Fabulous gourmet pub, lovely decor & delicious food. Each meal was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The service during lockdown has been amazing.

Stunning meal. Devilled kidneys and game pudding was fantastic.

As on our previous visits the choice and quality of the food stands out. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly whilst giving excellent service. The choice of wine is good too. We just made our trip before everything needs to close down as we go into Tier 3. We will be back as soon as we can.

Amazing, very delicious sunday lunch, large portions great service and the apple, orange and cranberry crumble is the best thing I've eaten!

We came to the Red Lion on the recommendation of a friend. It did not disappoint and a return visit will be planned soon. We chose to have the fixed price menu and the variety of dishes offered was good the potions ample and the service exceptional.

With the COVID 19 restrictions one always wonders how a venue wii cope and apply the rules. Adequate provision has been made to make everything safe. We (being a party of only 2) we’re able to sit inside but there was a covered outside area with infrared heaters. The people sitting out there seemed comfortable even during the rain storm that occurred on our visit were adequately protected from the adverse weather.

The whole area was very welcoming and we could just imagine how it would be on a balmy summers evening sitting outside.

Really nice lunch with a good selection and ample portions. Reasonably priced wine.

My one criticism is that the vegetables for Sunday lunch were raw
We had two small bowls the swede dish was good but they served 1 carrot and 1 parsnip for two people with the broccoli and sprouts
Such a shame as the meat was divine - i should have told them but I did not as we just wanted a nice meal and then home
We will go again as the place is lovely and food is normally great

Very good service and accommodating during the Covid situation - all secure and socially distanced.

Had the roast - slightly dry Yorkshire pud but that was the only very minor complaint. Would go again / recommend.

We had our first meal out since second lockdown and it was a fabulous experience. We chose lunchtime special which was very good value and the food was great. We felt very safe which the measures in place and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We look forward to our next visit.

Can't fault anything about The Red Lion, they get it right every time. Lots of choice of restaurants and pubs around Chobham and the surrounding villages and The Red Lion in my opinion is in a league of its own. Friendly staff, excellent food and a great atmosphere!

Lovely meal, staff amazingly accommodating, they let us have food from the lunchtime menu in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning.

Been here before mid September. This time for lunch. Had the 3 course menu. Delicious starter which was seafood chowder. Main course salmon fillet with veg. Pud was a scrummy crumble. All of a high order
Very quiet which I suppose was good in the covid. Served by the owner. Only mistake was getting the wrong bill which some less observant could have paid. That error would have cost me £20 but very quickly put right with apology. We can all make mistakes.

Staff are friendly and greet you upon arrival. New menu. Sweet potato mushroom gnocchi was amazing. Lack of vegetarian and vegan choices. The Cauliflower steak has gone! Dessert selection limited. Only dessert I fancied was their lunch time crumble, but was then put off as it contained pieces of orange. For non vegan/vegetarians. there is a huge list of meat dishes. Looking forward to returning to the RL over the weekend. PS, please open Mondays

There for a late Sunday lunch and had 1 roast pork and 1 roast lamb. Both meats were very good quality and not in the least the end of the day offerings you get somewhere. Five different side vegetables, crisp roasties and a giant crisp Yorkshire. Only the truly hungry will have space for dessert. Seem to have cracked Covid. Tables sufficiently spaced but retains a good atmosphere and staff are careful but still friendly. Service if anything slightly too quick, especially given the size of the main, but still wouldn't have managed dessert even if we'd had an hour gap.

I've lived in the area for 10 years, and never been to this pub/restuant before. Firstly, going through the outside area, it looks fantastic. Really impressive and can see me coming back in the summer.

Food however, appears a little dated. Event from the red crocodile covered menu which basically has steak on it. It has so much potential, but needs to really liven it up. If it followed a Hawksmoore style, I think that could really work. Have some pre-dinner nibbles, with champagne - then crack on with starters. The food itself was pretty good, but I did leave feeling disappointed. So much potential, not fully executed.

We have eaten at the Red Lion before and this visit lived up to out expectations again. The service is friendly and safely managed. The food was excellent - good portions, highest quality and very well presented. We’ll be back.
