The NoMad Restaurant - Las Vegas
Great place with fine food and excellent service. Highly recommend.
Food and wine was way over priced and the food was only mediocre. We had the chicken for two. The cold
Bean salad was pretty bad. The best part of the meal was the bread they served and the wine was good, but it was way over priced. Not worth the cost AT ALL.
Roast chicken was larruping good! Excellent service, ambiance and wine list.
Menu is limited in choices. But what they do with their choices is outstanding.
We had the salad, oysters, Duck, steak, fries, and two different desserts. YUM!!
The table next to us had the roasted chicken and raved about it.
Definitely on our return list.
We never ever ever have chicken in a restaurant for dinner. However the description and the accolades this chicken dish received made us try it! And it was amazing! It did help that it had fois gras stuffed under the skin! Nonetheless it was fantastic!!
2nd time at this restaurant after a visit a year ago which was very good.
The main issue was with the main course!
It turns out that they have changed the way they cook steak.
4 persons ordered steaks - 2 bone in New York - ("16 oz, bone-in 45 day dry-aged NY strip, sauce au poivre, chicory & french fries") and 2 Filet - ("Bone marrow-encrusted, roasted with asparagus, miso & bordelaise").
When asked for the temperature, and we asked for the New York to have some charr (Pittsburg) on the outside, we were told that it is not possible as the steaks are cooked sous vide (slow cooked at a low temperature - about 120 to 140 degrees for multiple hours).
When the steaks arrived the New York steak was tough and had no flavor at all.
The filet was tender but also had little flavor, and the texture of the filet was "mushy".
There was no time to send the steaks back as we had to attend an event, and the main course took longer to arrive than normal as the restaurant was very busy.
This method of cooking the steaks is new to the restaurant and has clearly been implemented to make things more efficient in the kitchen. Cook the steaks during the day, or the day before, refrigerate them and then re heat them when needed. The sauces spread over them are designed to hide the less than appealing appearance of a sous vide steak when served. This trick is used frequently in Las Vegas hotels at large convention and other meal events where a large number of people have to be served the same item at the same time. One does not expect to see this in an a la carte fine dining restaurant where the price is close to $50 per item. If this was an acceptable way of preparing and serving steaks in a fine dining restaurant, it would be disclosed on the menu.
As a Las Vegas resident who eats on the Strip on a regular basis, I will be asking restaurants, before I make a reservation, if they are preparing steaks in a sous vide manner, so as to avoid this in the future.
Lovely overall Experience!!!
The menu had odd offerings. It was very difficult for my wife and me to find an entree that would be to our liking. Note: We are far from being picky eaters. We guess our palates are not sophisticated enough for this restaurant. On a positive note, the decor of the restaurant is very unique, comfortable, and spectacular.
Amazing thank you
Very cool setting, surrounded by 25,000 books. The food was fantastic and I could take a truck load of their puffed cheese bread home with me.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere
Awful. Don’t waste your time and money. The food and service were both terrible. Not a single one of the five wait staff who sparsely visited our table even asked if we were enjoying the food. We finished all the bread before anyone even took our order. One waiter even shamed me for not wanting to order another cocktail (and I had a mocktail because I don’t drink, which makes it even worse). You only get a side salad with the $96 (terribly dry) chicken, which you have to share, and they don’t even give you utensils to get it out of the tiny bowl so you can share it! Then they let randoms in just to walk around in their jeans and tank tops and take pictures. Shouldn’t the experience be limited to patrons? There are so many other wonderful dining experiences in Vegas to take advantage of. Skip this one and go somewhere...ANYWHERE...else.
Amazing food, amazing service and just an amazing place. My favorite dining spot in Vegas. Expensive, but in this case worth every dollar. The presentation was amazing, the people were attentive but not overbearing, people were there at the table taking care of things without even interrupting or making things awkward. The seating layout made me feel like i was in a comfortable library lounge someplace. the setting is beautiful, tables spaced far apart, very high ceilings and lots of soft surfaces abhorring almost all the sound, not to mention just the setting is so relaxing and calming. The food was amazing as were the unique specialty cocktails they offer. I dine out at Michelin 2 and 3 star restaurants at least weekly and this restaurant is on par with a 2-star experience in my book... and if could probably approach a 3-star if it were not in vegas and bombarded with the high traffic and table turnover that vegas restaurants demand to stay in business and cycle through enough customers to allow for enough diners to stay relevant in that maket. Too exclusive and you lose and too run-of-the-mill and you lose.
Out of the thousands of restaurants in LV, take this one off your list. Limited menu. Food was mediocre. Wine list was lacking. Service was poor; think inattentive, slow, lack of knowledge. The ambiance is cool. A few of the appetizers were a bright spot. Won't return to the restaurant, but NoMad bar across the hall is a great spot.
The music, both in the bar and the restaurant iwa way too loud. Food and service was okay, but not great.
