The Reel Seafood & Grill
Tre, was amazing, food was amazing and inviting atmosphere.
Our server greeted us with her announcement that she was sick. Timing of the meal was terrible; our soup course and our salads literally showed up at the same time. My fish was only marginally edible; not quite fishy enough to justify asking the restaurant to comp it, but nevertheless very unpleasant. My husband's fish was not as bad as mine, but definitely not outstanding and very poor value for this price point. Soups were okay but not outstanding.
Food and service was great.
Fish was overcooked. Enchiladas were a little dry. They serve tap water that has a strong taste.
Service was great. Everyone liked their food. Would definitely return.
It was my husband and my 35th anniversary. Our server Tre, was who, made it a memorable experience. He was professional and fun. We were a little surprised to have our margaritas served in a rock glass (that was different). Our reservation was at 2 in the afternoon on a Monday and we were told they were out of cherries and the pecan crusted salmon (never experienced that at an "upper scale" restaurant). The Reel Fondue appetizer was very good. The salad was fresh. My beef sirloin was tough, but they took it back and brought me a rib eye cooked to perfection. The bread was a step above a hot dog bun and my asparagus was stringy. The best part of the meal was the appetizer and the redfish ponchartrain sauce I ordered for my steak (at an addition charged). However, when I asked for a little more sauce for my to go leftover steak, I was charged again for it. There were four of us and we spent over $200.00 and I have never experienced this from an establishment which considered itself "upper scale." I will probably go there again, if for nothing else except the drinks and appetizer, and I'll bring a proper glass for my margarita.
Delicious shrimp and grits. The salad was a little over dressed. We’ll be back for sure.
First time to have weekend brunch here, although we've enjoyed many dinners at the Reel. The entrees were prepared beautifully and were delicious. It appeared that they were a little short staffed, which slowed service a bit. Otherwise, a delightful Sunday morning brunch.
We had an exceptional experience here! Thank you Frank for going above and beyond to make our evening special. The food was amazing.

The food is always awesome as well as the service. I enjoy going to the restaurant for brunch with my family and date night with my husband.
Service was good by a young staff. The food was alright but the quality wasn’t quite like you get at other restaurants in this price range. Our fish was cooked properly but the spices and sauces seemed a little heavy handed to me. It was good overall so if you haven’t eaten here before, give them a try.
Our first visit to the Reel Seafood & Grill and we were very pleased. The menu is very interesting with entrees for all. Beverages were plentiful and moderately priced. The wine list was adequate. We plan to return.
We always have gone for dinner which was excellent and is excellent but as far as a Sunday brunch it was terrible I ordered the eggs crab benedict it was not good at all . The egg was thin crab cake was fried to to dry and there was about maybe one half of a teaspoon of hollandaise on top of the egg. It was one of the worst eggs benedict sauce ever eaten. And I wanted everything to be special because it was my boyfriend's birthday can't say much for his. he said it was all right thank God , but I would not recommend Sunday brunch to anyone and I'm going to stick with dinner that's excellent thank you for your time yours sincerely Sandy Dorn
Food was very good. Hot and tasty. A little pricey but I would still go back.
Fabulous food. The lobster bisque is heavenly. My husband and I had snapper and mahi and both were very tasty. Portions were large enough to take some home where they earned more great reviews by our son who ate the leftovers. Dani was a very attentive wait staff.
Great atmosphere, definitely going back.
Our server did a great job of getting the orders for my grandchildren placed and served.
They were not prepared to seat us at the reservation time. We were basically treated as if we walked in and waited on a table. It was unclear how they even knew who confirmed our reservation thru open table. I recommended to them to postpone using opentable until they can better manage reservations.
Food was great. Bar was not stocked that well. No Weller bourbon or Wild Turkey and had to settle for Jameson, which i like. Waitress was great. Food portions were right on. Seamed like everyone cleaned their plate and we did not have to roll out the door. Prices were a little north of where i think they should be, but we will be back.
The food was fresh, beautiful, perfectly cooked and so delicious! We enjoyed our server, CeCe - she was attentive and fun to interact with.
