   We usually love The Prescott, but our food was a disappointment this time. We have been there multiple times since moving to Kernersville and we raved about this place to our out of town guests. The corn chowder we ordered was cold, had very little corn and substance, mostly liquid. Same for the lobster bisque. My husbands pot roast was supposed to have vegetables in it and there were only 2 pieces of squash, plus, it was not hot, either. My salmon was very over spiced and not cooked as I had asked. Our guests were not impressed either. Was the lack of quality of the food due to the fact that we had 8:15 (later) reservations and they were running out of quality food? I would hope not. We are having out of town guests again next month and were planning on taking them to The Prescott, but now I am not sure.

   we had a 715 dinner reservation. We arrived at 7:15. We were told they did not have a table for us, Although they acknowledged the reservation. at 7:35 we asked when we might expect to be seated. The hostess said she had no idea, there were no open tables. We waited about six more minutes and left. So we did not eat there. so in reality zero stars.

   We came to this restaurant for my husband’s birthday. The first thing we’re told is that they’re sorry they are going to sit us at a very small table in a corner and asked if that was okay (we had reservations). We said yes because we weren’t going to wait for an unknown amount of time, but every staff member that walked by said they were so sorry we were at that table and would try to move us. Our two plates and water glasses barely fit on the table and my husband hit his head on the wall that he was squished up against. They eventually moved us to a normal sized table. The next thing we were told was that they were out of several menu items already (at 6:45pm). When they brought my husband’s food out (lobster and steak), there was NO lobster. They didn’t warn us and didn’t comp the price at all. They brought some chopped up crab in a bowl……. The food took a very long time to come out. They brought my husband the wrong beer. We will NOT be back. Really sad.

   This restaurant is great as long as you have plenty of time. Every time I have eaten here so far, there’s been a long time (approximately 30 minutes) between ordering and getting my food. The food is delicious, so as long as you go prepared to take your time then you will be happy.

   This was my first time dining here. It was amazing! The first thing I noticed was the ambiance. The lighting and decor set the mood. Our ssrver, Brittany, was friendly and efficient. The menu selection was very good. We ordered bruschetta, lobster bisque soup, blackened grouper, seafood risotto, and a glass of Malbec wine. Everything was delicious and portions were good. I will definitely be back!

   We heard good things about the Prescott but were very disappointed. The food was sub-par. Grouper was overcooked and bland, pasta was heavy and lacked flavor. Service was slow. It was a special occasion dinner and could not recommend nor will we go back. Very disappointed.

   The Prescott is a really comfortable place to eat. The interior feels homely, the staff is welcoming and the food, sourced locally, is well done. The truffle lobster dip is excellent, the onion soup would make the French jealous and the seafood risotto is outstanding. Good choice of wines by the glass to round things out.

    Honestly this was our second monthly girls lunch there. Already scheduled a date for March! The lobster bisque…..10 out of 10. Service friendliness of staff and overall experience… 10 out of 10. Food was delicious so far nothing not great! Thank you Happy Birthday Chef!! Wonderful

    Great food. Great service. We have always enjoyed our experience at The Prescott. This time a "non-cash" service fee was added to our bill after the check was presented. I didn't see it posted anywhere when we arrived. It seemed a little tacky for a nice place like this to add that type of fee. If you want to be a cash only business, that's fine. If not, don't punish the customer with paying your transaction fee. Kinda lame I think.

    Several things we like about Prescotts, not noisy, great waiters and they do not rush you through dinner. We go out to enjoy dinner and not be rushed and out the door.

    Was seated immediately, restaurant was empty, it just had opened. Took a while for the waitress to get to us but that's ok. Food was good but the grouper was a little too salty. Food took a long time too for the restaurant to be so empty at the time we ordered, it shouldn't have taken that long. The bread and butter was good too. Overall good but not amazing.

    The special that we ordered was delicious and what we have grown to expect from The Prescott. However, it took 80 minutes to get it. The chef sent us complimentary drinks as an apology, which was appreciated. The facility also needs to have some maintenance done to keep up the ambience.

    Lunch with a friend. Service was perfect. She was kind attentive and delightful (Ariel?). She was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. Lunch was delicious (lobster mac and cheese/seafood risotto). Then ordered dessert (sweet potato cheesecake and bread pudding) both were delicious. I had the cheesecake 10 out of 10!!!! I ordered a lunch to go and the servers timing was spot on! We enjoyed it so much we’re going make it a monthly lunch date! See you soon!

    First time here and it was a nice surprise. Great entree and specials selections. Our party of 5 all had different entrees and we sampled all around. Service was a little on the slow side which caused some of the food to be not quite as hot as it should have been... but food quality and taste was excellent in all cases.

    We’ve been regulars for the past several years, but the last two times has solidified the one star raising. Nothing went right except this chicken wings app. It took 1 and half hours to get our main course, which was warm at best, greasy as hell and the risotto tasted as if it were boiled in old seafood guts…soggy and inedible. The staff made no excuses and no apologies, they know and don’t care. Very disappointed this favorite is now forever off the list.

