Great place to eat with family and/or friends. Great ambience and wonderful food. Have been there a few times now and have not been disappointed.

Unfortunately for the owners, I think we got a server (who seemed to be in charge) who was having a bad morning. Seemed to use the online booking system as a way to avoid a chat on the day of booking and then the terms and conditions of the online system as an excuse on the day we got there. Were told we were going to be considered a no show on the day as we didn't all order from the food menu. I assume this was to avoid a service fee from the online booking company, but with random varying surcharges depending on who was paying, and making the last person pay for a drink they hadn't ordered because staff had messed something up can cover any admin fee they pay for their booking service. This would have made some sense if they were full or busy, but they weren't, 9 people spending approx $150 that are in and out in 45minutes I thought would be a good thing when you aren't full. But apparently not, as I received the "sorry you didn't turn up email" suggesting it's not a nice thing to let your hard-working cafes down during covid. We would have been better off as 9 walk ins and annoying the server and kitchen that way, as we seemed to annoy her anyway with notice. I
also assume the "no show" is a mark against my name in the Open table app, which is unacceptable.

Don’t make a booking unless all of you are planning to order a food item from the menu. Friends and I caught up for morning coffee and the lady who served us said that all of us were required to order a food item from the menu because we made a booking. (Apparently ordering the coffee wasn’t enough).

Great coffee ... I know everyone says that but I REALLY mean it !
Service excellent even on a busy weekend, remember to book as gets busy ... attention to covid management very good ... and super tasty interesting food ...

Friendly hosts, welcoming of children. However the attitude of one staff member was abrupt and less than welcoming. This is consistent with my previous two experiences. Food is fresh and tasty; coffee is a great brew. Disappointing that only one hour was allocated to our booking; many others offer 90 minutes. We were unable to have our second cuppa and finish with a sweet treat.

Rather disappointing. Two of us sent coffee back because the milk was sour. The brioche was stale and the ‘sourdough’ under the crab scramble was not toasted. Maybe I read item wrongly but made for a squishy not so pleasant experience.
Really liked the menu but didn’t quite give what was promised.

Service and food were excellent. A quirky location and a great Reuben! We loved it.

As always I can rely on the consistency of the Loose Caboose. I had a party of 7 and booked online with a specific request. Table was ready on arrival and the request met. The food is always good, different menu to last time but all 7 of us really enjoyed our food and got envy of others dishes as well. Staff friendly and helpful and highly recommend

Such rude staff... rushed us to put in an order 30 seconds after we had arrived, very little customer service and quite rude about the eftpos machine not working fast despite this not being our issue... overall would not come back again purely due to the wait staff

Lovely decor inside. The menu was full of delicious options and the smashed avo did not disappoint.

The dish was delicious, but the pork was a bit too tough and dry. And for the price would be considered small. Nice ambiance though.
