Amazing Italian food! Best Fra Diavalo ever - chock full of crab meat and shrimp at an incredible price. Best Italian food in NJ! Servers are personable and make an enjoyable experience. A GEM! We will be back weekly.
We came into the restaurant and they had an event that took up the entire dining room. We sat at the bar and when their presentation was done they all got real loud and descended on the bar. We then sat in the back (private room) so we could enjoy our meal with our friends. I think in consideration of the regular folks dining (which was us), the management should think twice about keeping the restaurant open when it is this loud and disruptive.
Great food; ok service- slow with bread; value good; VERY noisy and a little too bright; seated right away
Revere is old world Italian....pasta is amazing and meat dishes are outstanding as well. I liked the ambiance and the accordion player was a nice touch and much enjoyed. Newly added Valet Parking was greatly appreciated on a rainy evening
Great comfy atmosphere. Sat in bar with some regulars that were great fun. We even had a sing a long when they made me sing “Leaving On A Jet Plane” after we played impromptu song trivia. Food was great. Home made Caesar was just like mine! Steak was great. Shrimp cocktail was great.
Great food & service!
The service and food very good. The restaurant was crowded and loud. I felt like I was shouting to be heard across the table. Overall, we enjoyed a nice meal and very pleasant staff.
Great date night experience
Seated exactly on time. Everyone was very friendly. Great food. Definitely will be back.
My husband and I, along with friends, enjoyed another fabulous dinner last week! The Revere's food is amazing and our waitress was incredible! We love dining here! Great food along with attentive and friendly service always provide for an enjoyable experience. The Revere offers a vast array of live music which we also enjoy! Love this restaurant!!!
Great food, great service, bar had a two piece band that was very good also.
The garlic bread & seasoned chicken dish are my favorite!
4 of us had a 6:30 reservation on Saturday night. The couple sitting at our table would not leave so we had to wait almost 1/2 hour for our table. Normally this would be a problem, but the hostess and owner could not have been nicer and made our wait truly pleasant. Once we got seated, the food was truly outstanding, and huge portions. This was our first visit and it quickly became one of my favorite restaurants. It was the perfect example of turning a bad situation into a great customer experience. I highly recommend The Revere Restaurant.
Excellent all around and loved The Danny Lynch Project!!!🥰
Valentine's Day dinner for my wife and I. We were seated right on time and our waitress did a great job in giving us time to decide what we wanted. I had a great appetizer consisting of mussels, clams, jumbo shrimp and calamari in a fra diavolo red sauce and it was out of this world good, along with a very nice portion of seafood. My wife had a fantastic pork chop, while I had the branzino and shrimp along with a side order of spinach and all was excellent. Our waitress checked in once to see how we were doing and did so timely. Great job.
We will no doubt return.
We were there on Valentine’s Day, and they were very busy. We did have to wait 1/2 hour past our reservation to be seated.
But the food was worth the wait.
The food was good but the room was cold and the service average. The flatware and decor was below what I expected for the price. The table was tiny and the had no place for us to hang coats so I was uncomfortable.
But....had music playing through the speakers, with the lovely man who comes in to play the accordion (who also sang this night), and then people trying to talk with their dinner companions (over the speaker music and the accordion player). Needless to say, quite noisy.
Food was simply prepared with a good presentation and tasted very good. Would go again.
It was our anniversary and they brought us a champagne split. Everyone was great. We had a relaxing night enjoying the dinner. Food was excellent and our waiter Anthony was perfect!
Too bright in dining area. Maybe dim the can lights in the far right dining area.
This is my third or fourth time eating here and each has been more disappointing than the one before. Although the portions are large, the food is simply boring and lacks nuance. Entrees are heavily sauced and the Caesar salad was ridiculously overdressed and had way too much garlic in it. Chicken rollatini was like rubber and the fried calamari had a weird sweet sauce on it. Our waitress was lovely, if a bit slow, but who were the very casually-dressed (sports jerseys & sneakers) men who were assisting by bringing food to tables? It was odd. Won't be back anytime soon.
Look at the 5 stars we rated it, nuff said :-) Ok, we need at least 50 characters to post, here it is.
Birthday dinner, was a nice meal. Restaurant was not crowded but staff seemed to stretched thin. Food was very good. We continue to enjoy this a special occasion destination.
Food and service were excellent, I would say the only problem I had was with the temperature in the restaurant. The hostess was kind enough to adjust the temperature since the AC was set to 72, it was a warm day in January but not that warm...but a waitress in the place kept adjusting it back to her desire. It was very cold since we were sitting under the vent. Other than that food is extremely good, our waitress was excellent, restaurant is much more cheerful inside with new decor. Have sat at the bar a few times and the bartenders are top notch and friendly as well!
Since new ownership took over, the restaurant has improved. Our food was delicious, however, service was slow and a bit interrupted due to a large party upstairs. One of the entrees was missing it's side accompaniment, but the food was still delicious! We love the Revere and definitely recommend it for it's food (and entertainment on certain nights!
We had an appetizer, meal and dessert and everything was great. We sat at the bar before sitting at the table and the bartender was very helpful with my wife’s wine selection. The antipasto appetizer had multiple cheeses and meats and was very good. The waiter was great, attentive with refills, fixed a wobble table.
I strongly recommend the Revere Restaurant to everyone who wants an outstanding meal along with outstanding service! Our waiter was Peter, we've had him before and he goes above and behind each and every time! If you haven't eaten here yet, you're truly missing out!!
Food and service were great, we had a terrific time!
I was just sorry to hear that our favorite server, Taylor ,is no longer with you.
Would be 5 stars across but we were seated 35 minutes late but being New Year's Eve, I assume it was customers staying too long after dinner. We had 6 people and to a person, all said the food was as good as it gets.
The server Gerri was wonderful and very professional an asset to Revere!
The food was excellent. Crab cake was incredible. It lived up to it's name! The Veal osso bucco was also amazing as was the Black Sea Bass.
Additionally, the wait staff was fantastic. Working together and efficient.
Prices were increased significantly for New Years Eve and the menu was limited. While prices are expected to rise for a holiday, more than doubling seems excessive.
Service and food AMAZING!
Had a terrible time celebrating Christmas Eve at Revere. I had made the reservation literally weeks in advance and followed up with a phone call to the restaurant requesting that we wanted to be seated in the historic front room. Arrived to find they had booked us into the room of the bar that had no atmosphere, seated us next to a table of 12 that included 4 loud, obnoxious kids who would tell, run around the table bumping into our chair. Restaurant refused to seat is elsewhere. Spending $200 to be in a cafeteria atmosphere sucked. The food was excellent but the experience will knock this restaurant off our list for any future dinners. That's too bad because Revere was always my favorite restaurant. We always celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and took out of town guests there.
Food was very good, kitchen service was very slow. Slow on a Sunday night.
We had such an amazing dinner tonight for our anniversary! Everything from the food to the service was perfect! It was our first time dining here & we will definitely be back with family & friends! Thank you for making our night out so enjoyable!!