    Not sure if it was just the night, (It was Friday 5:50pm) but it took just over an hour to get our food. We were taken straight to our table, ordered right away and food arrived around 7:05pm. We really liked our waitress - super sweet and apologetic about the wait time. They may not be providing any longer, but no bread was offered prior to the meal. The salad I was served was incorrect - it was the chopped salad vs. the garden salad. I didn't say anything - it was still good, just not fond of iceberg lettuce. My seafood risotto was amazing - they substituted potatoes for the risotto at my request. My husband ordered the Grilled Honey Suckle Chicken - he liked the chicken and potatoes but the summer veggies (Squash) were way overcooked. We would possibly try again - just maybe going at 5pm.

    Place looks very inviting, it’s in a quiet nice little place. Got seated pretty quickly but we did have reservations, I’d suggest making them for the weekends. Service was SLOW!!! they might be understaffed though it wasn’t crazy busy. Drinks took far too long 15mins for my 1st and 30 for my 2nd food was pathetically slow, the couple next to us waited for an hour before they got their appetizer. I’m not super patient but since it was my first time there I let it slide, I’d have walked out if it had been a place I frequently go to and the service was that bad. I can see making excuses or keeping patrons in the loop on the status/problems in the kitchen but the wait staff didn’t even do that. Salmon was good, tender not overly fishy smelling or cold. The honeysuckle chicken in the other hand was TERRIBLE!!!, Ive shot some hockey pucks in my life that were more tender than that chicken. When you have to saw through it with both hands, that’s never a good indication. The only thing decent on that plate were the potatoes. We were joking with the other couple across from us how horribly slow the service was, so that kept things from going even more downhill. Probably for all 4 of us. I was not impressed enough to ever want to return or recommend this spot, I guess a weekday might be a better time to go. Restaurants know they’re going to be busy on the weekends so they need to make adjustments, or at the very least keep people informed and hydrated if the kitchen isn’t producing food. I have noticed the reviews in the past months are mostly negative and I had hoped mine wouldn’t be as Kernersville needs more “good” restaurants. To bad because I did like the ambiance of the place besides the guy who kept coming from the sliding door in the corner( they must have wedding receptions or whatever goes on back there). One more thing I’ve noticed is there’s no responses from the owners or management on the reviews from patrons, which also makes me think they don’t care either.

    I initially submitted this review following a birthday dinner for a friend on NYE but it didn't seem to stick so I'll resubmit. We were seated right away in a back room which was nice for our party of seven. The staff informed us that the majority of the menu was unavailable that night to help ensure faster service, although that proved fruitless after we waited close to an hour for our food. Their interior design could use some updating and overall the food was just okay. For the price, it definitely wasn't worth it. Save yourself the disappointment and book a table at Print Works or Green Valley Grill for the price.

    The Prescott is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always exceptional as is the service and ambiance. Christmas Eve dinner there was very nice with soft music playing in the background and a holiday atmosphere. I had their special, roast duck breast, which was absolutely delish! We have been there for Lund and dinner and it is always good food and good prices. We highly recommend The Prescott.

    I am a big fan of Prescott. My sister and I go every time she visits (every 2 months). It’s quaint, friendly, local and has tasty food at a fair price. Our last visit in October, we noticed the dining room was lacking attention- paint chipping, dust bunnies, little things. When we visited last week we noticed that again. This trip the food was not up to par. The club (our favorite) was meh at best. It was a disappointment. We are debating about continuing with our tradition of visiting here on each of her visits. We want to continue our patronage, but the food and ambiance have to step up to where it was in the spring. So sad. I hope the owners will take this note to heart.

    Truly the worst dining experience. Will never go back. They had a 85 cleanliness score and it’s just filthy in there. Took 15 minutes to even have water brought. A failure on every level.

    I’ll start with the good. We ordered cocktails which came to our table quickly. We then ordered the lobster dip which was fabulous! We only got small salads as entrees. Husband had the chopped salad and I had the cauliflower salad. They both were excellent and portion was perfect. We then ordered 1 slice of cream brûlée cheesecake and I ordered a decaf coffee. It took quite a while to get the cheesecake but it arrived without the coffee. Our server said it was being made and would be out soon. We began to eat the cheesecake which was divine. The coffee didn’t show up until after the cheesecake had been devoured. They would have been so good together. The main problem was the sanitation grade. Had I seen it prior to being seated, I would not have stayed. I will go back but only after an improved score.

    We love the Precott and for my birthday, we decided to go there. what a disappointment. they had obviously over booked and understaffed for the christmas rush. we wont go there anytime around a holiday or other special day (Valentines) every again. They just werent prepared.

    We always like the food here. BUT, this past experience obliterated any good experiences . We arrived ar 630 pm , waited quite a while for a server and drinks. Finally drinks came and my martini was watered down from sitting , we ordered . Of course, they were out of featured vegetable and a speciality dessert. Following a long wait the meals came and one of our dinners was only like warm . I know help can be an issue but this seems out there. Probably won’t go back !
