The Ivy Cobham Brasserie
Lovely evening, thoroughly enjoyable thank you. Merry Christmas 🎄
as always a great experience, service was top notch, and food was to the usual high standards, a great place to be and have a night out.
Fantastic food, drink and service
A disappointing visit the night before the tier 4 lockdown. Food wasn’t great, burger very dry, chicken Milanese overcooked. Ordered extra truffle/Parmesan fries, arrived just regular and then when we pointed it out just a very small shaving was put over the top. Beer was warm (no chilled glass this time!) Every table in our section complained !
It felt way Too many people ,Including staff for the area considering COVID ... no social distancing ... would have been great in normal times
Perfect evening of dining and service. Can’t wait to get there in the New Year
So disappointed with our visit to the Ivy Cobham. The food was bland (my scallops and chocolate bomb were particular disappointments). The plates were taken away within servings of the last mouthful and the next course served up within a minute of swallowing the previous course. Having been presented the desert menu and waiting to order we were then told they needed the table back so we could only have truffles. I complained they took 15 minutes to consult different t levels of staff only to comeback and say they needed the table again! In the end I demanded desert, shouldn’t have bothered as they were both poor. Utterly was the worse value restaurant we’ve been too - thankfully my visits to the Ivy Brighton and Guildford last year were much better. I will not be returning ever again. Also have to say the red virgin Atlantic type dresses the reception staff wear with their hostile attitude was another low light!!!! Gutted I wasted our Friday night, hours drive and £200!
The most delicious amazing meal we have ever had at the Ivy since it opened!!! Double cooked cheese soufflé and braised beef and mushroom tortellini starters were the winners of the whole experience. Please keep on menu forever. Needs more special dishes like these for future menus!!!
We always have an exceptional experience . Delicious food and lovely ambience.
The only issue I had on this occasion was that I don’t eat meat and would ordinarily have fish but they had sold out of salmon and sole. It was however the last day they were open before going into lockdown.
It’s still my favourite place to go for breakfast, lunch, afternoon or dinner!!
The service was slow, and given that diners are given ninety minute slots, it was all a bit rushed at the end. The place was busy but I gather it always is, so I would have expected better service. The food was fine, but nothing special. (My goose shepherds pie was very bland.) I thought the wine was a bit pricey.
Been a number of times always great experience love it
The food was fabulous, and a very good service by waiters / waitresses.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 issues, we sadly couldn’t continue to enjoy dessert and coffee, liquors. The customer only will be given a 2 hr slot.
This unfortunately out of The Ivy’s hands.
Overall, the food and service was outstanding. Will certainly revisit again in the future.
Had a lovely lunch at the Ivy day before the new lockdown measures. We sat outside and it was great as there were lots of heaters around to keep warn. My husband had the Goose shepherds pie and I had Dover Sole and they were both delicious.
Booked a table for myself and a friend outside due to Covid rules. In December! Lovely setting and we were warm with outside heaters. Staff were
perfect and lunch delicious
We were two couples having a Socially Distanced lunch outside on the last day before The Ivy closed for Christmas as we went into Tier 3 ... and then Tier 4. It was one of the most delightful lunches ever - for its superb food, service, ambience and the poignancy of the occasion. Forever to be remembered 🌟🎄💛
I treated my husband to breakfast at The Ivy Cobham for his 65th birthday. I booked for his birthday - Saturday 19th December but I had to change the booking because of Surrey going into Tier 3. The staff were amazing and gave us a booking for Friday 18th December and they couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We are hoping to book for dinner sometime in the future (after all the Tier 3 rules) and are looking forward to it already! Thank you so much for making the occasion so special. Highly recommended.
What a lovely place for a fantastic breakfast and good value for a superb breakfast thank you !
Absolutely excellent as always. The birthday cake for my mother in law was a lovely touch, and very much appreciated. A lovely way to start the Xmas holidays - thank you x
Great staff and lovely food. Parking available on site.
Lovely food and atmosphere as ever.
Expensive, wine overpriced
Girls early dinner. Lovely staff and great food, atmosphere.
