The Tarratine

From walking in, being greeted, our coats checked, and seated the evening started out wonderfully and got better from there. The service staff was friendly and very competent. The food was exquisite and extremely delicious. The executive chef came out and checked on how things had gone. We finished off our fine dinner with a tasty desert, a glass of Port, and fresh coffee. The interior of the restaurant was decorated superbly and the ambiance is hard to beat. Definitely one of the best dining venues in Bangor Maine.

We were offered a quiet table for two in a large room with just one other couple well socially distanced. It was my birthday and the table was decorated with a gold balloon. After dinner I was treated to a tasty creme brûlée desert.

Had a great dinner with my husband. It was out first time out since the start of the pandemic and the safety protocols and distance between tables made us feel so reassured. We had the pork belly/scallop appetizer and I actually dreamed about the sauce that night. I had the lamb and it was cooked perfectly and the risotto was SO good. The big pieces of mushroom and shallot were really satisfying.

Had the lamb, it was cooked perfectly, my sister had the beef filet , also perfectly cooked. It was her birthday & they had a balloon on out table and treated her to dessert.

New Year’s Day dinner for my husband and myself. This is a very warm friendly elegant atmosphere. The chef is very creative and every meal is outstanding. This is our new favorite restaurant in Bangor Maine. Shout out to Kami the best server. Happy New Year. Thanks for providing safe dining experience.

The staff was very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The food was cooked just to our liking. We go to the Tarratine on all our special occasions. Kinda reminds us of the Old Pilots Grill. Keep up the good work.

Overall, excellent. The chef at this property is simply brilliant and the service is second to none.

We were very impressed with our whole evening. Because it was our anniversary they treated us to a dessert. Everyone was so nice and the food was exceptional.

We were looking for an experience while having supper after a day of Christmas shopping and this was exactly what we wanted! The building is beautiful, the service was FANTASTIC and the food and drinks were amazing. We cannot wait to go again!!!

The dinner was excellent. We had the whole room to ourself. The food was amazing as always. This is thr third time I have been, and I will be back again. Staff was super nice, waitress was also very helpfull, and polite.

We had a party of seven and were seated very comfortably in the library. Atmosphere was wonderful, we were allowed to tour the rest of the building which was newly decorated for Christmas and gorgeous. Our waiter was attentive and helpful with the menu choices and when the entrees came, we were all very happy with our choices- delicious! Drinks were great, as was dessert! We look forward to coming back in the warmer months for an evening on the rooftop bar and maybe in the game rooms! Highly recommended: amazing staff, atmosphere, food and drinks!

We went to The Tarratine to celebrate my Aunt’s 80th birthday because she had never been and she had wanted to go for years! The dining experience was OUTSTANDING...The staff gave special attention to EVERY detail making the celebration EXTRA special! We left feeling BLESSED we were able to make TREASURED memories at such a WONDERFUL place!!!!!

Outstanding once again! My wife and daughter got the Pork Loin. It was full of flavor, cooked to perfection and just wonderful. I had the Beef Tenderloin for Two. The Chef preps it in the kitchen and finishes it table side with a little show. The flavor and temp was absolutely delicious.

Had an excellent time as usual! We love going to the Tarratine! My Mom’s 70th was very special and the food was delish!

Kelsey, our server went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of the entire night as did the chef and hostess. This place is truly special and the one of a kind service we received tonight has us already planning our return the next time we find ourselves visiting the Bangor area! We will be telling all our friends and family to try The Tarratine because you won’t be disappointed!