The chicken was amazing. Completely worth every penny and more than enough for 2. The gruyere popovers to start are great as well
Loved everything! Great service, amazing food, and the ambiance is so unique to anything I’ve ever experienced. It’s like having dinner in the coolest private library/den you’ve ever seen. I’d definitely recommend.
No silvet ware
Food arrived before wine
The place was being
Taken apart as we were
Finishing...for that price
The place should be
Intact until one leaves
Everything about this experience was poor. The service was very sparse and it was obvious that the staff is inadequately trained. The portions of food were really small and tasted underwhelming.
Awesome venue and atmosphere. Very attentive staff. The cocktail menu is a little overkill and pricey - I ended up not liking my fancy drink I’ve never heard of, and they were nice enough to take it off the bill and just make me a spicy margarita. Highly recommend the bone marrow crusted filet. Will definitely return!
One of the best dining experiences my wife and I have ever had! I made a reservation for her birthday and when we arrived at our table there was a birthday card waiting for her signed by the entire staff including the chef!
The restaurant is absolutely stunning, dimly lit with gorgeous chandeliers, and 25,000 books lining the walls that you can pick up and look through. We were waited on by 4 or 5 people throughout the service, constantly being checked on by incredibly kind and knowledgeable wait staff. They are known for the signature full chicken, but we were in the mood for steak so we both ordered the filet mignon encrusted with bone marrow and it was quite possibly the best steak I've ever had! The crispy bone marrow layer on top took the flavor to the next level!
At one point my wife got up to use the restroom and a host got my attention and brought me over to a cart full of fresh roses and gave me a few to bring back to her and she was completely surprised. Then for dessert they brought her the biggest cotton candy I've ever seen, it was hilariously fun and delicious. I'm so glad I decided to pick Nomad for her special birthday dinner. They went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing experience, and it was an evening we will never forget!
Overalls loved our dinner experience.
Not all of the food was amazing which was surprising since the NY and LA locations never disappoint. Wishing the best for the LV location - it’s a respite from the Vegas craziness
This place is just beautiful. Food is delicious, and service is excellent!
I would definitely recommend the Fruits De Mer, Duck and Honey & Milk for dessert.
Great Vibe. Service was outstanding. Really enjoyed the library feel. Fantastic food. Great location adjacent to the NoMad lobby and bar. Would absolutely go back.
Was charged $17 for about 4 sips of alcohol. Nothing fancy here. Food was boring and overpriced for what you get. There are way better options in Vegas than this place.
Great food, service & ambiance. Interesting wine list. The roasted chicken is not to be missed!!
Food and beverages were excellent as well as the service. Super cool place to go.
I loved the ambiance and the decor of this restaurant. The food was amazing and the bar had some very delicious drinks! Highly recommended.
The service was excellent and we were quite impressed with everyone that worked there. The food is the issue. I ordered the scallops and they were disgusting. There was some kind of odd flavored sauce that seemed to have red pepper, possibly tomatoes and mint. It was gross. They were very nice and spotted right away that I did not like the meal and offered a substitute, so I ordered the filet mignon. It had a bone marrow crust which gave it a wet sawdust texture and did not taste good. The filet was cooked a good medium rare, but was devoid of flavor and mealy, terrible texture. There was very little sauce, so that was no help. The only decent thing I had was a few bites of my sister’s twice baked potato. Highly overpriced for sub par food.
This is my second time dining at NoMad on the restaurant side and both time the service has been great at the bar and on the bar side but only average at best at the table on the restaurant side. The table side Tartar service is excellent but the main servers just don't have great attitudes. The food was outstanding and I would go back if someone picked it but I would be cautious of the service and expect more for the price I paid to take customers.
Amazing!!!!! The Lobster Feast was one of the top dinners. Everything was so tasty with great combination!!!
Food was average, at best. Service not what it could be (slow kitchen, missed orders). Would not recommend, and I am a big fan of the NYC restaurant.
Food was outstanding. Service from Kate was impeccable. Cocktails were amazing. Ambiance was fantastic. Highly recommend. By far, one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.
We loved it! The chicken was fantastic - the best I’ve ever had. Christian and Norman were both great in their recommendations and conversations. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Had dinner here with friends visiting Vegas. Superb food and service. The dining ambiance is amazing! Pricy but Highly recommended. Must dine here when in Vegas.
We loved it there! From the decor to the food! We had problems with the bread but they rectified it quickly. Also made a cocktail according to my requests. One of my favorites is baked Alaska and they did a little twist to it! Definitely worth going back to
They have changed the chicken dish. I prefer the older one. Popovers are fabulous. Great cocktails. Our meals were not as impressive as our first time. Maybe just an off night. I will try it again tho.
The food and the spa
Really enjoyed our first time at NoMad. Very interesting flavors and the popovers they served as the bread were great. I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and delicious.
