The Palm Tysons Corner
Fantastic meal, the service by Mishka was 5 star. Part of what makes the palm the palm is the service and the hustle of the dining room
Food was excellent, as usual. I was disappointed that there was no acknowledgment of a birthday being celebrated by one of our party, even after calling ahead to make sure it was noted on the reservation. This happened once before. Maybe birthday dinners are not worth noting for them-seems easy to acknowledge a celebration (as other restaurants do) without costing too much.
Best dinner we have had at the Palm in quite some time. Appetizers were excellent and salads and soup quite good. Our steak was under seasoned, but well cooked. We had not been for quite some time but this was a good experience that will bring us back.
The price they charge was way above the quality of the food. Will not go back.
We were seated at table 25. The pop-up edges to make the table larger continuously fell during the course of our two hour meal and hit us in the leg every time. Very annoying to spend $500 on a birthday dinner and not have a functional table. When we brought this to the attention of the server he said we’re working on replacing most of the tables I guess we haven’t gotten to this one yet. No manager stopped by our table to check on us otherwise I would’ve let them know.
I ordered a steak that was pretty pricy but wasn’t worth the extremely high price. The quality of the steak was “ok” at best. Don’t think I’ll be returning anything soon.
Mishka as always was the best server / waiter I could ever hope for, he loves what he does and shares that joy to all he has contact with. The food as always was the best, that's why I frequent the Palm as often as possible.
The food and staff at The Palm Tysons has kept up its traditional great quality and quantity.
GM Tim has been at the helm for over 29 years and has not skipped a beat.
Terrific management, food, and service, even in the bar, make the Palm 5 star.
Service was great, food was mediocre. Had drinks, apps, entrees, sides, and dessert and nothing stood out or was particularly great. A little disappointed for the price point
Always a great experience! Tim & Mishka....100%
The food is absolutely the best !! Very noisy though. But can’t wait to go back !!!
I thought the food was fine and what you would expect from The Palm but I felt our waiter was unfriendly and almost annoyed he had to work. This will probably be my last time going to The Palm as I was very underwhelmed by the whole experience. We had steak and lobster for our meal and it costs over $300 and for this amount of money I think I could go to another restaurant and have a better meal and a better overall experience.
New Year’s Eve
Have been to The Palm several times and New Year's eve dinner experience (7:00 PM) was the worst by far. The atmosphere was good as I stated in previous slide and the Server was pleasant though very hurried. From the minute we sat down (party of 4) we were rushed throughout. The Veal Parm (2 of us had that) was the worst ever. Plate was warm..likely microwaved and the Parm was 'mushy' and obviously not freshly prepared. I was very embarrassed in front of our guests when the bill came and I handed the Server the Open Table Reward Card....specifically asked for The Palm - Tyson's. She was confused and took it to her Supervisor who refused to accept it as it said Balance:$0.00. The Supervisor and Server did not follow the instructions by Open Table on how to credit it. Therefore I still have it and need to get it credited back to my account.
We had a wonderful evening at the Palm in Tysons Corner Virginia. As soon as we were seated, we were given a Happy Birthday card which was for my wife. She was thrilled to receive that. Our Server greeted us with a nice Happy birthday also. The food and service was absolutely outstanding in every way. You just cannot express enough just how nice dining is at the Palm. We frequent the Palm in Las Vegas and the Palm in Atlantic City New Jersey. All three are outstanding in every way!!!
Wasn’t that impressed at all! The service and food were both lacking. My husband and I always go to different steak places and were excited to try out The Palm. It was extremely underwhelming. We wrote on our reservation that we were there celebrating a birthday, however the hostess or waiter didn’t mention anything about it. When you go to high end restaurants the host and staff always know if there is a special occasion and immediately acknowledge the special occasion. We were seated right away, but our server took a while to greet us (it was not busy at all). He barely greeted us and said “you waiting for two more?” And we said “yes.” He then just left.. didn’t ask if we want water or if he could start us off with a bread basket .. nothing! He finally came back when our other two guests came. We ordered the calamari which was oily and didn’t taste fresh. We got porterhouse steaks which was ok, the meat was very chewy. Then we got the dessert.. you cannot mess up creme brûlée, but they somehow managed to do that. The service was extremely poor and the food was ok. If you expect guests to pay a premium, please stay on top of your service. If the food was ok and service was amazing, I wouldn’t have given the place bad reviews. So disappointed. You are better off going to Morton’s where you will get amazing service and food. The hosts and staff always know what event you are celebrating and are always so attentive.
We come here often. Two of the filets were grossly undercooked.....RARE (blue). They were too embarrassed to say something to the waiters, so they ate what they could. I'm surprised at a restaurant at this level that basic mistake happens.
Food was delicious! Made accommodations for food allergies which was great. Yes it's not cheap by far but I'd say it's on par with other restaurants in this category. Service was good overall. The drinks seemed a bit pricey for what you got so I think that's an area for improvement.
We had an awesome family dinner here on Christmas Eve...great food and great service!
The food was great and it was only matched by great service.
Great food and fantastic service, as always.
The Palm is always our family’s choice for special occasions, as well as everyday dining. The staff is extraordinary, the service is professional but friendly, and the food is consistently excellent. When we leave, we feel like it was an event.
We were 30 mins early for our dinner reservation but they seated us. Nice Barry had a big, bone-in Ribeye). Desserts we chose were chocolate & Key lime pie. Cappuccinos to top it all off. We shall return!
Bday for my special love
Consistent favorite. Always look forward to it yearly visit to the Palm!
As usual this location of the Palm is just like all the rest- great food and great service.
Pretty loud but how do you solve that, you can’t.
Looking forward to another visit -ANYWHERE!
Excellent food and service!
Palm Tyson’s is the best one in the dc area food and service are great, never disappoints .
Amazing food and service as always. Thank you Alexander for all the great recommendations and service! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Great dining. Great night. Great waiter
Awesome experience at the last minute needed to take my kids out for Thanksgiving...Palm came through beautifully as always!!!!!
Went to the Palm for the first time for Thanksgiving dinner. Service was excellent! Great food and lots of variety.
We were there for Thanksgiving where they had a thanksgiving dinner for $58 in addition to the regular menu. I was served a plate with several pieces of dry turkey and a scoop of stuffing. No garnishment or effort to make the food look appetizing. Server was very kind and started out fine but ended terribly with dirty dishes setting on our table for an extended time and no attention. Pecan pie for dessert was barely unfrozen and bland. Our server told us that the pecan pie was supposed to be chocolate pecan but it wasn’t so they drizzled chocolate on top. Finally, my husbands filet was undercooked. All in all not a good experience for a fine dining restaurant. Poor service is completely unacceptable.
A great experience - traditional Thanksgiving dinner without the cooking and hassle of annoying relatives. [;>)
How can you miss with The Palm Tysons Corner? You can't!!! I used to go to the original Palm near Broadway w/my parents every time we visited New York for a play, shopping--and that those times were frequent! I was always amazed by the ambiance, the service, the food (and the huge portions!)---when I married and our son was growing up, we would visit The Palm in Washington, DC for special occasions--always a treat! Now The Palm at Tyson's delivers everything one could ask for---their Manager, Tim, is the BEST!
The food was great and matched by the great service. My birthday could not have been better celebrated.
We have dined at the palm several times in the past but found this experience very disappointing, as the food was mediocre, and only the server met our expectations. The room was very noisy, and our dining booth restrictive and not comfortable. It was not an experience that we will repeat.
What a fantastic evening. Loved our waiter Mike and the food was truly exceptional.
Neal, our waiter, was excellent.