Father’s Day Dinner was exceptional! My daughter had not dined at the Reel and was very pleased. We will make it a regular daddy/daughter date location!
Food choices and quality were very good. The experience was only diminished by the very spotty, slow and sometimes non existent waiter. Had to ask for Silverware and for drink refills.
Excellent food, wonderful service. A bit pricey for the portions, but well worth a try!
The service was excellent but the food was just average. The highlight of the meal is their shrimp cocktail appetizer jazzed up with spicy sauce, avocados and pickled vegetables. My husband ordered a wedge salad and added blackened shrimp, for the price point, it was mediocre. I had the crawfish platter, the crawfish were very small and the breading overtook the flavor of the crawfish. The dirty rice was very spicy and slightly over cooked. All in all it was average at best and a bit overpriced. We won’t be going back again.
Loved our waiter Michael
We will be back
Made open table reservations, but the only seating available was in the crowded noisy bar. We were celebrating our anniversary and it was such close quarters that we might as well have been at the same table. Ordered coconut shrimp appetizer. Came out almost burnt, I opened one up to see the inside and to my surprise the shrimp was extremely tiny - almost no flesh at all. All breading. Manager took off bill. Salmon salad was good. Will definitely not order shrimp there again.
Solid food a little overpriced. Wait staff almost too attentive for our liking. Constantly interrupted our conversation to check in which at times was completely unnecessary to do so.
Outstanding food with outstanding service. One of our favorites.
Fried oysters were not done in the middle. Batter was still uncooked. Stuffed crab was not good.
Fried shrimp were good.
Overall was good, but miss the Spring Branch location and the pick two or pick three lunch menu. Prices are comparable to McAdoos but not as high of quality and atmosphere.
The waitress got everything wrong from my drink to my dinner. My fries were old and cold. The shrimp cake, which should have been a crab cake, was disappointing. They ended up refunding our money for my dinner. Will never go back!
After reviewing the menu on line I was very excited about the dinner options. This was our first time here and although everyone was very nice we won't go again. The floor was dirty, the drink menu was sticky and my husbands menu had mold smears in the inside. Both his food and my sons food was only slightly warm.
The food was excellent, service great. Overall experience was outstanding. I've dined here before and services always good.
While is was a little crazy being Mother’s Day and lunchtime, the food was delicious. Our waiter was a little frazzled but that didn’t stop him from being kind and friendly with us. Overall the entire experience was a prefect Mother’s Day lunch and we will definitely be long term customers!
For mother's day and how busy you were the food and service was excellent tha8 you.
All the staff, including hostess and manager, were very friendly and accommodating considering it was a very busy Mother's Day for them.
Our waitperson was awesome! Sometimes when you get your food you realize you need something else, but you don't realize it until the waitperson is walking away. And then you do something like raise your hand and go, Ummm, miss... And sometimes the waitperson just keeps walking away from your table. We had two instances of someone at our table realizing they needed something after the waitperson had started walking away, and when they made a sound, she turned back and cheerily asked, what can I get for you? She was great, and we tipped 25% because of it!
We have been going here since they opened a few years ago and the food has always been excellent. This visit my wife’s fish was over cooked and tough. Maybe we just hit a bad night or a new cook. I will definitely give them another chance
Apparently having a reservation doesn’t equate to being attended to in a timely manner. Once we flagged down a waitress and asked for assistance, the experience only got worse. She reluctantly offered to help. The food was not any better than the service. The fried zucchini was very greasy. The grilled fish was tasteless and over-cooked. We are not difficult patrons in the least bit so it was very disappointing to have such a bad experience at a place we once enjoyed.
This is a MUST stop dining experience. The signature appetizers and dishes speak for themselves. My wife and I drive an hour out of our way if we can plan to be anywhere near because we literally crave their cuisine. The Creamy Lobster Bisque is exquisite. The "Hand-Tossed Shrimp Cocktail" is an explosion of flavor fusion. We enjoy the "Stuffed Flounder" and the "Mahi Boudreaux". Their sides are all amazing and perfect portions. You will want to come back again and again.
