The Savoy at 21c
Interesting menu, not a list of dishes served at every other restaurant. Each item had a twist and the flavors were unique. Each dish we had was a delight.
Great experience and meal like I expected. Thanks
Love the vibe. We decided to go the first night of the D.I.S.H. Dining in support of hospitality. (where you pick your plate made by a local artist and 100% of the proceeds go to The One Fair Wage Emergency Fund for all the hospitality workers in the area who hit hard times during COVID) plus 10% of your food costs as well. LOVE SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY.
-BLUE CRAB BEIGNET so delicious and airy served with a salsa verde butter. To be honest I didn’t need the butter.
-BACON WRAPPED CHERRY PEPPERS filled with an herb cream cheese. Let me just say. You will slide out of your seat speechless with all the flavors of amazement that hit your palette from this little guy. You’ll want to savor every bite. Oh so perfect...
-SMASH BURGER it was delicious the bun came out gorgeous with a little toasted color, so good hands down. And the fries every single one was made with the perfect crisp outside and a little soft inside and lightly seasoned. (You might ask for more ketchup if you dip your fries, because they don’t bring out much)
Side note I ordered the half burger (1 patty) my BF ordered the full (2 patties +bacon) he was in heaven over on his side of the booth. I’m pretty sure his eyes rolled back in his head a few times.
It was a great evening to get out have some cocktails unwind supper the community and eat till our bellies were content.
We will be back for the prime rib but that’s only available on the weekends.
You won’t be disappointed! Plus if you enjoy art you should go a couple min early and check out the lobby. They have some really cool exhibits.
Wonderful food, service, and ambience! Great location downtown with original artwork everywhere.
The Savoy is an amazing dining experience. We took friends for the Easter brunch, and everyone’s food was delicious and delightful. The staff aims to please, and the culinary expertise coming from the kitchen is beyond compare.
Our meal was delicious, blue crab beignets to start followed by the best Prime Rib I've had in years! The ambience, decor and history of the location combine for a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend!
Very nice menu and a bar that knows how to make a Paper Plane cocktail.
Drink recommendations were great choices the “margarita flavored one” was our favorite. Went to celebrate the new mommy card! Gurls night of course. She got the scallops which were good. I wanted the beef but it’s made with thyme and I’m allergic so I settled for the chicken with sprouts. Great choice very tender and juicy! Service was good. Ambiance was well lit not too dark but building is a bit odd if you like Van Gogh type stuff...overall I would prob not eat here again. But I would recommend it for a date night, grab a drink kind of experience.
Exceptional service from experiences wait staff. Not a huge menu but a variety of intriguing options. The food was top-notch.
This visit reminded us of why, when we visit in KC, we always book an evening at the Savoy - it never disappoints!! Great food. Beautiful atmosphere. Terrific service. Excellent Covid measures in place.
The food was delicious. We had the scallops and the chicken. Portions were small for the price. Drinks were also good, but small. Loved the ambience. Wait staff were great.
Beautiful, historic building. Great service. Food was amazing, but small portions. Cocktails were awesome. Enjoyed the experience.
Disappointed in the proportion sizes. I know it is Covid but $35 for (2) scallops is ridiculous.
Very little selection, tiny portions, way too expensive and left hungry despite an appetizer and entree. Pitiful....
The restaurants at 21C are known for their local chefs and good quality, tasty food. This one held up to the quality and the tasty. However, the portions, for the price, were very small. My chickpea panisse was more like an amuse bouche.
Service and drinks great. Food was good. Chicken great scallops ok and over priced for only two scallops
Liked the aesthetic of the place for sure. Menu was alright, nothing super attention grabbing for me but pretty good. The Brussels sprouts were excellent. Worth checking out, good date spot
The perfect way to end the week is another visit to the Savoy for dinner. From the cocktails, starters to the entrees, every thing was excellent. As usual, the staff was prompt, professional and personable. Thank you for another great experience!
Amazing cocktails, inventive cuisine and great portion sizes. Servers and bartenders friendly and made some great recommendations
The portion sizes were very small for the main courses, which surprised me because of the price. Also they would not let us split an appetizer. The waitress was nice but we never got a refill on our waters the entire meal. The ambiance was cool but we will most likely not be returning.
