The Ivy Cobham Brasserie
A lovely way to spend an evening, great food served by lovely people.
Had a fantastic evening here on the night before National Lockdown 2. The staff, food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent as ever. Thank you Ivy Cobham, we’ll be back soon.
Lovely evening and so nice for the staff to make my daughter’s graduate day (even though it was cancelled) special. And a real treat the night before lockdown! Thank you
We have had some excellent meals here over the last few years, but the standard has not been maintained. I tend to order fish as a main course, but won't anymore as it is too hit and miss, more miss than hit actually. Usually overdone and dry. I ordered sea bass last Wednesday which I think had probably been frozen. It was inedible, did not taste good and was too dry to eat. To their credit they did take it off the bill, but it was disappointing. I love the decor and vibe of the place and the Ivy special G & T is delicious. If they are offering outdoor seating in the colder months, I would suggest that they have more blankets on offer for guests as we were freezing!
Lovely food, great service, would highly recommend.
We felt very rushed
Fabulous as always! Great service! Love Cobham Ivy!
Felt a bit like a production line - no real soul and full of ‘girls who lunch’
Everything lovely except we were not shown the lunch or truffle menu and only when seeing the next table offered the other menus realised other choices where available..
Amazing food and service as always. Will miss the Ivy over the next 4 week lockdown, looking forward to returning in December!
Great foood service atmosphere and tone
One of the best restaurants in Surrey
Atmosphere and service was extremely good!
An excellent meal in a great position in the restaurant. Friendly efficient service as ever.
Considering the requirement to eat outside due to Tier 2 restrictions we had a lovely time celebrating my friends birthday. Food delicious and service great, thank you.
Went for breakfast and ordered the veggie option, delicious!!
Feel very lucky to have such a lovely restaurant on my doorstep! Thank you to the wonderful team at the Ivy for making every trip a joy!
As always great service and atmosphere. However quite possibly the worst sirloin steak I have been presented. The waiting staff were very polite but I was still charged. considering our bill was £260 for two people a value for money consideration must come into play.
Awesome and buzzing. The Ivy always delivers a good night out.
Very slick and professional service. Decor was beautiful. Food was delicious. I had Tuna Tartare to start that I can highly recommend. My Sea-bass for main was perfectly cooked
Lovely venue for an 18th birthday celebration. Birthday girl was delighted.
Felt very rushed. First thing I was greeted with at the front desk was being told that they needed the table back at 8.00 pm (6.30 booking). I was aware of the time offered, and whilst I appreciate they need to confirm this it was done in a very stern way. Then we were approached again after our main course(desserts ordered) saying "are you having desserts? because we need the table at 8". Explained that we'd ordered, but as the dessert had not arrived we couldn't obviously go yet. I understand that you were trying to get as many sittings in as possible, but the ladies in those hideous (virgin Atlantic) red dresses need a bit of customer service training, because it's not what you say, but how you say it. The waitress we had was lovely chatty and efficient (otherwise I would have gone lower rating on service).
Secondly, there was definitely good number of tables clearly not from the same household, despite being in a tier 2 area (I cannot believe they were all having business meetings!). This was very off putting for those of us that were eating out within the restrictions and trying to keep safe during Covid!
Thirdly, most of the food was delicious although my husband's sirloin steak was average, not to the point of sending back, but not the best.
Our most disappointing visit to The Ivy Cobham, which considering we were trying to support you and enjoy a last meal before lockdown, was pretty disappointing.
Really lovely decor. Lively atmosphere. Our table was really small for 5 people, it felt cramped. The food was ok, nothing out of the ordinary at all. I had sea bass - very bland. My son's sirloin steak was average. Fish and chips looked good as did the burger.
We had a lovely meal with excellent service. I had the salmon, my husband had the curry. Both were delicious. We both had the melting chocolate bomb. Washed down with a delicious red wine. Celebrated my birthday two days before lockdown!
Lovely ambiance, friendly staff and fantastic food. Would highly recommend.
Lovely, friendly, professional waitress. Nothing was too much trouble. Needed more crackers for cheese and appeared immediately.
Meal was exceptional- fish cooked beautifully. Wine exceptional - expensive but worth every penny.
Hostess and greeting 5*. Service and food quality let down. Cocktails not up to ivy standard. Do better guys - it’s all we have to look forward to before another lockdown
We had to sit in the garden due to the COVID restrictions but plenty of umbrellas, heaters and blankets to put on our knees kept us cosy and warm (and the weather was dry & sunny so that helped!) The roast salmon filet was delicious and went down very well but sadly the Ivy hamburger was not good at all - a very dry, plain burger in an equally dry, slightly singed bun. with some uninspiring garnish on the side. You could add cheese and pancetta however, it would have bumped the price up by almost £5 on top of an already pricey burger. Won’t be ordering that again but will return (when it’s possible again!) as it’s a wonderful place - beautiful decor and great service.
First time and 'wow' everything was amazing. Food delicious, servers very attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely return .
From start to finish the experience was superb. The menu was varied and the food was excellent along with the service. A very enjoyable birthday lunch and would recommend to anyone.
A very pleasant place to be with enjoyable food and pleasant service. We will return when the doors re-open as we enjoy the ambiance.
A warm magical evening under the stars, lovely and warm, so relaxing. The sweet potato Keralan curry was amazing, so delicious. Service excellent as always, staff so friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to return!
Felt that the 90 minute table time was a bit short to be able to enjoy the amazing food, and as a result the service wasn’t as good- we were checked on how we were doing several times, plates whisked immediately away. It’s a difficult time for restaurants so I understand, looking forward to “normal” for them and diners!
Enjoyed an early evening booking with set menu. Although had to ask for set menu& was some confusion on whether 2 of the 4 options had run out with still 30 minutes until end of the set menu service.
Also felt slightly rushed with 1 1/2hr booking slot allowed.. could not have enjoyed the full experience in that time.
Servers were friendly and acknowledged our anniversary.
We will return in better times to enjoy the full experience.
Not our first time and the Ivy and it’s always a pleasure. Top class service, really good food, a good and reasonably priced wine (try the Chenin Blanc!) - overall a great and fun experience.
Lots of options on the menu were unavailable which meant we could eat what we wanted to
We were on a table for two near the serving and cash station so ambience not as nice as usual
But was a late booking
We didn't find the food very exciting which is a shame as we would not rush back. The Kharala? Fish and prawn curry was very good. We struggled for inspiration and to get very excited at the menu. I had the sirloin steak and fries and it was competent but forgettable. The restaurant is stunning and the service is very good. You would have a problem if you were just relying on the food in my opinion.
Restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Plenty of space between tables.
Food and service very good. This is our first visit to The Ivy Cobham but we have been to the Richmond restaurant also. Both Great.
Very nice visit - slightly let down by the food (and specifically the toast!) but all in all I’d return.
Food was lovely. Unfortunately I had booked it as a birthday treat for my partner. Staff asked me whose birthday it was as I entered but not further action was taken. food was good as usual but this was a little disappointing.
