The Tavern at The Beekman Arms
This was a wonderful Mother's Day breakfast. Service was excellent in a lovely surroundings. My only suggestion is that the food items on the menu were a bit heavy for lunch. I addressed that by ordering two apps: their excellent French onion soup and an exceptional Caesar salad. An option for sandwiches would have been welcome.
Fantastic time with friends and great service! Definitely will go again!
Very nice time and dinner. Everything was very good and above expectations. We would return.
The food was exactly what we have come to expect at the Beek. But what in the World happened to their staffing? I’m assuming it’s related to Covid. Extraordinarily slow service. The wait staff was cheerful but it took way too long for our entrees and desserts.
The ambiance, service and food were all great. We will definitely make the trip back.
Wonderful historic ambience with modern comfort and great food and cocktails.
We have been dining at this restaurant since I am a kid, and I am 63 now! We live on Long Island, NY and wanted to dine at a special place for our 40th Wedding Anniversary, and we made the perfect choice! We got the table we requested, and the Manager Anna went above and beyond to make our evening perfect! Anna put a tapered candle at our table very elegant, and sent two glasses of champagne 🥂 to us too! She also took our picture. A candle was put in our Bananas Foster dessert too so we could make a wish!!
Service was fabulous Karen was our waitress very sweet and professional. Drinks and food just perfect. Thank you Tavern at Beekman Arms for making our Anniversary so special ❤️
We fully enjoyed our Sunday brunch here, and Ralph our waiter was awesome! The avocado toast was especially yummy!!
We went for brunch and there was not enough staff to accommodate the crowd. There was also a party going on at the same time so overall it was a little bit chaotic.
Food was scrumptious; well presented; staff superb; could have had more vegetarian options; Beer flight in the bar before dinner, tasty and memorable for the conversation.
the restaurant was excellent, outdoor dining on the lawn, great service. the food was excellent with a nice choice of entrees will go there again
Lovely tavern in a historic building! We had cocktails in the bar before dinner and the plexiglass dividers made us feel very safe. The host, Chase, was friendly, Charmaine, and made us feel like we were family.
Loved being here. The restaurant manager was on top of it all and it was nice speaking with her about the hotel. The staff was very cheery and we were well attending to. If you're in the tavern ask Edwardo for a Toasted Almond. He'll be sure to take care of you!
Not much to write about. It was simply a very Pleasant experience. Good all fashioned service!
Wonderful meal in an historic old tavern! The prime rib was outstanding and the whole evening was delightful!
1st time here and came because of the history. Ended up being seated in a glass enclosed indoor space on the front, of what appears to be, an added extension to the original building. It was certainly pleasant but next time I would ask to be seated in the Tavern which is where the low beams, dark wood floors and paneling resides with various artifacts from the 1700s can be found. Food was very good and more than enough. Service was excellent.
We had a much needed, last minute getaway! The room was spacious and well decorated. It included a private bath and a generous offered of sherry on the dresser. Dinner was amazing and our server Mary was bright and cheery. At our request she even treated us to some local ghost stories! We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning soon!
Nice place, nice ambiance. Good prices. It is still a bit "upstate" in that the willing staff is a bit lacking.
Over-easy eggs came over hard. I ordered a Bellini and the waitress looked a little deer in the headlights.............then she brought me a champagne.
I still recommend it but don't think you're downtown!!
Expected a little more from the service. Waiter was ok, needs a little more experience.
My husbands salmon was very well prepared, he loved it. I was disappointed with the filet mignon.
Always loved the Beekman and the Garden patio-the atmosphere is 5 star and very accommodating to seat you right away. But this is the second time we went and were disappointed (again), this time brunch. The Eggs Benny were cold, Bananas Foster French Toast was steaming hot and the Belgian waffle was soft, no Maple Creme Anglais and one (maybe 2) small sliced strawberries, barely warm, I asked for butter and they gave me 5 frozen pads. They seemed short staffed as it hard to find someone to help.
I would have given this 4 stars but the service was so slow and amateur that it put a real damper on our experience. I would definitely recommend they train their staff to be attentive. Our drinks were empty through our whole meal including dessert. Never one were we asked for a refill. I had to ask for the check twice upon which we finally received refills of our water.
Great place for lunch. Amazing atmosphere. Servers were very friendly and attentive.
Great good. Server Danny was very polite and met our needs.
The food was great, and the service was as well. My wife and I made the on line reservation and got a table right in the greenhouse. We also live not far and will be back and recommend.
Have you ever asked for an egg white omelette and you were told "we don't do that"? Well, I have now...how exactly can you make an omelette and NOT be able to just use the whites and not the yolks? I don't know whether it was a very arrogant chef or the server who just didn't want to be bothered talking to the chef, but they seriously wouldn't make my omelette with just egg whites. When we did get brunch, it just wasn't anything to write home about. We've been here in the past and had fantastic food, but that was a few years ago and obviously something's changed. Very disappointed.
Gorgeous atrium, delicious food, attentive staff, amazing experience!
Super easy to reserve online...
We had a wonderful brunch, met family from out of town. Table was safely distanced, felt relatively comfortable that proper pandemic restrictions were being followed. At one point someone in control of restaurant music decided we needed concert level Frank Sinatra, but we asked for it to be turned down, we were there for conversation, and our request was addressed immediately. Highly recommend.
Very good, lovely staff, had an excellent brunch (recommend the french onion soup, cheddar biscuits and gravy, and the wedge salad!).
Have been to the Beekman Arms many times for dinner. All meals are delicious & the service is great. I would highly recommend the restaurant. We were there recently for our 5-year anniversary and everything was wonderful. The food is good home cooked comfort food, or just a burger, salad, soup are all tasty! The staff, service & food! Yes, we will continue to support the Tavern at the Beekman Arms.
Delicious food, great service, cool vibe, pretty views. Plus FDR ate here one time!
Food was ok and came out luke warm. The waiters were excellent.
My husband and I went for a Valentine's Day meal. We were disappointed to find that they were still serving brunch at 2:00. The menu said they were serving brunch until 3. We asked the server if we could wait to look at the dinner menu. We were told the dinner menus wouldn't come out until 3:30 and the dinners would not be served until 4. I think we got there at the tail end of the brunch menu because the meat had obviously been sitting around drying out. We ordered the beef brisket hash, which was chunks of meat that came with potatoes and an egg. I have had their brisket before and it was fabulous. This was so dry it was like eating a bowl of beef jerky with chunks of potatoes and an egg on top. We were seated in the sunroom, which is always lovely, but I think our server kept forgetting about us. We have been here many, many times and have always loved it. We were both disappointed this time. The French onion soup was fabulous, and the desserts were good. I don't usually complain about food, but I did this time and we were fortunate enough to pay for only one of the meals, which was $18 each. Note to self: skip brunch at The Tavern at Beekman Arms.
My sons engagement with his fiance. Great brunch, champagne, a++
The service could have been better and the food was slow in coming out.
I can’t tell you anything, because it was close. Totally close. So we went to terrapin that is a restaurant on a church. Very good, different. Good service. American food. Steak sandwich excellent.
Great food (mostly classics with a nice range of options). Cozy environment, especially in the winter when the fireplace in the lobby is roaring. Friendly service. Always a favorite. Thank you!.
We also enjoyed the live instrumentalist. It added to our enjoyment of the evening.
