The Ole Store is always fantastic. We love to go there.

Not a lot of choices for good dining in Northfield. Fortunately, The Ole Store is one of the best. Good food, nice ambiance, excellent service.

I've eaten dinner here several times and loved it . Tried it for Sunday breakfast/brunch this time. The cinnamon roll was fantastic, as was the sausage scramble, which was recommended by our waitress. Service was thorough but unobtrusive. My friend and I had not seen each other in awhile and wanted to sit and visit. Our drinks were refilled regularly and we were not rushed. Recommend a booth if you want some privacy for your conversation.

Ole Cafe reservation made early last week and got a reminder on Saturday to reconfirm which I did. Menu is slightly reduced in selections but the Eggs Benedict were done perfectly.
Hashbrowns were crispy and tasty but a little greasy. The Ole Breakfast ordered by my two guests was great and fruit was offered rather than meat.
Tables are spaced out and noise was not an issue. A fun place to take an Ole if you know one.

First time I've tried it since new ownership in January of 2020. Excellent, simple and tasty food. Basics with an upscale twist in a comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

We arrived an hour before closing, and there were very few groups inside. Social distancing was well done by the restaurant. Our server was very polite, and knowledgeable without being overbearing or annoying. We had the Brussel sprouts, steak try-tip and flourless chocolate torte. All were fantastic. We would eat here again in a heartbeat. If there was any downside, and this is really nit-picking, it seemed a bit expensive for the location of the restaurant and condition of the dining area. That said, it likely will not stop us from going back, maybe just from going as often as we would like.

Fantastic experience at The Ole Store ! Visiting Northfield for a quick holiday and were so happy with food/ service / and cocktails. Quiet atmosphere for an enjoyable evening. I had the Swedish Meatballs which were so good. The staff worked with my wife on dairy free options and she thoroughly enjoyed the braised beef.

If we head back to town, we will definitely be back.

Missy, our server, was fantastic but she was definitely hustling to get to all her tables. Their fall cocktail (Autumn Breeze) is very tasty.

Great food. Great waitress and hostess. But it did seem short staffed somewhat with how busy our waitresses was the entire time, I feel like they needed another waitress to help out.

We love the Ole Store. I had the braised beef aka short ribs, part of the new fall menu, wonderfully tender and flavorful! Combined with the Smith & Hook Cab—you can’t go wrong. Great location to meet friends too.

Great local food selections , everything we had was delicious. Loved how they used seasonal and local meats, vegetables and fruits. Enjoyed breakfast there also!

We took Grandma there for dinner and sho loved it. She ate most of the lingonberry cheesecake we were sharing.

I had the Cinnamon French toast which was great. Booths provide good protection from other diners with high walls. Had some reservation issues with Open Table but everything worked out.

Unique, limited menu. Smaller portion sizes so seems a bit pricey for the amount of food. Great ambiance and excellent service. Would recommend but be prepared to spend some money on smaller portions.

Coffee was terrific, French toast unbelievable, pecan cinnamon roll was huge, glad we ordered just one to split, way big the Ole breakfast great, just be sure to come really hungry, you get lots of food and so very tasty! We'll be back!

Finally Northfield has a destination restaurant! Fantastic menu and execution. Far & away the best dining in southern Minnesota.

Great Nordic food and restaurant close to St Olaf College.

Had a very nice breakfast with my mom and daughter. Lots of space for social distancing and the dining areas were clean and organized. Will go back for the Sweedish Meatball biscuits and gravy.

Delicious food, great service, and all at a great price! We went on a Saturday morning and we all got the Ole special, and for $5, it was a LOT of food and very filling. We even had some leftovers to take home. Don't forget to get an Ole roll!
