The Tavern at The Beekman Arms
Birthday celebration .
Lovely outdoor seating, great drinks and great food
This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is always a good experience.
Beautiful outdoor dining experience for Sunday brunch with live guitar player!
Considering how many staff members were on duty, the service was extremely poor. The food was fair. However, neither the soups, the appetizer, nor the entrees were hot when delivered. Our server was absent for the majority of our dining experience, and we overhead other tables commenting similarly.
Great atmosphere and good service. Food was just ok and not worth the price.
Cozy and quiet. We chose an evening when the restaurant was empty. It was to our benefit as we had exceptional service. Adrian our server was wonderful. We had a leisurely meal and everyone was accommodating and friendly.
Amazing waitstaff! Accommodated our party of two toddlers and our service dog comfortably inside at a private corner. Wonderful food and experience and we’ll definitely be back! PS: Try the bourbon cider!
We hope to see you back soon!
Loved everything, but especially the service. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Singing happy birthday to my husband was a nice touch!
Thank you for choosing us!
The food was average, yet overpriced. The service and ambience were good
Thank you for your feedback and we hope you try us again!
Food, service, atmosphere is just perfect. Always fun with good food and drink. Never disappointing.
Thank you for visiting!
Kinda tourist trappy- food ok, coffee bad, service is great but honestly you can do much better in Rhinebeck
I am sorry we did not reach your expectations, we hope you give us another try!
Beautiful dining room. Excellent staff. Great food. Totally recoomend.
Thank you for spending your evening with us!
Enjoyed the "historic" setting of this restaurant, and the variety of items on the lunch menu. Service was impeccable.
Wait staff is attentive, kind and not too chatty. My mussels were a little small but tasty sauce. It’s always nice to dine at the Beek!
I would have given 5 star across the board - I tried a new cocktail & really didn’t care for it .
Sept outdoor brunch was exceptional - wait staff very attentive - atmosphere outstanding . Tent for seating and live acoustic guitarist made it an ideal brunch .
Nice outside space considering the pandemic restrictions. We were greeted in a timely way, but afterwards service was very slow. New waitstaff was being trained so that might account for all the delays. Drinks came after 20 minutes. Food was very mediocre and not a good value for the price. Salad was bland and panini was dry, fries were warm not hot and overall it was disappointing. Will not return.
The food was overpriced for being so extremely bland. Our drinks took longer to come than our appetizers and we ordered drinks at least 10 minutes before the appetizers. Service was great, but would not return.
Food is hit or miss, you never know. Outside under the tent due to COVID the staff has all the safety protocols down to a science, an outstanding job! Made us feel very safe and comfortable. Better than anywhere else I have eaten - on both sides of the river. Food - very bland, needs salt and herbs when cooking. I had turkey sandwich pannini, the turkey meat was very bland. Had cranberry chutney (just cranberries, no nuts, orange peel, no sweetness - very tart and unpleasant). It also had brie and watercress, sandwich was not hot enough to melt the brie - taste was bland, bitter, tart, and funky from the brie - it needed so much more. The french fries were good. The pot pie was so-so, could do better at home. The biscuit topping was very good. Dessert was very good - they must have a separate chef for desserts and baking? When I commented about the lack of seasoning and sweetness for the chutney, I was told the chef doesn't like to use salt or sugar - says this is the way to cater to his customers. I think there is a way to cater to all customers.
Overall, the staff is 5 stars plus. Maybe order a cheese plate, a salad, and a dessert and you will be satisfied - stay away from the main items.
Note* last time I ate there (pre-virus) the food was fine. Hit or Miss for food.
In this era of Covid, it’s hard to say anything but fine. The overall atmosphere and rules have taken so much of the fun and joy out of the dining out experience.
Lovely under a tent. Live music. Service extremely slow but we were fortunately not in a hurry! We will be back.
Our favorite place to eat on special occasions! We always know that we will get good food and service.
Great food and service!
it was very good. The quality is consistently good
During this pandemic, it was a delight to enjoy a great restaurant outside. The staff were so careful about contact, and I was extremely impressed with their cleaning procedure when other people left their table. The food was excellent!! Highly recommend this special place!!
Outstanding food and service!!!
Disappointing. I know COVID outdoor dining presents challenges but there was no excuse for the terrible set up complete with a broken chair on uneven ground; particularly since we had a reservation and two really nice tables emptied with 5 minutes of being seated, which remained vacant the entire time we were there. The menu was very limited and ultimately the food was bad. Skip it.
I said noisy because rude motorcyclists we’re going through town and deliberately being obnoxious. Not the Beek’s fault at all.
I have eaten at the Beekman for 50 years. It’s had some glorious Chefs and some really bad ones. What a treat during a pandemic crisis that the current chef is a good one. Our lunch was innovative and fresh. Some of the oldie hoodies but also some dishes that honored the late summer season.
The staff is thoughtful, professional. I wondered but didn’t inquire if the nearby Culinary Institute of America was staffing the place. Very good service.
We had very polite and courteous service from Anna.
The food was amazing!!
Excellent service and ambiance. We really enjoyed our brunch.
The Tavern at The Beekman Arms was a wonderful experience. Lovely setting and the food was wonderful. Very good wine list and had a delicious bottle of red at a reasonable price. Fantastic service as well. Looking forward to going back next time I'm in Rhinebeck.
Great lunch will go back . Place feels full of history.
The Tavern at Beekman Arms never disappoints and they have maintained their commitment to their patrons even during the pandemic. Food was wonderful, the customer service team was cheerful and very professional. We went there for lunch one day and dinner the next evening on a mini break and enjoyed both meals. Very relaxing , very enjoyable.
Covid-19 was foremost on our minds when we made our reservation. They allayed our fears as soon as we arrived. They placed us in the 3-season room by ourselves. The waitstaff wore rubber gloves as they served our dinners. When another party arrived, they placed them at the other end of the room - four empty tables between us. They assured us they disinfected the table and chairs between seatings, washed the doors and doorknobs approximately every hour with disinfectant wipes and didn't set the table until the guests arrived at the tables. We had a wonderful dining experience in the wake of troubling times. Dinner was excellent, too!
Nice ambiance, good menu with many options, excellent service - it was a great place for a family lunch.
Our server was very attentive and friendly. The manager was insistent that they try to rectify a drink I didn’t care for, she was very accommodating. When staff saw me hobbling up to the front door with my walker a young lady bolted outside to assist me and helped me safely all the way to my seat.
Frankly, I think some of the lunch prices are a little steep and I think a broader offering in sandwiches would be a good step. However, the potato chips were outstanding.
The charm of the Inn and your current staff are the secret to our successful luncheon to celebrate our friends promotion. Thank you.
Absolutely loved it. The food was fantastic. I had the pot pie and it was delicious. Loved the atmosphere of the Tavern. Would definitely come again.
Have had better nights at the Beek. Where to start. Excellent young waiter.
Cheese plate not served at room temp.
Prime rib King cut small. Dessert special, strawberry tart, was poor. Crust was soggy.
Upside remains the ambiance of the green house.
We had filet that was cooked to perfection! My girlfriend and I will definitely be back!
The waiter here served my husband nuts after being told/asked SIX separate times if the dish was safe. When we asked how it could have happened the manager said the waiter didn't write it on the order. The manager of the restaurant drove us to the hospital in a car that stunk of weed and when I called later to ask questions was incredibly rude, suggesting that no one was the blame- I would argue both the waiter and he are to blame- properly train your staff on allergies!!!!!
