The Stag & Huntsman

We love The Stag and Huntsman, as ever the food was delicious, the staff friendly and attentive. And a bonus visit from Griffin delighted to my daughters. Can’t wait to go back.

Charming South African staff who went the extra mile. I had a glass of mulled wine 🍷 which was delicious followed by loin of venison & my sister had a very large breast of duck. Both dishes were outstanding followed by mixed winter berry crumble. We were made to feel extremely welcome. A most enjoyable lunch. We shall be back. Dougie Simpson

The food was delicious. The service was quick and really friendly.

I booked online which was exceedingly easy. We turned up on time for our reservation. Controlled access and very safe. As we visited on a Sunday roast beef was our choice.
Served promptly and very tasty. Compliments to the chef and staff. Great place to visit if in the area as lovely country walking in the area.

Lovely atmosphere conscious of Covid restrictions, delicious food, welcoming fire.

Charming old world pub, but as it was the first day after lockdown relaxation it was very quiet. Food excellent.

We were very impressed with the food. The environment and ambience was lovely. We had been for an afternoon walk and planned at lunch at this venue. As a vegetarian, I had a lot of choice. This was a welcomed and warm surprise! Good food indeed. Thank you for having us.

This is a lovely village pub in a very beautiful village. There's plenty of parking space just outside, and it's a great base for a walk down the valley or up the hill into the golden woods. The staff are friendly, welcoming and they work very hard to keep everyone safe. There is a large marquee in the garden, so everyone can enjoy really good food and drink with excellent service at a reasonable price. Thank you Stag & Huntsman, we do hope that we can come back in a few weeks' time!

Very cosy pub for Sunday lunch but the service was slow

They never fail to impress with the food @ the stag and huntsman - we had the mixed roast, top drawer.

Perfect Sunday country pub lunch with a wonderful menu and friendly staff, highly recommend!

visited for breakfast. We were quickly shown to our table and menus appeared promptly. Service was friendly and efficient .Ordered sausage sandwich which came with a nice array of sauces, had a second cup of rather good coffee. Definitely worth a return visit

This is a great dining pub with a decent menu and very pleasant service. The food was tasty and nicely presented and the beer good. It was a great place to have a mid walk lunch - we walked up along the Thames from Henley.

Lovely historical pub in the quaint village of Hambleden, offering local beers and produce. Had the venison stew, which was lovely!

Excellent meal - what you want a pub to be but so rarely is. Good COVID measured as well, we felt safe.
