Staff were excellent! Food was fine but steak could have been better.

A meal at The Ivy never disappoints- great service, food and ambiance. Probably even nicer now with less tables as you can also now hear the conversation!

Horrendous experience. Also seemed to have abandoned covid restrictions to allow people from the same household into the restaurant to hold work-related celebrations

Enjoyed another fabulous pre-lockdown family dinner at The Ivy - service was warm and friendly, but professional, and the food was delicious.

Bar service a little slow and burger a bit dry but other than that good food and great atmosphere

The only gripe is the length of time policy.
As we sat down at 15:50we were reminded that the table would be required at 17:15
Then wait 20 mins for drink and order to be taken and again reminded before ordering pud that table was required.
When spending £85 per head I don’t want to be rushed!!!

A great pre Christmas mother and daughter lunch- we were in the private dining room due to covid spacing but even nicer than upstairs

Food was delicious as always, this was first time visiting this ivy branch and the service paled in comparison to other locations. We had booked a table and on seating the first thing we were told was that our table had been rebooked in an hour... this did not make us feel very welcome and felt rude as we had made our own hooking and nowhere had a one hour limit been stipulated. Another member of staff was rude and stand offish when asked questions about the menu.
Covid protection all in place, with temperature checking on arrive alive, hand sanitizer on tables, but ruined by countless staff wearing masks incorrectly with noses exposed.
Maybe it’s the pressure of the current situation l, but I would choose other ivy locations to return to over this one unfortunately.

Our first visit and every bit as good as our friends had told us. The whole experience from arrival to departure was special. I can’t praise the staff enough.

Our waiter was best, excellent setting, food and again the waiter and service was complete.

Gorgeous food, cannot fault the service, we were celebrating our anniversary and from the acknowledgement at the start to the mini cake at the end, everything was perfect.

Considering current circumstances, our dinner at The Ivy was wonderful.

This restaurant is certainly one for a special occasion. Drinks and food are excellent and the service is usually very good. I was a little concerned with how many people were in such a confined space and there were certainly a number of tables that had office Christmas parties of more than three households which was disappointing.

We were made to feel extremely welcome. The food was delicious and we had a super afternoon.

We felt like we were sitting outside having lunch in a ski resort! It was sunny and toasty warm with the heaters Food as always excellent. Such a treat having lunch out with a friend.

Always feels like a treat. Great atmosphere and service. A lovely meal.

This was for my wife’s birthday treat,and we were not disappointed,my wife being vegetarian was a worry but on arrival she was given a separate menu for vegan and vegetarians.
The food was lovely and the waitress very attentive and helpful with the choices of food and sides to accompany each other.
We would recommend the ivy to anyone
And look forward to the next time

Wonderful view of the castle if you have a window seat

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the setting is lovely. Food fantastic nice selection of wines and cocktails a very lovely evening.
Definitely go again.

Everything about The Ivy Guildford is superb, but the the noise levels are not good.
The music is far too loud, soft background music would be much better.

Went for a birthday meal and enjoyed everything about it, lovely food, lovely drinks and the service was amazing too! Definitely would go back again.

We had a fabulous time at The Ivy Castle View this week. Really enjoyed the Christmas menu and staff were outstanding and went above and beyond.

If the bottled drinks are kept chilled in the bucket stand away from the table, it would be good for the serving staff to help with refill diners' glasses, other leave the stand nearer to the table to make it easier for the diners to serve ourselves.

Had lunch here for my birthday. It felt really special. The restaurant is beautiful. Food was absolutely delicious. Really hoping they will be able to open for the end of January for my husband’s birthday.

The Ivy Castle View has done the COVID modifications so well. The table are placed so that you are away from other guests and I felt totally safe with all the care and attention given by the staff.

The Ivy has not lost its atmosphere or reduced it's standards in any way throughout this difficult time. Always a real treat to eat here!

A fabulous meal on a special occasion. Every course was heaven on a plate. Lovely view of the Castle from the covered outdoor terrace, with a heater at your back - they've thought of everything.

We very much enjoyed our pre theatre meal at The Ivy Guildford on Tuesday 15th December. Very good food which was only surpassed by excellent service by the waiters and waitresses - polite, personable and very efficient. The only thing I would say detracted from full marks was the size of the table. Sounds ridiculous, maybe, but it was a very small circular table and we had difficulty fitting the dishes, drinks and water glasses on the table. A very crowded table and a fear of knocking something over! Other than that it was excellent and would recommend.

Very enjoyable lunch. Busy but service was good. Sat in a quiet part so noise level was good.

It was a celebration of our 48th wedding anniversary, postponed from 15 November as you were not open at that time. The day was lovely and sunny and view superb, just like our wedding day. Thanks Sally and Malcolm Elliott
