The Smack Shack

Had such a good experience on the patio. Felt safe with the ventilation and the lobster and shrimp was so good. We brought our two-year-old and they did a kids macaroni for him and even brought him a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. We were all happy campers.

A little pricey, but lovely experience! Great service and great outdoor experience!

Delicious food but expensive. We shared an entree and had 2 beers and 2 wines...$68!

We stopped for pick up right after the latest emergency order. Staff were AMAZING!

The Smack Shack wasn’t great. I can only assume that the positive food reviews are only from the people who haven’t had better food elsewhere? The lobster Mac n cheese was not cheesy and bland. The other items were decent but not something we’d want to go back for. The service was pretty good. The drinks were watered down. We did like the ambiance of the restaurant but nothing really stood out that would make us want to return. This was a one and done for us.

It was so fun to be out downtown. The outdoor seating was so warm and comfortable, you should be able to sit out there all winter long. Best patio I have been on!

Very nice experience. Patio is nicely heated. Great outing in the winter.

Service today 15 Nov. 2020 regretfully had only 1/4 of my expected # of table-touches to check on how everything tasted, my son needed soda refills and we all needed water. The lobster bisque is KICKASS and you should buy it. Anything from the “Boil” menu in the center of the menu is to die for. My daughter-in-law had the warm “Connecticut Style” lobster roll (sandwich) with fries—the fries don’t taste good with no flavor and only spicy spice. Overall, we all thought it was quite overpriced.

The heated patio is amazing! It was 36 degrees and drizzling but we were warm enough to take off our coats. The Connecticut role and lobster Mac were outstanding, per usual.

Took my nephew for a proper lobster meal. He loved it, including the bib! I had the scallops, which were great. I’m still thinking about the squash has and how to recreate it at home. Husband had the lobster sandwich; while tasty he felt like it was missing a seasoning component (maybe Old Bay?). We ordered the red velvet cake for dessert - I thought that it fell way short of expectations. My only disappointment this trip.
Smack Shack does a great job at ensuring guests are COVID safe. Would dine here again!

Overpriced.

Have travel to quite a few cities and haven’t found any seafood this good. This time I had the lobster sandwich. Made with real lobster and ohhh so delicious. Fries had a great spice flavor. No catchup needed for me. A very nice lunch and or dinner spot. Been here about 4times and have never been disappointed.

Excellent as always! The service was great, food is always great. Patio was warm even in November.

Always good food and service, but also a special treat in being able to dine outside in nice weather.

I went here for brunch and the brunch menu on open table IS NOT the same as in person. It’s way less items. I ended up ordering lunch which was good. The Beignets were FIRE tho! Must order those

Restaurant wasn't properly staffed - our waitress was busy and checked in much too infrequently (we tracked her down at point to get another round of drinks).

Food was outstanding,seating was immediate and we were there early and they were busy. Sarah out waitress was outstanding!!! I would give her 10 stars if I could. Wonderful evening!!!!

First time and will return. Sausage was the best I EVER had!!!!!

Was excited to eat here but got lobster roll that was overdone, underseasoned, and rubbery. Bummer!

Food was incredible, Server was the best I've ever had! His name was Nick. He was amazing! Love this place! They were also flexible when we were running late for our reservation. Drinks are amazing as well! Can't recommend enough.
