splurge. The duck @ $70 was not what we hoped it to be. Fry bread was fantastic!
Shannon was exceptional as our server. Avocado was a great starter. Get the brussel sprouts and au gratin. Once cream sandwich is amazing too.
Ash has the potential to be great. Unfortunately, we hit it on a busy Saturday night. The restaurant was loud. The service was ok. The waitress was simply over extended. The main courses were all delicious. Perhaps a note to the kitchen to NOT cut the pork chop for presentation, as all the juices ran out. Leaving it whole would have retained its moistness. The sides fell short. Two potato dishes were under cooked as was a side of cauliflower. An attempt was made to remedy the under cooked dishes but they too fell short. The potatoes and cauliflower were just not ready for serving.

Great ambience, service was excellent. Food was...decent. Simple salt seasoning a bit too simple.
While flavors were great, Ash was too heavy-handed with oils/butter. Slightly disappointed that everything was drenched in oil regardless of what they were.
Very good with clever dishes. Chicken and waffles was very good. Grits meal was quite tasty as well. Would like to try the rabbit dish next time, and perhaps the smoked trout toast. Cool environment, will be back!

One of the best new restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. Nice open dining area yet, it felt warm and cozy. The open kitchen produced a great smoky wood smell through the area. Kit our waiter was wonderful. Gave great suggestions on the wine as well as our entrées. Food was outstanding for all 4 of us. Haven’t had an overall great experience like this very long time! Congratulations everyone at Ash...you’re doing it right!
Wonderful food. The Peking duck a must try. Room a kittle noisy, but it’s all part of the scene. Only slight negative was a less than helpful waitstaff
Excellent food. The Spaetzle starter was amazing. They need more classic salads though. Waitress did not tell us our meat didn’t come with vegetables or starch, and needed to be ordered separate. I’d definitely go again though.
This was our second time at Ash, and we loved every minute of it. First, we were seated by the hearth/open fire, which would have been quite warm, but on the cold winter night was quite welcoming. Our server has the best memory and remembered us from opening weekend, order and all! So impressed. We shared the beet tartare, the grilled avocado, the Brussel sprouts, the scallops and the Bavette steak. The beet tartare was wonderful. It is definitely our new favorite way to have tartare. Grilled avocado should be the new thing. Seriously. Try it. Our entrees - the scallops (4 large ones seared perfectly) and the steak - were great compliments to each other and the smokey flavor from the open fire was definitely memorable. The only criticism we have is that the plating of the steak was pretty underwhelming. Finally, the brussel sprouts were charred to perfection. This was a perfect meal and we will definitely be back.
Wow! Ash at The Iron Horse is pretty great. So great that I glanced up at one point to see San Antonio Spurs’ coach Gregg Popovich eyeing the menu. Have the Short Ribs for Two, Gregg! I’ve just added it to my Death Row Meal. (In other words, the short ribs are so tender, I’d DEFINITELY have it as my last meal.) In any case, this place is awesome. Ask for the high top in front of the fire. Dinner and a show! 👏🏼♥️🍽
The food was tasty but it was lacking a bit. For instance, crab dip was available but no crackers or any type of bread was available. Smoked salmon was available, but no lemon slices. Only dressings available for salad were ranch and blue cheese (both cream based). For $55 a person, even kids who don’t partake in bottomless mimosas, it was lacking that extra 10% that would’ve made it 40% better.
8 of us went to Ash for New Years Day brunch. Food was delicious. We loved the unlimited mimosas and Bloody Mary bar. The only suggestion that I would have is to put omelet station away from the buffet because it held up the whole line. It would also be better to have more than one person cooking the omelets because the man was overworked but he made incredible omelets. We would all go again for brunch. Loved it!
We had New Years Day brunch buffet at Ash. The food was delicious, our server very helpful (unusual yet welcome in a buffet setting), and the music/ambiance just right. My only suggestion is to some re-engineer the layout so that the line moves faster, and/or people can get what they want without poking through the line (I.e, stuck in the omelet line just trying to get to the waffles).
This was an awesome New Years Day Buffet where we were allowed to grab food and drink at our own lesuire instead of having a server. It was a perfect way to kick off 2020 and would go again. Because the mimosas' were included, this was a great set deal!
