Excellent food and the dining rooms were only lit with candles and a fireplace outstanding atmosphere.

A truly unique and wonderful New England dining experience. From the romantic candle-lit historic dining rooms, to the caring and careful service and the excellent fare, this is the "never-disappoints" place to go when in or around Berkshires, or just make a special trip (the Inn also has five guest rooms.) The $55 three course dinner prix fixe is a tremendous value. Recent standouts from the winter menu are the butternut squash soup, winter caesar salad, steak frites, beef tenderloin and veal cheek, lobster pasta, roast chicken, crisp-skinned salmon, and much more. There are always chef's amuse-bouches served prior to dining, most recently cucumber with caviar and crispy, melt in your mouth mini crabcakes.

The Inn is offering very nice Prix Fixe menu with excellent options. The food was great and the service was professional and friendly. This is a real gem of a restaurant the is off the beaten path and well worth the trip.

This remains one of our favorite restaurants anywhere! In spit of the virus, the tent setting was charming, the food fabulous, the service wonderful. It deserves all the superlatives one can find.

We came for our 25th anniversary on a cold and rainy night. Fortunately we ate indoors and enjoyed the candlelit room. Service was excellent, food was excellent and the only thing that would have made it nicer would have been a lit fire in the fireplace. We look forward to coming back on a future visit to the Berkshires.

Great place to go for a really nice dinner together or with friends. the candlelit tables are a nice touch.

This place is such a gem. The food is really special, the service is excellent and the setting is lovely. It's a first class dining experience from start to finish. It's a bit off the beaten path, which adds to its charm I think. Worth the trip for sure.

I was happy to see the menu has changed from the summer months. I always order the beef special and it Never disappoints. The tent was not as warm as I would have liked but a few extra layers did the trick

Beautiful setting, wonderful food, excellent service. We dined outdoors in a fuly screened in tent that allowed us to see the great landscape and the birds flitting between the trees and feeders, without being bothered by insects. While we were reviewing the menu, the chef sent out some tasty tidbits - a wonderful treat! The menu is prix fixe with upcharges on a few items. Appetizers - one of us had the lobster ceviche, another had the soup du jour and the third had an heirloom tomato & burrata salad. All of us were happy with our choices. All three of us ordered the halibut entree, which was simpy divine. Desserts were impressive. The kitchen accomodated my dairy sensitivity along the way - including with a bowl of fresh mixed berries for my dessert. We ordered two different bottles of wine that were both to our liking, and we indulged in after dinner drinks and coffee. The food was high quality, well prepared, perfectly cooked and the service was attentive while not cloying. The evening was a huge success with all of us! I highly recommend dinner at the Old Inn on the Green.

Wonderful food, excellent service.

We go to the Old Inn whenever we are in the Berkshires. Food is excellent and the service was impeccable. We ate inside during these COVID-19 times. We had the room to ourselves. If you are not familiar with the Old Inn you dine by candlelight, candles on the table and candles in the chandelier. No electric lights. The ambiance is fantastic. My wife had the salmon and thought it was excellent. I had the lobster ceviche and 2 types of beef for the main course. Both were well prepared and excellent. Dinner was a 3 course price fix for $55. Well worth it.

This is literally my favorite restaurant in the world. My Lamb Chops were cooked perfectly by JP and James is always a pleasure. I can’t wait to go back to the Old Inn on the Green.

Great food, great service. Fun night

We had a lovely and intimate evening under their white tent, enjoying well-prepared and super tasty food. The tables were spaced out so far that we felt we were on our own, celebrating our anniversary! The food, as usual, was impeccable. We both ordered seafood (salmon and halibut), and both were prepared just right! The flavors were fantastic and fresh. We devoured our whole meal!

The Old Inn On The Green was a wonderful and unique experience. I love that it used to be a post office in the 1700’s and the roaring fire and candlelight. The service was stellar and the food was delicious. We felt special when the chef sent our tastes of other menu items and the desserts were almost too beautiful to eat. Definitely recommend for a special occasion!

The space, the service, wine and dishes from canapes to dessert were all incredible. Exceeded expectations.

Had chefs tasting menu. More food than we would normally eat. Each course was excellent. Atmosphere was very romantic. Only comment was waiter could have been more engaging. Highly recommend this place.

An unusual setting--a colonial house with no electricity--all light from candles--that delivers gourmet food, at once innovative and delicious--excellent wine list--

My wife took me to the Old Inn for my 70th Birthday and as usual we both were not disappointed. The atmosphere is special with candles as the only source of illumination in the dining rooms. The whole experience was exceptional and for those looking for fine dining along with great service and atmosphere you can’t go wrong.

Lovely room with fireplace all to ourselves! The food was excellently prepared and served Lovely way to spend Valentines Day with dear friends!! Price fixed meal had good choices. Would definitely return for a special occasion

This was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at....hands down. Everything from the greeting at the door to the ambience, service (Ian) and food were impeccable. Dining by candlelight and fire light In a building with so much history it’s palpable, was a true delight. We enjoyed the price fixe menu on a Saturday night and it was wonderful. Nothing bad to say about this place. Will definitely return!
