The Jonathan Swift Room at The Ivy Dawson Street seats 32 guests on two long tables or across four rounds. The room is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and canapé receptions for up to 50 guests.The room’s interiors will include colourful artwork and a striking landscape image of Dublin’s horizon as seen from Phoenix Park and St Stephens Green in 1800, whilst the ceiling itself will feature an image of fictional hero Leopold Bloom alongside a host of multicoloured, exotic flying birds.With a selection of menus available, specially created by our Executive Chef, Sean Burbidge, The Jonathan Swift Room is equally suited to private parties as it is for corporate breakfasts, lunches and dinners.Complimentary menu cards and place cards are provided for each event and each table is decorated with seasonal flowers and tea lights.

A group of 4 went for dinner here, food was amazing & presentation outstanding. Staff were professional all the way from the time we walked in the door until we left, everything about our visit was 100%. Loved it & we will come again soon

The Ivy is our favorite restaurant to visit in Dublin! Absolutely love the atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food and drinks. Favorite Sticky Toffee Pudding anywhere.

Very disappointing Poor value. Was given a glass with a lipstick smudge . Waiter rude we were - asked to leave the table when we were still finishing our drinks. This happened twice. We were not told that the seat had to be vacated at a certain time when we made the reservation. Would not recommend. Will not return.

Food was dreadful. I had the hamburger & it was nothing special - bang average with pickle and fries etc and the meat was really dry & overdone. My friend had the chocolate bomb which turned to mush when the sauce was poured. Wildly overpriced for a very average meal in an overcrowded restaurant with all the tables squashed together. Only high points were the staff (lovely) and the decor.

Ambience of the Ivy is excellent. I was in Richmond London last week and ate there 3 times in one day for different meetings! I was allowed the excellent duck salad at the bar in London, but refused in Dublin to eat at the bar? Our Dublin Ivy can be a bit more flexible perhaps? Attention behind the bar, maybe in need of a few more attentive Bar men: the attention seems to go on serving the tables not the people at the bar? All in all a good experience at the IVY

Sunny afternoon and as sitting beside the window it got extremely warm. Blinds needed for peak summer to shade customers from the sun. Also we wanted a relaxing late lunch but a person in the group beside us was unbearably loud !! Staff attentive , good service & food very good.

We were directed to bar on arrival at approx 7.15pm which was our booking time. It was difficult to hear instructions and to know what the procedure was. We figured things out and ordered a drink. When taken to table, service and food were very good indeed. It was all worth waiting for, although a bit noisy for seniors like ourselves.

Our waiter Daniel was really good - however drink orders were slow and then when we did receive our drinks we we’re rudely asked to leave the table as they had other customers waiting! This could have been handled in much better way! Letting us know we had 1 hour left or 30 mins so we knew! Lady who spoke to us was really unfriendly and rude! Won’t be going back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in The Ivy yesterday. The food was amazing, I tried popcorn shrimp & korean chicken for the first time and both were extremely tasty. My mum enjoyed the fishcake. Our spanish waiter was a gentleman (I didn't get his name). We cannot wait for our next visit.

Having eaten in The London Ivy I expected more. Lovely restaurant,lively crowd (for lunch on a Wednesday) excellent bar but let down by the most important thing;the food. Having had a tasty but very small smoked salmon starter (with literally a teaspoon of crab meat at an extra price) I went with the signature shepherds pie that was ridiculously small and not even that special in flavour. We were disappointed, not with the price (which we expected to be high and was) ,but we left unsated. Well back to the Westbury or Shelbourne until we hear of extensive improvements.

We had a few drinks at the bar prior to our dinner as we were there earlier... Guinness wasn't as cold however the raspberry mojito was lovely. Staff are really nice and helpful... Food was tasty however the side was very salty. We got a complimentary little cake for a birthday celebration with I thought was a really nice gesture. The chocolate bomb is very sweet! There is a service charge. We were charged different prices for the same white wine we got...

Everything was lovely, the food, the service and overall experience except we felt we were being rushed out at the end, a member of staff came to our table twice and asked us to leave our table whilst we still had drinks including a hot pot of tea, this kinda put a dampener on our visit there, I’ve been there 3 times before and never experienced this, I understand the restaurant is busy but it does give a bad impression when something like this happens and the same thing happened to my friend who was there last weekend, nobody likes to feel rushed after having a 3 course lunch and drinks, a bit disappointed to be honest

Food was nice and staff attentive but very disappointed that our engagement wasn’t acknowledged even though it was noted on our booking. A glass of bubbly or a candle in our dessert would have been a nice touch.

Food was delicious .I had a lovely time .The receptionist was a little pushy to go straight to the table when I just wanted to go over to friends that were at the bar to say hello I was told no straight to your table.I laughed afterwards about it but thought it was little uncalled for telling me what I can and can’t do