Best burger in town! Appetizers and entrees were delicious. Tasty cocktails.
Loved the atmosphere! The cocktails were fantastic, but overall would not recommend the valentine's dinner. We had heard great reviews, and maybe that was part of why my expectations were not met. Coming from Des Moines and was excited but left disappointed. Scallops are one of my favorite foods, but it was hard not to gag whrn eating them as the green olives had an especially peculiar taste. Ended up kind of sick the next days from them. The waitress was nice, but focused on prepping other tables rather than serving us. Probably won't be back, but it was a good experience nonetheless.
Our server Megan (and the service all around from the entire staff) was outstanding. Food is always delicious here and the drinks were fabulous too. Thank you for an amazing meal and evening! Can't wait to come back.
Great ambience, great food.
Very disappointing. Ambiance is nothing like the old Savoy. 3 crab/andouille Rangoon (for 2 people someone is getting shorted) Filling is salty enough but putting a miso sauce on top makes it more so. Prime rib was cooked perfectly med rare and a good size portion but horseradish sauce was bland w/o the horseradish kick. Extremely limited entrée offerings. Only fish dish was trout; no seafood like the Savoy used to be known for. Most disappointing was the complete lack of veggies. Except for bacon wrapped cherry peppers as a starter, not even anything ala Carte. For $48 for the large prime rib, got the meat and 3 very tiny looked like baby potatoes. No salad even included. Could have at least thrown in something green for that cost. Great I suppose if you're on the Keto diet. Bleu cheese in the olives for the martini was so dry as to be inedible. Would not go back
It took forever to get our food and drinks. Our meals were ice cold. The beef had so much fat we could barely chew it.
First visit to the Savoy. We read the history with several president's visiting and took notice of Truman's booth. We enjoyed all the small plates that we shared. Unique escargot wrapped in pasta. Chicken served with fun pickled vegetables and ranch. Rangoons and bacon wrapped peppers were fantastic! We will be back.
My wife and I like variety in our restaurant selection and we rarely return to one in a short interval, but I could eat at the savoy weekly. We tried several menu items and they were all perfectly executed with a multitude of flavors and textures in each dish. The bacon wrapped cherry peppers were incredible. The staff and atmosphere were spot-on as well. It’s quiet, cozy and comfortable and they leave you alone until you need something.
Disconcerting experience-good,attentive waiter with good prime rib but sides complex with conflicting flavors-struggling due to COVID-had limited menu and no bread-told us new chef coming soon
Amazing atmosphere, a little pricey and some menu options weren’t available unfortunately. Also we requested the presidents booth, which they were unable to accommodate on a Tuesday at 7. A little disappointed.
The food was eclectic and tasty.
Always good. Always an excellent Restaurant week choice.
The food was good, a little too much pickling on the sides for my taste. Ambiance was great. Beautiful location.
My husband and I dined at the Savoy at 21c during Restaurant Week. It was fabulous start to finish. Everyone we encountered was excellent and did their part and then some to make sure our experience was top notch. Our server Megan, knew the menu inside and out and was well versed on the KC restaurant scene so we had great conversation. She made excellent menu suggestions that were spot on. Since we couldn't have everything that evening, we tried to get back the next evening to sample the rest of the menu. This is "to die for food" in a can't miss atmosphere with top notch service. I'm busy making a reservation for after Restaurant Week!
Great restaurant week venue. The service was impeccable eland the food presentation impressive. Savoy paid close attention to all safety protocols and made the guest feel welcome. A wonderful experience.
It was everything that I had hoped for. Greeted personably, quiet booth, charming original looking decor, prompt service, knowledgeable about drinks and food, amazing cocktail, magazine perfect plates and oh the flavors. One of my top recent meals.
Such a talented chef! The meal was outstanding! I highly recommend!
Excellent choice! The service was outstanding - the tiniest bit slow to start bringing out cocktails - but our server more than made up for it. The drinks were expertly mixed, the mocktails for my daughters were exciting, and the amuse-bouche was tasty. But the real show-stopper was the tortiglioni. Every dish served was excellent. We'll be back.
If I could give each section an extra star, I would!
The food was fantastic and so was the service. Will definitely be dining at The Savoy again.