Hi we are regulars at the Ivy in Cobham and under the circumstances with Covid they are doing a remarkable job. Due to the last minute lock down coming we quickly booked a table last minute so our son could enjoy a 21st birthday celebration dinner. I failed to notice on the email response that we would only have the table for an hour and a half when booking with 4 people. This meant that just having ordered another bottle of expensive wine and champagne between us we were then told we had 15 minutes to order our deserts and finish all our drinks. My son also ordered the steak and lobster. The steak was very good quality and well cooked, however you had to look very hard to find the lobster, it was the size of a small prawn at best and at £36.00 with no sides we were expecting a little more lobster. Despite this we will definitely be back once lock down is over and always enjoy our visits to the Ivy Cobham.
Rushed through the courses after talking 10 minutes to order. Was told didn’t have time to wait for tarte dessert to be made. Aperitif with snack opener came same time as starter. Waiter walking past checking his watch. Disappointing.
Welcome was inhospitable we were told we had to leave within an hour and a half for next booking. Service was poor and uninspired. My starter was poor - won’t be rushing back
Very enjoyable, staff were very helpful especially with our car parking
Normally I LOVE this place and can never fault it. Went yesterday and felt rushed the whole entire time. The waitress even asked if she could clear the food while we were still very clearly eating. I also wasn’t as impressed with the food as I normally am. It felt like they wanted us in and out as quickly as possible and that was all that mattered. Not happy with the quality of food or service from my visit yesterday. Really sad as this is usually one of my favourite places to go.
The Ivy is a delightful restaurant. It is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly courteous and professional.
The menu is quite varied and interesting. The cod baked in a banana leaf was delicious and was the dessert of Apple tarte flambé.
A lovely restaurant with no ‘buts!’
Excellent on all fronts. Great staff and very good food.
Lovely evening celebrating a birthday, they have level of service just right and choice and quality of food is amazing. Can't wait to return!
Forgot wine, then brought coffee before our deserts then forgot the truffles - very nice people but not effective
Food came to the table too quickly, barely 10 minutes between courses so the dinner felt rushed. Apart from this, the service was good and the staff were very pleasant. Nice relaxed atmosphere
Considering we were given a short amount of time due to Covid to eat and get out, they seemed to be extremely full and table not very distanced.
Additionally it was very clear that many of the tables were NOT the same BUBBLE. Very disappointed by this lack of attention to the rules.
Glad my husband wasnt with me as main course was more like a starter, didn't realise a glass of rosy was £13 .95 very much over priced I would have been happier with house wine as it didn't taste much different. Christmas pudding was nice for a treat.
We had a lovely lunch - outside due to certain restrictions. The service was brilliant (I believe it was Lewis who looked after us). Food was great and the outside area was set up with blankets and heaters so we could enjoy our meals without being cold. Thank you!
My wife’s birthday celebration, for which they greeted us by, was nice. Food was excellent quality. Initially, we were shown to a table close to the fire and Very close to others!
We ask to move and was placed in a corner, where many others were passing by, whilst there were semi cubicles available.
We enjoyed the meal. Thanks
I couldn’t fault our visit to the ivy cobham! The staff were so lovely and the service was impeccable. You felt very safe with spaced out tables and hand sanitiser to take away on the tables. We came for my sisters birthday and they even brought out a mini cake with a candle for her, which was complimentary. The atmosphere was great and buzzy all whilst keeping everyone safe and distanced - it was nice to feel a sense of normality and an escape from the busyness of the world outside. Thank you ivy cobham!
As always the whole meal experience was delightful. Great cocktail and some nibbles (cheese puffs with crab). The smoked salmon and crab starter lovely as was the prawn tempura with squid and chilli. Mains were lovely lobster pasta and a veal rib eye. Fab! Great desserts and wines. Lovely service abs a great setting. Perfect recipe all round!!
Yet another lovely and relaxing evening outside in the warmth of the patio heaters. Delicious courgette frittes for starters, then sweet potato and chestnut Kerala curry, so no room for the amazing chocolate bombe!
It has a lovely ambiance and good service. We love the starters but main meals were disappointing with little flavour.
Excellent food, fantastic service and all felt Covid safe and secure with temperature checks on arrival, appropriate social distancing and plenty of sanitiser.
